I emailed about catering service for a party. I was told everything was all set but when I went to pick up food they had no order. I showed them the email exchange and was told it would be ready in ten minutes. They then overcharged me and I again had to show the email with the price breakdown. Twenty minutes later and late for the party the food still was not done I again inquired as to how much longer and the owner proceeded to yell at me for not understanding and threatened to cancel the order, never apologized for the inconvenienc. I had read the reviews on Yelp about Twiggs. We are here from Maine and thought we would try it. We entered the restaurant around 7:00 on a Friday. We got lucky and was seated right away. After us, the wait line grew. Our waiter Bob approached us immediately and took our drink order. Returned with our drinks, and took our dinner order. Not long after, we were delivered two absolutely delicious burgers. The food, service and ambiance were excellent. Thank you for a great meal and a perfect waiter! Eat here!!! read more

Bad service. We were told the wait was 20-minutes so sat at the bar. Three minutes later the hostess said she had a table for us and would have our drinks sent when they were ready (we were watching them being made). The drinks finally arrived 20-minutes after we were seated with a comment about "miscommunication". Then we waited another 20+ minutes for a waitress to arrive and ask us if we wanted anything. A burger and fish & chips then took close to an hour to arrive with no one checking on us in the meantime. When the food arrived there was no silverware. We had to track another waitress down to get some and then wait another 5-minutes for the kitchen staff to bring it out. The fries were so salty we couldn't eat them. I normally love this place, but unfortunately we had horrible service which led us to getting up and walking out. We went in with our infant, and we fed him a bottle and waited for the waitress to come over and take our drink and food order we waited 30 minutes nobody came over. Other tables around us had gotten sat and waited on. Finally, I got up to go ask the hostess if she could get us some drinks and she said she would send a waitress right over. We waited about three more minutes. We probably could've waited a little bit longer but at this point we were frustrated and I was hungry. Very good food and atmosphere! The spicy fried green beans are excellent! Prices were reasonable and there was even a band playing during dinner! Seems like a fine place to bring kids as some people brought their kids. One little boy was even dancing! The food is always good. I've eaten there quite a few times and I've never been disappointed. The ambiance is very nice especially outdoors. Inside can be quite noisy when it's busy. The Main St. location is awesome with Taylor Park views from outside seating and the local cruisers driving slowly by thanks to the nearby stoplight at the city's main intersection. The problem here can be service. If you get Camille you'll be very satisfied, she's always efficient and friendly. If you get the young and cute C. you'll wait forever for everything as she likes to chat up the boys. Still we keep going back. It's got a good vibe and you're bound find friendly conversation. Soooooooo very good! A table of six of us just couldn't understand how this place doesn't have stronger following and better reviews. Strange. The interior is fun, funky, w colorful art on the brick walls, cozy booths, low lighting, great live music. The artichoke tomato bisque was a revelation. It was just so delicious. We all wished we ordered bowls instead! Anyway my twigs house mac & cheese with frizzled onions and cheesy beer sauce and Cavattapi was decadence. Three people got the burger done their way, and they make it anyway you want with anything you want on it, and they were flipping out over them. Believe it or not the British style beer battered haddock was superior. Born & raised on the New England coast line and I can tell you this is one of the best pieces of fish I've ever had the pleasure of consuming. The poutine was not super hot when it came out and it really needed more cheese curds and gravy but that was our only complaint. The server happily took it back to the kitchen and remedied the problem. Nice beer selection on tap/cans/bottles. Live music was great. The place was packed, the servers were running, but everyone was helpful and knowledgeable and eager to please so the service was great. The place is nicely decorated and some unique and terrific items on the menu. :) Service was excellent both times. Pricing was affordable. Came across this place on vacation last weekend and what a gem. Outside seating and the waitresses were so nice. The owner is a great guy and really knows how to run a great place. The food here is exceptional. We started with fried pickles which were the best I ever had they were so crunchy and seasoned great. I had the fish and chips which came with coleslaw which was made different than I'm used to but man was it good..had mustard seeds in it and I could have eaten a gallon of it. The fries were so crunchy and so wasn't the fish. The fish was not doughy at all and huge portions. My fiancé had the salmon with rice and vegetables, it was so good and flavorful and cooked to perfection. We also got two hamburg patties for our two dogs and they loved them and gobbled them right up. I will definitely be coming back here . Worth the trip read more

Only 3 stars overall, though, due to combo of ambience (not much) and prices -- way too high for what's offered. My first experience here was in 2015 with my husband. We recently moved to Saint Albans and wanted to celebrate our new journey in life and chose this place. Every experience here was great! Except one unfortunately. (Losing a star cause of this) I ordered a full rack of ribs and my waiter stopped writing down the order, looked me dead in the eyes and said "are you sure, don't want you getting more fat". Now normally, I would say somthing but judging the look of this girl, she was young and honestly probably did not think before she spoke. I was also 9 months pregnant so hey, whatever. I enjoyed my food and went back several other times since then and had no problems. My favorite dishes are.... 1. The Murfster 2. Twiggs Mac & out 3. Went three weeks ago, it was not very busy for lunch during the weekend. ordered a soup and tacos - 35 minutes later they bring it out. Tacos are cold - completely. We ask for a new order, no real apology. over 20 minutes later tacos come out again and are equally as cold. The waitress avoided our table and we eventually had to get up and ask the hostess for the check and the tacos to be removed they were inedible. No apology again, tacos removed from bill. I gave them a shot again two weeks later with a friend for dinner. We were sat by the male manager/owner whatever he is - 15 minutes later no waitress to even ask us what we wanted for drinks. Was not busy again. A couple came in after us and was immediately served. We got up and walked out in front of the male manager and he didn't even acknowledge us walking out. First timers here and it was for Valentine's Day. They had the back room decorated kind of tacky.The tables had no tablecloths, flowers, or candles. And super cheesy dollar store decorations. Dinner took forever to get. The food was cold, but after they reheated it tasted good thankfully. The portion was big, so we didnt have room for desert. The waitstaff was nice but made a lot of mistakes. This place needs a lot of help on presentation! The Clothier which is a speakeasy that is attached would have been a better option. Really nicely decorated. But it was freezing or else we would have stayed to play pool. The only thing I would have added are candles. Get the new fake ones even.
