I would not recommend this place. I called ahead of time and was told that they would take my insurance. They did not. When I arrived, they took a series of x-rays, including the comprehensive x-rays that insurance will only allow once every three years. I just wanted to get my teeth cleaned but was told I needed deep cleaning. Dr. Elgazar told me that it would be fine if I wanted to wait on the deep cleaning. He said it would be fine even if it was 6 months later. However when I asked just to get the regular cleaning done, he left and a hygienist came and said it was not "best practice" to do the regular cleaning and that I would need to do the deep cleaning today. She said if I wanted, I could do half the deep cleaning today and pay just for the half. Then she told me she had run my insurance and that I would still need to pay a couple hundred out of pocket for the deep cleaning that day. I told her that I had just come for regular cleaning and was not comfortable with anything else, especially anything out of pocket. I felt like she was really pushing for me to get it done, and when I said I was leaving, she asked that I sign the document with the prices for the deep cleaning. When I refused, she pushed again and said I should sign it because it was just to make sure she went over the prices with me. I did sign it but left feeling like I was scammed. I called the office later after I checked with my insurance and found out about them doing the x-rays I could only get once every three years. I was told by the front office that if I went to any other dental office, they would not be able to use the x-rays, and I would need to get them redone. Either way, I felt like she was implying I was stuck with them. In total, I only got the x-rays done. No cleaning or anything else. Just checked my insurance and was told they were out of network. The claim they filed totaled to $345. I believe I may have to call the office again to discuss if I will need to come back to pay them. I honestly liked talking to Dr. Elgazar and I felt like he was very knowledgeable in the brief interaction I had with him. I understand it's a business, but some of their practices when it comes to pushing services were very poorly handled. I felt like there was a lack of transparency in this whole process. Even though Dr. Elgazar did not personally facilitate this, it does not totally absolve him from all responsibility for what i believe to be unethical practices by his assistants. I will be looking for another dental provider. read more

Dr. Riad is wonderful, everyone in staff is excellent. To Jenny, the movie is Urban Cowboy . I'm overwhelmed by the level of skill, efficiency and, mostly, the pride they show in their work. I'm very thankful that my family found them. And pretending to like my husband's dad jokes I had a crown (not the one I dreamt of as a little girl) and I felt no pain but assurance the entire time. TL;DR: Professionalism, skill, and empathy! This was the best experience I've had at a dentist. Considering it was a root canal, that's saying something! My story: Like most folks, I've never really looked forward to a dental appointment. At other dentists, I usually leave feeling like I went to buy a used car with all the services they try to push on me. At my last appointment with my previous dentist, I was informed that I needed a root canal. As a small business owner, without the greatest dental insurance, the cost was just too much so I decided to wait. After some time I began to experience pain, but I continued to delay because of COVID. Three days ago the tooth broke -- in half! I went back to the dentist in Irvine who told me (of course) the most expensive treatment was my only option. Instead I decided to check out Tustin Dental Center after a friend recommended them. Dr. Khoudari was amazing. He started by taking X-rays and photos from every angle. I'm a scientist and this was the first time I felt like my dentist was actually collecting comprehensive data to determine the right treatment. Dr. Khoudari thoroughly and thoughtfully explained my options. He told me that he would try to save it if it were his tooth. I opted to try and save my tooth. My old dentist would have pushed me into the most expensive option, but Dr. Khoudari was looking out for my interests. He took the initiative and treated me right away. There was no pain during the treatment. Dr. Khoudari was skillful and efficient, he rebuilt my tooth in a couple of hours! A day later, there is no pain! I have been to other dentists where you feel they are constantly trying to rip you off - this place is the opposite. They explain all charges based on what you need and go over your insurance coverage/copay. They are also diligent with their safety precautions. People are spaced out far from each other, all employees are wearing their mask properly and they are meticulous about sanitizing and cover all chairs with disposable covers from top to bottom.
