I'm very impressed, Turtle Jacks has made a name for itself to compete with Moxie's, Jack Astor's the Keg etc. I really truly believe its done it. After arriving at so many Turtle Jacks at other locations, Financial Drive Turtle Jacks delivers consistent quality and wonderfully updated modern decor. It's humble location is only a face of restaurant, the inside is totally a investment for the branch as we saw so many pops of modern art inside. The food was great, each served with perfect temperature and was delicious. The portions could be bigger but the quality was certainly there. I always end the night with Turtle pie and it didn't disappoint as usual. The server was great, and she did a great job explaining the menu to us. Some notes to make things even better, is even though the prices are okay, I wouldn't expect customers to pay the Keg prices at Turtle Jacks. I think in the end it's a Great place to sit and chat but not amazing for a full sit down dinner party. Small plates are perfect and I'd love to see more for that, as the bar vibes are amazing at this newly decked out restaurant. Making sure that the customers feel at ease for a meal is important, and a key is to separate the bar from the sit down. We did not feel like a full meal was required so we just did apps, it reminded us too much of a bar. I would definitely come back again for more drinks and apps!

It was amazing the crisp tortillas made the bowl a hit. My friend enjoyed the Good For Your Soul Power Bowl A healthy, delicious combination of kale, pickled beets, carrots, bacon, feta, green onion, barley, pumpkin seeds and grilled chicken mixed with our awesome tahini dressing. She thought it was excellent. The server was quick and very friendly. The ambiance is a great sports bar with lots of TVs. The washrooms are individual stalls and were clean.

The vibe was definitely chill and fun with more than 30 big tv all over the place. There was even a bobsled hanging on the roof! This is definitely the place to be to watch sports games. Even their cutlery was in the shape of a hockey stick! The restaurant's layout is kinda strange. The main bar are is in the center with tv above it arrange like a jumbotron. Then on either side are raised seating areas with high tables. We were seated here and people kept on bumping into me because the chairs were so close together. Now for the food. I think that for $50, the 40oz ribeye was a steal. The cut was nice and thick and the meat was juicy, with crunchy edges. It can with some potato hash that was baked with cheese, some green beans and a couple of beet slices (these were pretty bland) and a nice big piece of garlic bread. The garlic bread was cheesy and the baguette was nicely toasted. The special also came with a bottle of their signature steak sauce (this one was mustard based with sesame, completely different than the usual bbq-based, vinegar sauce). Of course, hubby and I both had to pack about half of each of our portions. We made steak fajita with it the next night. Service was good (considering how busy they were last night), ambience was perfect, beer was cheap. Plus they have daily specials. If you're looking for a fun hang out place with friends, you've gotta go to The Canadian Brewhouse!

When I walked in? It definitely looked like a British pub! Not a bad thing, right? I was seated at the bar right away and ordered a Lionheart lager. It definitely hit the spot. As I perused the menu, I saw they had shepherds pie! Not the official one with lamb and all that - no, this was ground beef. But when a boy is hungry? Damn! You gotta go for it right? I put in the order, started drinking the beer, and waited about 15 minutes for the shepherds pie to come out. Man, that was one fine, looking shepherds pie! The mashed potatoes had been lovingly put on top and it had a nice little bit of red peppers and carrots and broccolini on the side - oh nice! I took my first bite, and I fell in love. Man, this place hit the spot! If you want a British style pub in the heart of Mississauga? Come here and you won't be disappointed. Next time I'm in the area I will come again.

Tip: Wednesday rib day has rib deals going for $10 or $15…read more It feels like an eternity ago. I flew back to the greater Toronto area from Winnipeg in mid-July. My flight was late by two hours and I was exhausted by the time I fetched my luggage off the carousel at nearly 11 pm. I decided to stay at a hotel in Mississauga and did a late checkout of 2 pm the following day. After checking out of the hotel and feeling refreshed, I was ready for lunch. I did a search and found this Chuck's Roadhouse Bar and Grill. It's steps away from Buka Maranga Cafe, which is probably my favourite cafe in Mississauga. I recall this location being an All Star Wings joint years ago. I guess it wasn't doing great business-wise and Chuck's took over. I had no problem backing into an available spot in this plaza. I then walked over to the eatery and headed inside. It took a bit of time for someone to acknowledge that I was waiting to be seated. There were two folks doing renovations, so I could understand the wait. I got a booth. There were a few folks who seemed to be regulars. They were still there when I was done with lunch. My server was Kendra. She was young, quiet, and nice. I ordered these items: - Diet Coke - Ribs and honey garlic wings, which comes with fries and extra rib sauce The latter was $15 on Wednesdays. I was indeed here on a Wednesday. Yay! I got my Diet Coke. It was fizzy and cold. Getting another refill proved to be challenging. It took a while to flag my server down. It was the only detail that needed improvement. It didn't take a lot of time for my ribs and honey garlic wings to arrive. I was ready to enjoy everything. The ribs were delicious. I put down my cutlery and used my hands. The meat was so tender. The barbeque sauce was excellent. My honey garlic wings were delicious. The wings were meaty and had a lot of crunch to them even with the sauce on them. They were enjoyable. I only had a napkin. I had to flag another server for more napkins and wet wipes. I finally flagged my server down for the bill. I paid with a credit card. I tipped and tapped to pay. Done! I used the washroom before I made my way home. The women's washroom was decent. No issues. It was nice dropping by this Chuck's for a delicious lunch. Service has room for improvement. Otherwise, I'd return for more good eats. (292)

Another way they keep the food affordable is that any extras are chargeable. For example, condiments on hamburger, blue cheese for wings etc. My biggest complaint about this location is that you will go deaf from the volume of their speakers. No joke. It's the loudest dine in place I have ever been to. I can still feel my ears ringing after visiting this particular location. Service is nice but somewhat slow. The servers are friendly though. After 9pm, they have half price appetizers. I enjoyed the 16 piece wings which were a good size and crispy with one sauce for approximately $12. The calamari tasted good, it was also crispy, but the portion was small for approximately $7. Grams head prices are the after 9pm half price appetizers special. They have different specials for different days. I read there's a drink special during Leafs games. I just happened to go after 9pm and would go again to try other appetizers and get more crispy fried wings!

I come here all the time for dinner and the food never disappoints. I came here for my anniversary with my boyfriend and we enjoyed our meal. We made a reservation for around 7pm, and they took us to the patio outside. I personally prefer being seated indoors, as it can get either too hot or too cold in the winter, but it is quite nice when the weather cooperates. The tables are also personally on the small side so keep that in mind if you're planning to order many appetizers. Our waitress was incredibly friendly and served us quickly. We ordered beef tacos to start. We usually get the fish tacos (which are some of our favourite tacos in the city) but we wanted to try something new. These tacos were great and the sauces were amazing. We then had the Burrata Fresco. It was our first time having this as well and we were quite pleased with it. The cheese was super creamy and went super well with the bread. Usually, the mains take a while to come, especially if you come on a weekend night (this was Father's day weekend, so it took a bit longer than usual) Finally we got to our mains. He had his usual, the Chimichurri steak sandwich, and I got a fish and chips, which i had never tried before. His steak was great and cooked really well. I've had the steak sandwich before as well and it was super well seasoned and cooked perfectly. Do keep in mind they only serve it with one slice of bread, though you can add an additional slice to make it a real sandwich. My fish and chips were good as well. The fish was thickly battered and was a little on the oily side but it wasn't bad. It went great with the truffle fries I ordered. They slaw was purple cabbage, which I think I prefer to the green cabbage kind. The restaurant was kind enough to give us a free cheesecake on the side with a cool flame sparkler for me and my boyfriend's anniversary. It was quite good and we thought is was quite generous of the restaurant. Overall, Taps is a great all rounder place to get food with your family or friends. They serve great pizzas here as well and I haven't had a dish i was disappointed with yet. It is on the pricier side, but if you have the ability to splurge, this is a great place to do so.

For my main I got the truffle mushroom ravioli, it was good but got a bit too salty towards the end. I also tried a slice of the pepperoni which was good as well. The patio was really busy when we went so I'd recommend making a reservation in advance!
