The restaurant is very small, but is comfy for smalls groups. The lamb was good. Sangria is too sweet. Paella is a little bit expensive for the quality.

The restaurant is small and cute. Wait staff are friendly, and their sangria is tasty. You can't taste very much alcohol in the sangria, but it's still good. We ordered the paella de marisco and lamb chops. Both were average. The lamb was somewhat tough and the paella was a bit watery. I expected more from a place that specializes in paella.

This is a real Paella made by a Spaniard (me) the right rice used!

I ate here once and once only...disappointed that something as basic as the rice was incorrect! If you cannot get the rice right it's not an authentic Paella! How do I know this I am a Spaniard attached you will see what my Paella looks like a Authentic Paella! I was told when I asked about the rice that it was the right rice UM WRONG!!!! Sorry for anyone that goes here and thinks that they are getting a real Paella! I promise the real thing is way better than what you get here!

Class hole in a wall or hole in a strip mall but food was great. As authentic as I would imagine Spanish tapas to be. We tried a bit of everything and a few items are pictured. Only advice: the paella is huge! watch how much you order as tapa can be small but most plates here are bigger than the average tapas. Definitely got what I paid for.

I really don't like writing anything negative about a restaurant while they are struggling right now, but, I just can't give a false review. We ordered calamari (wasn't delivered--restaurant issue or GrubHub driver error? We don't know but we didn't get it). We also ordered the Ham Croquettes Hot Tapas (the only reason I can give 2 stars because my husband raved about them!, Cazuela de Mariscos and Paella Valenciana. The Cazuela de Mariscos also came with a choice of 2 sides so I chose mixed veggies and Spanish potatoes. I expected spice, flavor, salt & pepper at least. The stew was full of seafood but only 1 mussel out of 3 opened. (You aren't supposed to eat them if they don't open). And there was just no spice. Very dull. Even the Spanish potatoes had no salt or pepper or anything! Just mushy potatoes. And I'm sorry, but I think the veggies were from a bag of frozen vegetables that were popped in the microwave (and had ZERO seasoning on them). The Paella? Unfortunately, it was extremely overcooked. It was like it had been prepared early that morning and had sat all day waiting for someone to order then reheated. And again, ZERO spice or flavor. My aunt was from Madrid so I know this wasn't authentic in any fashion. On our last night here, we wanted something special but this did not hit the spot at all.

Delicious we had the paella mixta and for appetizer the shrimp dessert crema catalana WOW the owner and older lady is absolutely pleasant conversation.

I've been eyeing this place off of John Young Pkwy for a while and finally went to go with a friend. Wow--if you ever want to see where the local Spanish community is, this is it. With Spain's large flag hanging in the background and the from Spain accents of the customers who usually greet the employees with hugs, this place screams authenticity. Although one may initially balk at the price of a paella for two (~$36), rest assured that the paella for two is more than enough, lasting me four days after with leftovers. We got the squid-ink paella, which comes on a huge plate that is scooped out to you by your server. The paella was absolutely delicious, with the squid-ink adding juice a subtle seafood flavor and thankfully does not blacken the teeth. The seafood was small but tender, while the dish itself is incredibly filling, making it good conversation food with a group. Overall, warm authentic atmosphere with grand delicious portions. Looking forward to my next visit.

Amazing, flaky empanadas. It was quiet on a weeknight at dinner. Paella was overall great; white meat chicken simmered a bit too long.

We started with the empanadas, and they were perfectly crisp with a delicious, well-seasoned filling that disappeared way too quickly. The real star of the meal, though, was the fried whole snapper. The fish was beautifully fried with crispy skin while remaining tender and flaky inside. It was generously portioned and paired perfectly with the traditional sides, making for an incredibly satisfying meal. The restaurant has a lively atmosphere, generous portions, and the kind of comfort food that keeps you thinking about your meal long after you've left. It's easy to see why Chimiking has become a go-to spot for Dominican cuisine in Orlando and is frequently recommended by both locals and visitors. Whether you're already familiar with Dominican food or trying it for the first time, Chimiking is well worth the visit. I'll definitely be back the next time I'm in Orlando to work my way through more of the menu.

Disappointing Experience at Tropical Mofongo…read more I'm extremely disappointed with my experience at Tropical Mofongo. I called to place an order and was told they would not take my order over the phone and that I had to order online. I followed their instructions and placed an online order totaling over $100. The order indicated that my food would be ready at 3:17 PM. I arrived at approximately 3:30 PM, only to find that my food was still not ready. When I went to pick up the order, I was asked to provide identification. Unfortunately, I had left my ID at the hotel where I was staying. I did have a picture of my ID on my phone, but instead of accepting that, I was told they wanted to write down my driver's license number. Given the amount of identity theft and fraud happening today, I was not comfortable providing my driver's license number for someone to write down. They offered me a refund, and I ultimately left without the food I had ordered. I understand that businesses have policies regarding identification, but the entire experience was frustrating and lacked customer service. I followed their instructions to order online, paid over $100, arrived at the stated pickup time, and still walked away without my food. Unfortunately, based on this experience, I cannot recommend Tropical Mofongo. The customer service and handling of the situation were extremely disappointing.

I can honestly say that this restaurant is 100% legit as far as Spanish restaurants go. On this occasion we ordered a number of Tapas to share at the table. We ordered the cured Manchego cheese and Spanish ham board, Pulpo A La Vinagreta (Octopus in Vinegar), Serrano Ham and Codfish croquettes (absolutely delicious), Spanish Omelete and Al of us decide to try the Spanish Bean Soup (Fabada Asturiana). Everything we ordered was fresh, hearty and tasted exactly as expected. No cutting corners at Turull's folks and I am pretty sure that everything else on the menu would be just as good. If you decide to try one of their paella rice dishes, you hey looked great as well but plan on 45 minutes or so before it gets to the table as it is made fresh to order, no exceptions. Honestly, that is the only way to do it.... Who wants reheated paella as that would be heresy! LOL! For dessert we ordered the Flan and the Torta de San Martin, where the torta is a traditional Spanish pastry served with Almond ice cream, and both were very good. Finishing things off with some espresso and boy life was really good at this point. The atmosphere was very welcoming as Fridays and Saturday's they have live music which was in full force during our dinner. As you can imagine, we did take advantage and "cut a little rug" before we left as well! LOL! All in all it was a great outing and nothing better than good food, good wine and family as the setup for a wonderful evening. Service was excellent as well and no worries about parking either as there is plenty available. So if you find yourselves with a hankering for some good Spanish cuisine while in the Orlando, FL area, you should definitely check them out. We will be back again next time we are in the area for sure. Enjoy and bon appétit mes amis!

The atmosphere was warm and stylish, with beautiful artwork and a lit tree in the center of the space. I'd definitely go back.

We saw hookah and the servers were dressed in tight outfits more like bottle girls. We were given iPads for menus which did have fairly accurate pictures of the cocktails. The music was obnoxious at first and so loud we almost left but luckily the DJ ended up putting on some more mellow music and taking a break while we ate. Our server was often MIA and we saw most of the staff just sitting around talking to each other, we had to ask for water and wait awhile to pay our bill. When she did bring the bill, we were told there was a service charge that didn't count as tip and she stared at us to see what we selected for the tip. Fortunately, the food was the saving grace and came out quick and was presented well. We especially liked the calamari, empanadas, salmon, and brownie dessert. They came with a torch to melt the butter on the salmon which was good. We did not care for the bao at all and the chicken fettuccine lacked flavor. Unfortunately, we would not rush back any time soon.
