I want to like this place. I've been a handful of times when visiting my parents. Unfortunately, the food is just meh. It's fairly average - nothing exciting. Make no mistake about it, I am a fan! However, at the beginning of January I placed an order for pickup, all salads, and I can't lie it was disappointing. My friend and I both order the goat cheese/veggie salad. She had it with chicken and I had it with "sushi grade" tuna. Mine as definitely not sushi grade, very little goat cheese and mushy vegetables. I think they should be crunchy! My friend's chicken was okay but the same for the cheese and the veggies. My other friend had the 310 salad and thought it was just okay and this is a salad she orders a lot! Also ordered the calamari which was not crispy but very soggy! So, I will definitely stick with Twigs since it is one of the best in the area but this was a definite miss for me. Having spend almost $90 means you should get quality food! Love the drive from Clarks Summit. Atmosphere very warm and comfortable. Portions could be upped a bit. Food nicely presented.

We have eaten at Twigs many times and have had enjoyable meals. The ambiance is pleasantly appealing and the service is exceptional. I will admit that when this establishment changed to a preformed beef patty from the previously hand formed we have not gone there as often, there have been a few changes to some of the food items that have disappointed us quite a bit. It is still one of the best eateries in Tunkhannock, I simply hope that some of the previous menu items will be making a come back and no more menu changes are as abrupt. read more

We've enjoyed many good meals here in the past 2 years or so. Food has always been quite good, though tonite it wasn't quite on par with our experience and the service definitely isn't as consistent as we'd hope. Waiting way too long to clear dishes and table detritus. Two of us had the peach and chicken salad which in the past has been delectable but tonight was very - well - it was nothing special. Peaches were no where near ripe so virtually tasteless and the chicken didnt have much flavor at all. On the other hand the bistro steak my wife had and the Reuben and the French onion soup were all excellent. We'll be back cause we know they're capable of making a real nice dining experience. But they need to keep the staff on their toes. read more

Very nice dinner and good service. My wife and I split a calamari appetizer and we both ate their pork-mignon special with a black bean salsa topping. Nice atmosphere and a "hidden" bar in the back make this a must try. read more

Twigs used to be our "go to" place in Tunkhannock. Unfortunately our last experience there is worth writing a negative review about. Besides an inattentive waitress;we had to go to the register ourselves to pay our bill and were never asked for drink refills, the menu has taken a turn for the worse. We ordered The Twigs hamburgers. The burgers no longer come with fries but chips. Who wants potato chips with hamburgers? The gold standard is fries. In order to get fries you have to pay $1.75! No more pickle either. Hamburger was less than stellar. Looked like a frozen formed patty. YUCK. read more

I have gone on a few fancy dates here. The food is pretty good. Prices are reasonable. Here is the bad experience that makes me give the place one star & why I will never go back: My date and I went to get a bit before seeing a movie downtown. We were seated next to a wall covered in marker drawings & had a long wait for our waiter, then a long wait for our food. As I looked at the wall I thought, how cool & fun that they allowed visitors to draw on that wall - so I added a tiny picture of a cat. Immediately a different waitress swooped down on me saying that the wall was only for people who have paid to draw on it - a fact I had missed because there is absolutely no indication whatsoever of this on the wall, menu, or anywhere else. I was then told that the minimum donation for drawing on the wall was TWENTY dollars CASH, and given a form to fill out so I could make "the appropriate donation." I was of course mortified... and sat in shock looking at the paper and at my date who was obviously very embarrassed for me. We did not bring enough cash to make this kind of mistake and still go to the movies! We sat in silence for about twenty awkward minutes. I took my food to go because my appetite was totally gone. I was almost crying & panicked by the time my original waitress came back and thought to mention it was okay for us to make a smaller donation. I didn't want to take it out of her cash tip so it ended up only being a few dollars... I am too mortified to return to Twigs. I would give anything to be able to wipe that stupid cat off the wall and pretend this had never happened. At least the date worked out - we're engaged now. read more

Tucked away on the main street in Tunkhannock, Twigs is an amazing little restaurant. We had dinner there one night, and it was so good we went back for lunch the next day. The artsy decor is delightful, beautiful artwork and light fixtures, great staff, and the food is top notch. The burger was exceptional, the sashimi grade salmon and pasta and the monkfish special of the night were superb. We wish we lived closer to visit there often, but anytime we travel in the area, we will be sure to dine there! read more

Had a dinner with friends and as usual, it was delicious food done well, Excellent server, Alexis, who was attentive but not too much. I have been here numerous times and the food has been terrific with very good service! Great job, Twigs! And the decor is very well done, interesting and eye catching! The atmosphere is a bit dark however the decor makes the room interesting. We have been to Twigs many times and the service is not normally to bad. It seems to depend on the server you get (like many restaurants). Waiting for your food sometimes seems to take an eternity though. There's a fifty-fifty chance your meal comes out very fresh looking or it comes out like it was under the heat lamp for an extended period. It is definitely an OK restaurant if you are in town and need a bite. read more

My sweetheart & I were on a roadtrip adventure. Just passing through town & stopped here for lunch. Loved the Decor. The colors, repurposed old Windows & ambiance. We are both gluten free vegetarians, not sure what we would find on the menu... & Jerry, the owner, came over & talked to us about making a special vegetarian Gluten-free french onion soup, that was out of this world delicious. We eat here a lot! The JB Hot wings...YUM! I believe between all of us we have tried everything here and love it!! My favorite is the fish tacos...only 1 reason...I eat everything on my plate so it's the smaller (healthier option)! Stuffed salmon...OMG so freaking good!! My oldest daughter loves the Maine's Scampi, my youngest loves the Hot House Bacon Burger, and my man always get Broiled Haddock with dill butter. We all love the crab bisque and French onion soup....and do NOT forget to have a glass of wine! I can't wait to go tonight to try an option from the new menu list....My favorite was the Bully Hill Banty Red. Do not get coffee here. They do not know the difference between a latte and a coffee. However, the staff was very nice.

Used to be great but has gone down hill lately. Chips were soggy I received the wrong beer blue moon instead of local nimble hill I ordered. My wife's food was cold don't even want to bother to write anymore spoke with a local who said it is hit and miss anymore which means go somewhere else why risk it. read more

We made a reservation for dinner and we were excited to try out Twigs because our hotel recommended it. We walked in and weren't greeted in the friendliest way but we were soon being shown to our table for two by the window....oh wait, not so fast, we were redirected because a couple that came in before us didn't like their table so they gave them ours. We were then lead to a table behind a small partition and realized that this was the table where the other couple didn't want to sit. We were away from the ambiance and right by the kitchen. I was annoyed but I decided to still give it a go. I looked at the menu and the only vegetarian option they had was a salad and although they looked good, I was in the mood for something more. I mentioned it to the server because sometimes they can throw something together for me but she also just directed me to the salads. I was hungry for something more so we left. Whenever I'm in town I make a point of driving out to Tunkhannock to go to Twigs. The restaurant has cool decor and a really great / diverse menu. It's a little pricey, but the portions are good sized and I've never had bad food here. read more

food is only mediocre. beef cuts don't seem to be prime, fish is all farm raised no selection of soup, over priced beer (17.75 for 2 beers is a bit of a gouge especially when the folks brewing the beer is in your back yard). all in all when going out agin it wont be here. read more
