Walking by, I realized I didn't want to eat turkey leftovers one more time, so I pitched it all in the trash and popped in for a hot, fresh Philly Cheesesteak. Best decision of the day! It was so nice to eat outside, on a sunny winter day, all by myself. I was taking so many pictures one of the workers came out and asked if I wanted her to take a picture of me with the San Antonio sign. I declined, telling her I wasn't a tourist. She said she had thought I was, and I took it as a compliment. Tourists are impressed with everything around them, and that's how I felt in that moment.

Upon arriving at this quaint little establishment, you can see they have a nice, covered area to sit and eat at for those sunny/blistering days. I was greeted by the owner of Twelve Stone who mans the front of the house while his spouse is a "retired" boss wife in the kitchen! He was incredibly pleasant, professional and personable. The shop was clean and organized. I love establishments that show pictures of the food because it allows you to visualize what you're about to indulge in. They do run daily specials and he let me know what that was. They also have a display of home-made fresh baked goods right in front! How could you not get a scrumptious dessert after your meal? Freshly baked cookies & brownies!!! Yum! They have a simple but delicious menu catered to everyone! They also have freshly made shakes, snow cones and the best ice cream, blue bell!! I ordered: - toasted Italian sub: pepperoni, ham, salami, cheese with lettuce, tomatoes and a house made dressing, toasted on a sub bun sprinkled with so goodness on top. It was perfectly toasted, with the right amount of condiments. Hot and fresh! - walnut brownies: soft, not overly sweet and perfectly balanced with crushed walnuts on top! It was heaven! It was served with lays potato chips and a drink. If you're looking for fresh, hot and fast service without the fast-food flavor, come here! I will definitely be back to try their other sandwiches!!

Everything was so good!! I was really impressed with the freshness of the sandwich (Philly). I really enjoyed the strawberry lemonade I've got a sweet tooth, but if you don't really like the sugar aspect it's probably not for you. The service from the owner was very good and he was very nice. I loved the salsa verde. The stranger things stickers also brightened up my day. Ambiance inside and out was very nice and I enjoyed the games offered. (Corn hole, big jenga) I will definitely be going back.

This lil mom and pop shop was awesome!! Very friendly and personable. I asked about the cookies and said my mom made them this morning. And she's the little old lady sitting at the end of the counter lol. Many delicious treats. I had a milkshake and a cookie and both were delicious. My son had a tiger's blood sno cone and it was gone. They also have food!! Give them a try. You won't be disappointed.

Such a great little place on the south side! Benny and Maria (the owners) take pride in their shop and it is one of our favorite places to grab a quick bite to eat. Maria makes all the soups herself and they are AMAZING! My favorite is the loaded baked potato soup, but the tomato bisque is excellent as well. I always get the grilled cheese and soup and it hits the spot. Maria's brownies are so yummy and I always make sure to buy an extra one for my dad because they are his favorite. My kids also love coming here for both the food and because they love the outdoor seating area. There is a giant connect four game and space for them to play while we enjoy our food. There is plenty of parking out front too! I had a photo of my soup but yelp won't let me upload! Will try to add it later.

What a little gem in the Southside of SA! This family-owned business is a worthwhile stop if you're in the area and have a craving for a snack. The place is super clean and they have a great patio for hanging out complete with tables and outdoor mini games. The service was fairly quick, especially given they make everything fresh on the spot. They have a yummy variety of savory snacks and sweets. A must try is their hibiscus tea. They put the ice in a cup in the freezer so when you get it, the drink is extra cold and delicious! I went with a group of coworkers and we got a range of items. Their Corn in a cup was yummy and nachos came complete with jalapeños. Can't wait to go back to try more! Such a friendly space! I'm sure they get busy when the high school across the street releases around 4pm on weekdays so just prepare yourself for that if you find yourself strolling up around that time.

This place is downtown so a long drive for me . But I've been wanting to try it . I ordered the chili cheese Fritos I wish I'd known it was melted cheese and beans and not nachos cheese . It was on but got really mushy really fast. We waited over a half an hour for our order and it was a very hot day. The snowballs were ok . The syrup was a little watered down. The staff was very friendly .

Twelve Stone is a must go place! Trust me you will not regret it! I love this place so much already..I can't wait to go again! Their hibiscus tea is to die for! The coffee! Omg the coffee! Don't even get me started! Super delicious! The waffles on a sticks are my favorite! Something so different and unique! The waffle dog was my favorite! The owners are so friendly and you can tell they care and love their place!

The second you walk in, you get that classic neighborhood deli energy: casual, welcoming, and packed with people who clearly know they're about to eat something incredible. The B.A.B (Bad Ass Brad) sandwich is one of those sandwiches you think about long after you finish it. Loaded with flavor, perfectly toasted bread, generous portions, and that balance of savory, cheesy, crispy goodness that somehow feels both indulgent and comforting at the same time. Every bite tastes fresh and over-the-top in the best way possible. It's messy, flavorful, and absolutely worth it. What makes Gino's special isn't just the food -- it's the entire experience. The staff treats you like family from the moment you walk in, and you can genuinely feel the pride they have in their sandwiches. It's the kind of place San Antonio locals recommend passionately because once you try it, you immediately understand the obsession. Between the massive sandwiches, the deli-style authenticity, and the incredible customer service, Gino's earns every bit of its cult following. The B.A.B alone is worth the trip, but honestly, this is the kind of spot where you'll want to come back and try the entire menu.

I stopped by during the early afternoon after lunch, so it wasn't too busy and ordering was quick and easy. The employees at the register were super friendly, answered my questions, and made the experience welcoming for a first-time visitor. Although I had already eaten beforehand and didn't get to try any of the sandwiches or food items yet, the menu looked delicious and gave me plenty of reasons to come back. I was able to make my way here on my last day in San Antonio in late March thanks to my flight being delayed and my oh my, I am quite impressed! The older gentleman taking my order at the counter gave me a big smile when I mentioned I heard you have this thing called the serious sandwich here. He told me that they do and then stated "You won't regret ordering it, seriously." Chuckling, I decided on a half order of that along with a side of potato salad and their side of beans. After taking my first bite, I realized the gentleman was right. This is a dope sandwich! Excellent cured meats in the salamar and pair of hams along with the provolone and melted cheddar with the veggies, spices, italian dressing, and mustard. The bread they use holds up well and has a slight crunch to it. If you prefer your bread to have softness to it, you may have to ask if they can substitute a different bread instead of the italian flat bread they use. But I absolutely love this sandwich the way it is! As for the sides, the potato salad has a slight mustard taste and right consistency with a dash of paprika on top; just the way I like it. The beans are charro beans (I think) that are served steaming hot with some pork trimmings mixed in; I may have dipped my sandwich in it a couple times for flavor explosion. What can I say, I'm adventurous! There's some ferrari memorabilia and posters on the right side where some of the high top seating is. As a Ferrari F1 fan, I appreciate them displaying this here along with the track map of the COTA circuit in Austin. The seating area is spread out nicely with plenty of seats/tables and a drink station with some random signs up. All of interest to consumers like us. Definitely recommend coming here for either the serious sandwich or other delicious ones like their meatball sandwich or manhattan. I can't wait to come back and try the other ones but I may just stick with the serious sandwich cause I loved it. SERIOUSLY!
