Had eggplant Parmesan this evening. It lacked seasoning; was rather bland. Had to ask for seasoning.

Outstanding food and service! Love the new menu. One of my favorite restaurants for a special occasion or just a great dinner!

First time visit. This is the third restaurant trying to make a comeback here…read more Only two things impressed us =quality of the food, and an ocean view if you get to sit in the east side of the restaurant. Downfalls and Disappointments: Food portions small in relation to cost. We left hungry. Restaurant views north and south you get to see hotel guests going in and out of their hotel room. A view west you get the reception area, so the only good view is east to the ocean. We tried wine by the glass and alcohol. The only Cabernet by glass was "Bonanza" at $15 which is about $5 too much since the whole bottle is $14 retail. That's $15x5$75 they get for a $14 cost. Real nice, however icing on the cake was the bartenders are trained to measure an exact 6oz measured pour and not one drop more! Like it's a $200 bottle of wine lol All drinks with cheap alcohol measured same way you don't get one drop more of a 4 oz shot. Had a conversation with the resident manager who basically coughed it all up to "industry standard" attitude, not understanding you have got to let bartenders POUR! Anyway my professional suggestion for this venue is good luck getting returning locals to come in on a regular basis when there are plenty of other venues we can spend our money and feel like we are getting our money's worth and stop the "industry standard attitude " of working your bar off a spreadsheet. If you plan to visit this restaurant, make sure you either eat something light before you go, and drink a few drinks before hand to help out on this visit

Decided to have my birthday dinner here. Service was very good and the meal was exceptional.read more

We showed up a bit early for our reservation so we ended up grabbing a drink at one of the outdoor patio bars (there are multiple different restaurant/bar setups all in one on the property. After about a 20 minute wait we were shown to our table in the back right corner of the main interior dining room with JR as our server. Service was great and the food even better. We went all in tasting the following; - Fried Deviled Eggs - Fried Goat Cheese Croquettes - Fried Okra - Pimento Cheese - Dill Pickle Cheddar Biscuits - Petite Beef Tenderloin - Cheesecake Everything was absolutely delicious and I do mean EVERYTHING. You won't go wrong with any of these selections. We left stuffed and had plenty of leftovers to take with us to enjoy as snacks later in the evening. I definitely have a new go-to spot when I'm in the area next time.

Gulfstream Cafe deserves higher reviews than what is on this site. My husband and I visited on our…read morereturn from Charleston. The staff was warm and friendly, and even the manager checked on us to make sure that everything was okay. We arrived early, and dined off the Early Bird menu. We both had a salad, warm sourdough bread, tenderloin medallion steak, potatoes, and a small veggie serving. Each meal was around $20, which is a great value in these times. My husband was served a large bowl of ice cream. The weather was perfect and the views are always amazing. Overall, it was a beautiful evening. My only issue is that it's not the easiest place to get to, about 3 miles south of the Garden City pier. We had a wonderful time and we'll return.

After 16 years of ending our annual beach vacation with dinner at Gulfstream Cafe, this visit…read morereminded us exactly why we come back, and why we tell all of our friends this is a restaurant to never miss. The setting is second to none. We (grandparents, parents, friends, teens and little one) always enjoy dinner on the upper deck, overlooking the marina as the sun sets over the water. The views are stunning, (Insta-mazing) the atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming, and it is the perfect way to close out a week at the beach. This year, however, it was the people who made the evening unforgettable. During dinner, we learned that our vehicle was in the process of being towed. Before we even knew what was happening, manager Jason Burch personally came to find us and alert us to the situation. He didn't simply notify us and move on--he stayed with us, helped us navigate the issue, and made sure everything was resolved. He even offered to pay the towing fee himself and help us find another parking space. That level of concern, generosity, and personal accountability is something you rarely encounter anywhere today. Our server, Graydon, was equally outstanding. Attentive without being intrusive, friendly, professional, and genuinely invested in making sure we had a great evening. Even with the unexpected stress of the parking situation, Graydon kept us laughing. Anyone can provide good food and beautiful views. What sets Gulfstream Cafe apart is its people. Jason Burch demonstrated extraordinary leadership and hospitality and delivered outstanding service from start to finish. Together, they turned what could have been a frustrating end to our vacation into a reminder of why we have chosen Gulfstream Cafe year after year for more than a decade and a half. Thank yous in spades to the Gulfstream Cafe team. We look forward to returning next year for year number 17.
