We ordered a fresh squeezed OJ, tomato & mushroom flatbread, veggie chili, and a veggie panini. My veggie panini had a rogue piece of meat, which I brought to the staff's attention; they immediately apologized and offered me a complimentary menu item. Service as friendly. Ambience was generic. There is no sound dampening so the sound echoes and bounces around. No matter where you go it is hard to have a conversation. Coffee is fine. I was surprised to hear that the mocha is made with Nestle powder in a restaurant that emphasized organic food. My friend got a sandwich that came with carrots and grapes. Looked good. read more

Really cute place. Lots of fun options with new twists. I really enjoyed the strawberry turkey panini with Brie cheese so delicious. Wasn't the prettiest looking but who cares it tasted delicious with a fun spice with the pepper jelly and pesto. Quick and courteous service. My boyfriend really like their iced coffee and he got a bacon egg and cheese on a bagel that he said was really good. Fun touch their iced tea and iced coffee are served in frosted glasses. I also appreciated they do grapes and carrots on the side with a cheese dip spread as an alternative to chips and salsa without an up charge. Would definitely come back to. This place was cool. We found it randomly on Google and decided to check it out. It's got a little hipster vibe but this place was awesome. I ordered the beef and mushroom panini, and my wife had a strawberry turkey brie panini which we were told was the popular item there. Mine came with a side of chips and salsa, and hers came with carrots and grapes. Both tasted excellent but I think mine was better. Parking is interesting because some of the parking meters on the streets don't work. Overall this was a great place with a great menu. read more

I stopped into this cafe because I saw the advertment on Groupon and it looked good so I came in, upon arrival due to the cov-19 pandemic they had social distancing rules set in and the masks required... There was a lengthy line to wait in, however they did take my order within a fair amount of time I originally ordered the salad chicken pita but they were all sold out...So instead my second choice I ordered was the Hawaiian grilled cheese with a side of mac and cheese and a turtle latte. The mac and cheese was good but slightly cold by the time I got it due to how busy they were but the Hawaiian grilled cheese was exceptionally delicious and not cold at all. The turtle latte was definitely really good I needed this because I was feeling alittle sleepy and needed a pick me up.. I would say as far as pricing they were kinda expensive but I gathered it was because they are a small and privately owned business. I liked the atmosphere although very busy overall they had a good teamwork I would like to see them expand at least one more restuarant in the broome county area where there also is Suny college which would probably attract more college kids.. Huge portions... so big that I often split it or have enough for two meals. I read previous reviews about the crazy busy lunch hour but decided to stop in when I was nearby. I am so happy I did! While busy, the staff was welcoming, friendly and super efficient. The menu had vegetarian options and I was most intrigued by the Roasted Veggie Panini. It was SO GOOD! The veggies were thick and meaty, marinated just enough. The side of carrots and grapes was awesome, so refreshing to not be offered French fries! I truly wish I lived or works closer, highly highly recommend! read more

We stopped in back in July for breakfast. There were quite a few of us as we were all in town for our family reunion. All of us ordered something different and there was a variety of age groups amongst us. I cannot speak enough to the volume quality and attention to service we received. All the staff were beyond friendly and willing to answer any questions about the menu. The owner had anticipated our arrival and graciously moved tables around to accommodate all of us so we could sit together. There were a variety of other patrons in the restaurant when we were there and everything that they ordered and I saw looked just as good as our delicious food. Of course one of my favorite things is smoothies and the smoothies here at Turtle Leaf are excellent. The staff will happily substitute any ingredient in a smoothie to make it exactly how you would like it. It's not often you walk into a place and see the owner himself working alongside his staff. I think this speaks volumes to the quality and overall wonderful atmosphere at this Cafe! I wish I lived in town so I could visit more frequently but I am already anticipating my next trip to Elmira so I can go back to Turtle leaf and try some more delicious food. What a nice and refreshing place to eat. We missed our exit for the local Cracker Barrel and needed breakfast. Came upon this restaurant by chance. We arrived too late for breakfast. We opted for the It's Greek to Me salad and a Chef Salad. Everything made with fresh vegetables. Who says one cannot eat healthy while traveling. Really easy on and off the highway, the menu has a lot of interesting and different sandwiches, paninis and salads. The food is excellent, made to order and fresh. While traveling for work, I needed a quick and healthy lunch. I placed an order over the phone, but they forgot to prepare it. I had to wait about 7 minutes as they prepared my food. No one is perfect, so I won't hold that against them. The food was delicious and fresh. I had a veggie wrap and a strawberry almond salad. Both items were very good. Their menu was full of great options and it was hard for me to pick one, which is why I got two :). If I work in this area again, I'll be sure to come back. A wonderful, locally owned restaurant. It's casual with a varied menu - funky salads, sandwiches, wraps, milkshakes (you can have protein powder added like I did), and smoothies. They have breakfast, and also a kids' menu. One of my favorites is their version of a grilled cheese - done on ciabatta bread in a panini press - and you can either have chips & salsa, or (my fave) red grapes and these mini carrots with a delectable dip!! I've also tried one of their green smoothies - spinach, pineapple, mango & other fruit - so yummy and refreshing!!! And a s'mores milkshake! Yum!
