Months later and one of my front teeth and one bottom tooth has faced stress and wear from malocclusion, because of my bite being ground down unnecessarily from the dental assistant. My bite was filed lower as I elaborated in my initial review and as a result, my front teeth have somewhat experienced wear on the edges from a lower, maligned bite. Where do I even start? This was by far the best experience I have ever had with a dentist. Unfortunately I broke my tooth during deployment. It was a small at first but it only got bigger. Getting ready to leave again and I needed it fix. Dr Hablani was able to offer an appointment at the time that I needed it. Their office hours are great for us working people. I had to get a root canal and some cavities filled. I was scared because everyone had horror stories about root canals and just going to the dentist in general. Let me tell you I felt nothing during the root canal or any of the procedures for that matter. I was prepared to possibly take the next day off work and take 500mg Tylenol but none of it was necessary because I was just fine the next day. I had mild normal inflammation and I only took an Ibu as a precaution but honestly I didnt even need it. She did such a good job. I finally got my crown and it was the same pleasant experience (Yes I said pleasant to a Dentist visit). Everyone who works there is pretty friendly, respectful and well educated on the field. They take the time to explain to you anything from billing, to each step on a procedure and even a little lesson on how to better brush hehe Overall I recommend this place. Easy parking. Great hours. I went in because I had a tooth ache they went ahead and took X-rays made a list of all the problems my teeth have recommended all these things that my insurance does not cover and when I declined because I have no money for all of that they told me how I would pretty much become some walking std that's going to infect everyone I come across with my gingivitis and pretty much made it seem like a death sentence if I didn't get all the work they suggested. Oh and about my tooth that ached they said the only thing they can do is extract it without there being any possibility of getting implants in the future just straight up take it out and that's that. I am the biggest wuss, I mean wuss when it comes to dental care. Mostly given my ongoing medical conditions that make my teeth and gums so sensitive and complicate everything. PRO: The staff were friendly, wait time was very short, paperwork was quick, the office and restroom appeared clean, they used digital x-rays, they also took regular digital photos of every tooth, they gave instructions on how to properly brush and floss, and they also emailed me my x-rays images quickly after I requested them. Thank you, Dr. Hablani and staff! :) CON: During/after the appointment, I felt concerned/scared because what I was hearing didn't line up with what I've heard for years from my usual dentist. From my usual dentist, I've had pretty positive ("you're doing a good job"), no big problems, every 6 months dental visits for ~8 years. My usual dentist (afterwards) told me that Dr. Hablani's assessment and treatment plan was completely an over-diagnosis. Dr. Hablani/staff told me that I have: gum disease, 6mm pockets, bone loss, multiple cavities, abrasion, and they recommended laser treatment and a deep cleaning. Why did I make an appointment with Comfort Dental Spa? Because this office accepts Medi-Cal Dental insurance (I don't have private dental insurance at the moment), the office is local, and the office has almost 5/5 stars on Yelp (with only one poor review before this one).
