Food was satisfying with nice presentation. Miss Mary was an excellent server! Friendly and efficient. Nice, casual atmosphere in an old bank building. Very cool. BYOB highly recommended as they only serve local beer and wine.

My husband said his burger was very good. It was a standard pub burger flavor. Bun was good quality and had that buttery overtone that complements the meat. Veggies were flavorful and fresh. Short rib had a lot of fat on it and the "sauce" was extremely watery. It was as good as a home cooked meal, but, though the entree was cheaper than this same dish closer to my home (Philly burbs), it was not on par with prices charged for the soupy sauce and 1/4 to 1/3 the meat mass being gristle. It was tasty and however watery, the flavors were there in the sauce, meat, Brussels sprouts, carrots, and potatoes. Portion was generous. Again, I just had an issue with the fat and watery sauce. The homemade potato chips were a bit overcooked. Considering I can get a huge bag of Utz or Herr's for $4, for the menu price of $16, I expected the truffle fry of potato chips. These were good but not $16 good. I am not a trendmonger for burnt-black pizza and I won't fall for it on my chips either; the brown chips were disappointing. The portion was somewhat large (my husband and young child shared them) but not enough to take home for later. Food was tasty and they have a lot going for them, there are just some things to tweak. My dish needs gristle removed and reduction or thickener for the sauce. Potato chips need a catchy gourmet twist to make the $16 worth it (truffle chips?), or charge less. If these things were improved I'd be a lot happier.

Stopping for a dinner on our way back from Kennett Square to D.C., Twelves Grill & Cafe was a great restaurant in the small town of West Grove. We walked in on a Saturday evening without a reservation and got a table right away. Service was impeccable and the menu large. We loved the mushroom soup with lobster and the Caesar salad. Our seven-year-old daughter loved the Mac and cheese.

This is how friends and family described Cava to me…read morewhen it first opened, and it's the reason why I'm such a late convert -- Chipotles are usually dirty and their food is in the news too often associated with making people sick. Cava is nothing like that. I got a chance to try the food for a work lunch event and enjoyed the food so much that I've introduced it to my husband and daughter as one of our more health quick dinner options. I've tried a variety of proteins and topping options in the BYO bowl and have been really pleased with the food quality and variety--I love all the traditional sauces (harissa, tzatziki), and the hubs loves the crazy feta. For dressing options, I highly recommend the lemon herb tahini and tahini Caesar. The online ordering is so simple and everything is completely customizable -- the hubs and kid can nix onions from their bowls and I can add all the onion options to mine. Everyone's happy! There are reserved to-go parking spaces right at the front entrance, so it's convenient to park there, run in to the pick up rack and grab my order. In and out in less than 5 min. If you eat-in, there plenty of room and seating inside and they even have a little outdoor area out back during the warm weather months. The staff work quick, so the order line generally moves well, but you occasionally have someone who is new to the concept asking a lot of questions about options, so that takes a little more time. For the most part the staff are patient in helping people who are struggling with the menu. The one miss? The desserts. We ordered the chocolate chip brownie once to share and were surprised by how small it was-- a little bigger than an AirPod case and an inch thick. Two bites, which for one person is enough, but not really a shareable. And for the price? For a pre-packaged brownie, essentially? Not worth it. Skip the sweet stuff and stick with the bowls.

What stands them apart is how they have their own heating equipment in the back so that if you order a salad with a protein, they are cooking it in the back. If you order a grain bowl, they can stir fry the veggies and meat together in the back to mix everything up. This, combined with their fresh ingredients, makes them a very high quality salad place. Would recommend for sure! p.s. If anyone from Salad House is reading this, please consider offering organic greens or at least one type of an organic green like Honeygrow with their Organic Spinach. Even charge a bit more for it if you want. Anyway, this is now the part of the review that nobody ever comes here for: - Water: There's no self-serve water machine - Restrooms: There are two single occupancy restrooms - Accessibility: The entire restaurant is wheelchair accessible, though with how the tables are placed, you may need to move a few chairs around potentially to roll in. - Seating: There's enough seating with a combination of high top and low tops. (p.s. The Window doesn't feel like it's been treated to block heat out so if you sit by those stools in the summer, you will fill the heat). - Will it fill you up? Yes. Much unlike Sweetgreens (sorry for firing those shots), the bowls are big enough and will fill you up. - Dietary Notes: A surprising number of their sauces are gluten free and they are very accommodating to telling you their allergens and offering substitutions, especially when ordering in store.
