The Retro Plate, side of sausage gravy, and Chocolate Chip Waffle

Incredible breakfast while visiting San Antonio! My son recommended we have breakfast here and I can see why! We ordered at the counter and found our seat. I was able to get my self serve coffee. Food came out promptly and looked and tasted amazing! I got the retro breakfast with egg whites and gravy. The biscuit is the best I've ever had! Highly recommend. My husband and I split the chocolate chip waffle, also so good! Can't pass up this breakfast spot!

Gravy bowl 1/2 eaten. Came full. 5 stars.

Gravy and maple flavored coffee-Thats why you go. The five & dime taco is a wow experience. Those 3 things are 5 star. The squawking goat was not-think Panda Express in a tortilla. Weird. The steak taco is just ok. I liked the red salsa. I had a white sauce that we called tartar sauce. Also Weird. So in the end, I'd return and get biscuits and gravy and try their dark coffee. I'm a country boy with simple needs. Their Comfort food works. I can do without the modern twist. Clean and friendly service gets an approving nod. Price was kinda on the high side. $48? I'll look for cheaper items next time. Bottom line: Get the gravy. I ate what was left of my daughter's bowl with a fork - a fork. Solid.

This place shocked me. I wasn't expecting much when we ate here because the menu didn't look appealing to me. Once I tried the food I was speechless. The chicken was crispy and the flavor of the gravy was top notch. My other half had the waffles and she said it was some of the best she had ever had and her palate is more specific than mine is. The service was also excellent as they had great patience while we were looking over the menu. Definitely going more often in the future.

THE BEST WAFFLE IVE HAD IN MY LIFE. And they were only $10! Absolutely the best, it had FRESHHHH strawberries and whipped cream. The texture was absolutely amazing, perfectly crunchy edges on the out side and soooooo fluffy and soft on the inside. So so yummy. We came in a little late to closing but that staff was still super kind! The restaurant was super clean and tidy aswell. I probably won't go anywhere else for a waffle again! They also had a yummy peach berry lemonade which was really good! The chicken biscuit was also good too! Nice and flavorful! Will be back!

Maple Street Biscuit has the most delicious soft biscuits I e ever tried! Just thinking about it I want more lol. I was under the impression that you would order at the table so was a little surprised when I walked in. Food was great, I got the power bowl and would order it again but with cheddar cheese instead. After a while the goat cheese overpowered the flavors and it became too much.

Ordered delivery - fast and well packaged! The Squawking Goat was interesting but good! The goat cheese and pepper jelly are unique flavors, may or may not order again but it was cool to try. The smashbrowns were good but missing the sauce that's supposed to go with them which I think would've made them even better. Flaky biscuits with Berry Jam were delicious, the apple butter is good and the pepper jelly is interesting. Caramel Toffee Crunch Late was great as well.

The Squawking Goat has always been a favorite at MSBC's in multiple locations. This location is a bit claustrophobic, with lots of tables packed into a small space (and one ginormous round table that is out of place), so be prepared to sit very close to your table neighbor. Biscuits are fresh, chicken is moist and nicely breaded. Only concern is the fruit flies, both at the register and around the tables, which usually is not a great sign. But, if you can look past those little buggers and you'll have a tasty breakfast or lunch. They close early.

Tried this spot On a whim and let me say it was sooooo good, the service was quick and fast and the food was fresh and hot! I tried their signature hash browns which were amazing, then I tried Their grit dish, soooo good, I've never put hot sauce in my grits before but this was the magic touch and jot was sooooo good!

Its always a great spot for a quick and delicious brunch. The service is always fast and friendly, the space has a neat clean vibe with the aroma of coffee and maple syrup accompanying perfectly the ambiance.

I had a wonderful experience at this excellent and welcoming breakfast and brunch spot. It was my first visit, and I enjoyed it so much that I was able to sit outside and savor my chicken sandwich topped with pimento cheese. They also offer mimosas, which is a nice touch. Inside, there's music playing, while the outdoor area is more quiet and relaxed. Most importantly the staff was so kind and friendly!

got the squawking goat to go and it was super tasty! the ghost pepper jelly comes in another container. only thing was it lowkey took sooooo long to get but id def come back and try another biscuit! the biscuit itself wasn't crumbly or dry and the chicken was super juicy. the goat cheese is a little fried ball of cheese which also added that extra layer of flavor. def gonna come back to try the coffee and more food!

Nice clean place. Step Up to the counter and place your order. Eggs cooked to order. Then they call your name and you have the choice of eating inside or outside. My food was hot and cooked as requested. Hubby liked the freshly cooked biscuit but didn't like that the biscuit was cold. Nice friendly staff. Nice place to try.

This is one of those order then sit yourself and pick up your food places. The food is okay, chicken was sort of rubbery texture. For two biscuits, an order of smash browns (2) and two drinks it was around $45. They are pretty quick to buss tables from what I noticed, restaurant was clean. Front cashiers were nice. I would say my favorite thing was the orange juice, it is freshly squeezed in house so it is $6 a cup.

Chicken (with a slight kick) and waffles and their biscuit smothered in sausage gravy with a chicken Pattie between along with cheesy eggs!

No. You have to sit there and watch one of your heroes seemingly lifeless on the canvas. Every time you open Instagram you have to watch it again. It's what I imagine a coffee shop at the Meta "campus" would look like. There was even a little conference room with 3 flat screen TVs hung on the wall. Super interesting. FIRST TIME VISIT!…read more Walked in on a whim after a bday dinner for the hubby at the Texas Roadhouse. I was in search of a sweet treat to celebrate at home and boy, was I ever in for a treat! THE LOCATION: in a bustling and popular shopping center with tons of parking, and other fun businesses, right off the 1604 in the Alamo Ranch area. I have no idea what to expect so I just burst thru the doors like I owned the joint ready to embrace something new. THE MENU: aside from some lovely beverages, the dessert offerings are pretty straightforward. CHEESECAKE!!! And in the best possible, gourmet, decadent way. My eyes were popping out of my head! THE SERVICE: Lucky for me, a very patient gentleman behind the counter was available to assist me during a lull. I'm very grateful for the time he took to answer all my questions. THE GOODS: I knew I wanted cheesecake tonight, but after watching those sweet treats watching me right back through a shield of glass, I understood that I NEEDED cheesecake, and stat! While there were sooo many flavors available in the jars, I wanted to eat cheesecake the traditional way; with a fork to slowly dissect and discover the flavors and texture of each layer. By all appearances, these treats are not your average cheesecake and I'm so intrigued. I choose one slice of each flavor available. At $9 per slice, I'm lucky there were only 3 flavors at this hour. Lol! The jars, btw, are $7 each. Now, I had to ask what ingredients were in each flavor becs there is no written description anywhere in the store. The names do no justice in identifying what you're getting either. Names like "Summer Daze" and "Midnight Berry" leave much to the imagination. Sure, you can see chocolate and/or raspberries, but believe me... you don't really know what treasure you've got until it's melting on your tongue. I can't get home quick enough to meet up with the hubby again. Yayyyyyy! Dessert!!! THE TASTES: Heaven. Nirvana. Jack standing at the bow, arms stretched wide shouting, "I'm the king of the world!" That. That's what it's like. And I literally dissected and analyzed each lovely layer, mostly fluffy, decadent mousse, creamy, cheesy and rich. The crust bottoms. Holy smokes! I actually avoid graham cracker crusts but not this one. A-MAZING. Another slice had a crisp shortbread-like crust. Like, WHO DOES THAT?! Omg. I gorged until I regretted rushing in. Total amateur move. I also secretly selected 2 of the 3 slices that I knew my hubby would turn his nose up to. HAHAHAHAHA! Joke's on him. Trust me. Seriously, trust me. If you love cheesecake, mousse, fresh and tart fruit flavors (like fresh fruits and lemon curd!), give a slice or jar a try. And try a lovely match drink, too. Maybe I'll see you there!

I will say that I'm glad I looked at the menu before coming in because the menu that was displayed was extremely difficult to read. Not only was it far behind the counter, it was also extremely high up. The font was also really small. I thought there would be a menu on the counter by the cash register, but there wasn't, so again, I'm glad I looked at the menu beforehand. I think the girl that helped me was new, or was in training, so I'll give her some grace. She came up and asked me what I would like to order, and I looked a little confused so it would've been nice if she asked if I had any questions about the menu instead of just asking what I would like to order right off the bat. I was trying to decide between two drinks so I would've liked a recommendation. I did think it was a little odd they didn't have a pickup counter/area. Maybe because most people use the drive-thru?? I thought that was a nice touch. I didn't realize they had a drive-thru until I was ordering at the register. I chose a medium iced Blackout (hazelnut & mocha) and I think it's the perfect blend of nutty and espresso. I did notice it was a little warm at first sip, but after swirling it a little, all the flavors blended effortlessly and deliciously.
