I realize owning a business in the local Irvine area, likely has higher rent so margins may be more difficult to meet. However, just a mile or two within its radius or other dry cleaners where hemming is much cheaper as well as laundering service. Hemming at this location was $20 for any type of material and length. Their price is higher than other nearby places so I thought they would put extra care, but the quality of their service and work is very low. The manager has zero customer service skills and will never be apologetic ( I will say that all the employees are like that there) about an unpleasant experience. Long story short I brought my dress to be fixed at the beginning of the zipper and walked out with the zipper not being fixed and two holes in my dress, not to mention that they cheat on their chargers, CHECK YOUR BILL before you hand over your credit card. I stood there and went back and forth with them as they implied that I was lying about the job not being done, two holes and over charged. Not happy with the fact that I wasn't told how much my total was going to be when I dropped off my clothes. The women took my clothes, gave me the ticket then walked in the back. When I came to pick up my items, I was charged $40...for 3 items. When I asked why so expensive, I was told I should have asked when I dropped them off. Have been coming here for years and has always been my go-to place for alterations or hard to clean items. They quoted me a price for alterations and cleaning that I agreed with. When I went to pick up they said a price that was 20% higher. When I showed them my drop-off quote they said, "Oh, the person entered the wrong code." I had taken in a white blazer with a huge stain on the back-I thought for sure it would t come out, but wanted to try. I picked up my jacket today & it was pristine! Nicely pressed, all stains removed, it looked brand new! The cherry on top of this experience was a pair of trousers I'd brought in. I'd only worn them a few times, they were very expensive, and the hem had come undone on one of the pant legs. I didn't say anything because I wasn't expecting anything more than having them cleaned. Regarding Natalie's review below. I was standing behind her while she was complaining (yes Natalie it's me). First of all, absolutely NO racist comments were made. Natalie was yelling at the poor cashier about dress repairs. The cashier explained she couldn't do anything for her "now" but she could come back when the manager was present (he was out of town) in a week. The cashier even called another employee, Norma. for advice. Natalie refused to accept the cashier's choices and kept yelling at her. This is when I asked Natalie if I could pay so I could be on my way. She then starts yelling at me to mind my own business. I stepped to her side and handed the cashier my credit card. She continued to yell at the two of us. I suggested she either come back when the manager was present or just move on. Natalie then started screaming profanities at us. Oh, doing all this while holding her infant daughter. This cleaners does a good job and will fix any problems. They offered to help Natalie but she didn't want to come back to speak to the manager. I came here on a Saturday at 8:00am and was surprised that it was already open! Most places don't open till 9-10 on Saturdays. Their hours are... 7am-7pm on weekdays 8am-6pm on Saturday 10am-4pm on Sundays Convenient hours for a working gal like me! They were really professional and for one pants alteration and 2 dry cleaning jobs I paid only $22. Not bad at all. Great hem job on my pants, I couldn't even tell they were hemmed! One negative - they don't have any changing rooms so you kind of have to know how much you want hemmed prior to coming in. You won't be able to change and have them measure you for the hemming. Im not one to complain about small businesses but there are some things that are simply not justifiable. First of all the prices are much higher than other places that provide better customer service. But what takes the cake for me is the utter disregard for personal items. I left 2 suits for dry cleaning and a dress shirt, a white dress shirt. Due to travel the items were left there longer then I would have liked, but when I picked up my items the lady mentions they were unable to fix my dress shirt. Imagine the look of confusion when I asked fix what? Apparently a hole had formed on my sleeve, that mind you wasn't there when I dropped it off. Additionally the shirt itself had looked like it was laying in a corner of their store, there were black stains on the collar and dirt stains on the other sleeve. Mind you I had worn this shirt to a business meeting not the rodeo. Then to have the audacity to say it was my fault. Yikes. Thank you but no thank you. read more
