Once he was here, we asked him his opinion on two wall switches in a different room that were not working, and he stayed longer (while I ran to Home Depot for new toggle switches) to fix both of them as well for just a little more added to our total. The fan install was a little more difficult than Ted anticipated, and it was an insane night in our home as well (my husband's car was at the shop and he needed it for work the next day so we had to get that taken care of while Ted was here working) - I'm sure he thought we were nuts, but he was very gracious and understanding about everything! It was a hassle, because the contractor and I would have to go and turn off the power, because we could not do the work with live power. Their electrician did the work in significantly less time than it took for the contractor and I to do the same amount of work. Plus, they fixed my work where I made a couple of mistakes. While the electrician was working on the switches, the other person was working on setting up the programs for controlling the lights. They did an excellent job. I can control my lights from anywhere in the world, where I have an Internet connection. I have my outside lights set up to come on at dusk and turn off at dawn. I have inside lights programmed to come on at different times. I can program the lights to come on differently each day, if I want to do that. One of the guys shows me the cameras in the inside of his house and he can turn on and off the lights from my house, which is in a different city. I think the technology is awesome. They also can automate your garage door, thermostat, security systems, etc. I did not do the garage door, but I think that I will do that in the future. It allows you to see if you forgot to close your garage, and you can do this from your home or from anywhere you have an Internet connection. You can then open it or close it from a web connection. The thermostat service is also nice, because you can regulate the temperature from anywhere. However, my budget did not allow for me to get everything that I wanted done at one time. In addition, I wanted to see the quality of work that they provided. I was impressed with their work and I will definitely use them again in the future.
