Ribeye steak that was overcooked on the outside and rare on the inside. Tasted moldy, rubbery, and freezer-burned.
    Joe K.

So I was here back on June 18, 2025. I was staying at the hotel next door and was looking for a good place for dinner after a long day at work. Unfortunately, I was disappointed with this restaurant. The hostess greeted me as soon as I entered and was friendly and immediately took me to my table. It wasn't too busy at this time and there were 4 other tables of patrons seated. I waited about 10 minutes for a waitress to finally greet me and she told me that she would be right with me. After taking my drink order and returning with my drink, she took my order. I decided to get the fried Brussels sprouts, 14 oz grilled ribeye steak, medium rare, with rice pilaf and zucchini. First thing I noticed when I got the Brussels sprouts was that it was just completely smothered and covered with the sauce that was made of maple syrup, bacon, caramelized onions, candied almonds with a honey gochujang drizzle. Unfortunately, my first bite was pretty bad. The sprouts were totally withered and tasted burnt and most likely spent too long in the frying oil. Multiple bites later, I was still not impressed. I felt like the sauce was way too heavy and not tasty at all. It was just too much of everything. I really wanted this to be awesome as I love Brussels sprouts. So, I probably had only 3 bites of this appetizer and then pushed it aside. Next was my ribeye steak. I was hoping that it would be better than the appetizer, but I figured that it couldn't be worse, right? Well, I was wrong. The rice pilaf was ice cold and had no taste to it at all. The same could be said for the zucchini. It was cold and had no taste to it at all. So now onto what should be the star of the show, the ribeye steak. I really can't say anything good about this. On the outside, the ribeye seemed to be overcooked. When I cut into the ribeye, it was actually rare and undercooked. I don't ever order my steaks rare, but in this situation, I didn't send the steak back. I don't ever send my food back as I used to be a waiter and I just don't even want to go there. I did cut a piece and courageously took a bite. It was definitely the worst steak that I have ever bit into. It had this weird moldy smell to it, the texture was rubbery, and it also tasted like there was bad freezer burn to it. It did not taste fresh. I spit that piece out and cut in to the other side of the steak to see if it was any better, and it most definitely was not better. I then just put my knife and fork down and decided I did not want any more and did not want to risk an upset stomach. When the waitress came back, she noticed that I pushed the plate away and asked if I did not like the steak? I told her all of the issues with it and she offered to take it back and get me another one. I told her that would be okay, just please bring me a check. I said that the cook should really sample the untouched part of the steak and they should be able to tell immediately that the steak was bad. She offered to remove the charge for the steak but I told her to please don't do that. Work was paying for my dinner and I don't like sending food back to the kitchen and I just wanted to pay my bill and leave. She came back and did discount the bill and after I continued to say just charge me full price, she said no. She couldn't in good conscience do that. I felt bad for the waitress as she really was apologetic. I just wanted to pay the bill ASAP and leave. I went back to my hotel next door and grabbed a couple of snacks from the front desk and those would have to satisfy my hunger pangs. Overall, this dining experience was really disappointing and I think that management should take this as a learning experience and fix what's broken. Both food items ordered were terrible. I don't like giving 1 star reviews, but honestly, this was less than 1 star. Please fix this so that no one else experiences what I did.

    Ribeye!

Date night with the hubby! Phenomenal dinner and service. The prime rib was melt in your mouth, cooked to perfection. Ribeye was just perfect. You will not be disappointed.

Service is a little slow. Kind Bartender, once you received service (5-7 minutes). Starving, seems a lot longer. This Bougie burger is average with all the fixings. Double smash burger. 18 bucks for this double stacker burger with fries (crispy fries). Had the fiddler and switchback ale. Should've just had the liquid dinner. I'm a Visitor Fr MI staying next door. The IPA steals the show here. Burger 3.5 stars. Pickle chunks adds a half star more if your into that. Special sauce...not that special. Would like to see options for avocado, fried egg or onion rings on this mediocre entree.

I came her for dinner with my family on a trip visiting from out of town, and we really enjoyed our experience! My mom and I had the shrimp cocktail which was very good, and my dad had a delicious and juicy burger, also very good. Prices were reasonable as well with decent portion sizes. The pours of wine I had were very generous, and our waitress, Ashley, was incredibly attentive and friendly. She was great about keeping us posted on the status of our food and made us feel very at home and comfortable. Would definitely return!

This was advertised on Facebook and my wife and I went there specifically today to take advantage of this offer. Once seated and requesting more information on the offer we were told it was last week and not available today. We got up and left and had brunch at another restaurant.

My seared scallops were pretty good and the risotto delicious. Garlic bread was meh.

The service was good, our waiter, Kora, was very kind and attentive, but the food was subpar. The shrimp was overcooked. The cheddar fritters were pretty good! Pasta wasn't very flavorful and was very oily. Wait time was very long, we got there at 6:15 and left at 8:10. Overall could use some work!

The same large, beautiful windows are there, but the decor is warm, trendy, and modern. Our hostess immediately wished my husband and me happy anniversary and the bartender team Max and Woody were truly outstanding and made our celebration special. They are adept at making cocktails. We tried Blue Bingo and Inside Out. Both were perfectly balanced. The Blue Bingo with fresh blueberry puree, garnished with blueberry and mint was refreshing. The Inside Out was similar to an Old Fashioned. We selected 4 small plates, one large plate, and one side. For small plates, the striped bass collar was meaty and flavored with an herb sauce and punchy blistered cherry tomatoes. The little neck clams came in a broth that was worth sopping up with the grilled sourdough. It was similar to having mussels in a luscious wine butter sauce. I would have eaten like 12 of the clams if they let me but they alas only give you 6. My favorite was grilled Romano beans, slightly crunchy, fresh, and light, with burrata and fried green tomatoes. The breading on the tomatoes was perfectly light and crunchy. The burrata was delicious, and I would have preferred to have it over the barchetta, fresh ravioli like pastas that came with fennel and arugula. The barchetta was missing that creamy element. The served our pork schnitzel as a "splitzel" served cut in half on two plates. Again, it was perfectly crunchy and light. We ordered pomme puree (mashed potatoes) as a side too, creamy and delicious. They had a decent wine and beer selection. We lucked out with our chenin blanc selection, which paired well with everything we had. Eat here! The menu changes every day. We can't wait to come back.

I ordered the Something Fun cocktail, which was fruity, refreshing, and beautifully presented with blue salt speckled around the rim of the glass. Each menu is date-stamped, which I'm obsessed with--it's a great reminder of how fresh everything is. Vermont generally has a great local food scene, and I really appreciate the thoughtfulness behind the ingredients, presentation, and overall quality. Frankie's is a restaurant I'd highly recommend for groups, family dinners, date nights, or even corporate dinners. I'd love to come back and explore more of their wine selection. The staff is incredibly welcoming, happy to chat, and very knowledgeable about the menu. Expect to spend around $75 per person for a meal, a side or appetizer, and one drink.

Located in the Courtyard (Marriott) Hotel, only a stone's throw from Lake Champlain and close to the center of Burlington, VT, the restaurant sits just off the lobby. I made a dinner reservation and we was seated by the window with a view of the park with the lake beyond. Off to a good start. My Dirty Martini was spot-on. The perfect balance of Tito's and brine. Only missing the 'bleu' cheese olives. I often order a second appetizer as my entree. My starter was carpaccio that was outstanding. The microgreens were a nice touch. The mussels (appetizer) that I chose for my main course were small in size but ample in portion and were the perfect choice for me. My husband chose the cheese platter for his starter. It was disappointing. Two slices of bleu cheese. Should have been three different ones for $15. And no VT cheddar? Not much imagination here. His Steak Frites was OK; the quality of the beef could have been better. We shared the spinach watermelon salad which was fresh and delicious. Service was friendly and attentive. Everybody I interacted with - greeter, waiter, food runners, etc. - were friendly, neat, and professional, which along with the great food made a memorable dining experience. I had no trouble making a 6:00 Saturday reservation earlier that day but it did fill up while I was there so it was probably needed. Though there were some seats that remained open at the bar, so walk-ins might be accommodated there. It was a nice bar, with a very pretty stained glass table lamp on the counter and a very cool-looking bartender adding flair to the otherwise conservatively-attired staff. The menu is extensive and very Turkish. Even the wine list: every wine that I checked was Turkish. I know nothing about Turkish wine but the one I did try (many available by the glass) was enjoyable. I tried a cocktail too; a Turkish Cosmo, made with a Turkish pomegranate syrup. This was good too, tangy and not too sweet. For beers they offer ones from Turkey, Vermont, Mexico, and Connecticut. I was happy not to see any major American brands offered. I don't usually comment on prices, but they seemed slightly on the low side here, for everything: drinks, appetizers, entrees, and desserts. I am not complaining! I started with the Cold Meze Platter appetizer, recommended for 2. (Too much for 1 so I took some home.) Hummus, Baba Ganoush, Turkish Salsa, Hadari, and Stuffed Grape Leaves. Everything was very good, and the fresh-baked still-warm hadari bread it was served with was perfect with it. The Baba Ganoush was exceptional, chunky in texture and smoky in flavor. From the very extensive entree section I chose the Surf and Turf: skewers of swordfish and lamb, the latter cooked to order (it came out a perfect medium-rare as requested). The skewers, which also had green pepper and onions, was served with rice, bulghur, grilled tomato, a lemon wedge, and a salad of cabbage and pickled onions. Both the swordfish and lamb were marinated and had lots of flavor. The sides were good too. The portion size was generous and I didn't quite finish it, taking the rest of it home along with some of the appetizer. After finishing my entree and my wine, and taking in the ambience of this relaxing, blue-walled space, it was time for dessert. Among the 8 choices (a refreshingly large number) were 3 kinds of baklava. I went with the Fistikli Çikolata (chocolate, pistachio, and hazelnut) If, like me your experience with baklava has mostly been the junk found on the counter of numerous pizza houses (stale, dry, and overly sweet) this is nothing like that and will change your opinion. The three pieces made a fairly large portion but it was so good there was no question of leaving any behind. This was also offered with Turkish ice cream but I didn't get it that way. Many more things to try here. I hope to return soon.

I would eat here everyday if I could! It's spacious inside with many tables and a relaxed vibe.
