We stopped by after a long day at the Catskills and ordered the strawberry, blackberry, and blueberry icecream. The three scoops were HUGE and it came with a waffle cone for $7.50, which is such a steal. The blueberry was my favorite. Nestled in vanilla icecream with blueberry chunks and blueberry jam- I thought this one was well balanced. The strawberry All the icecream tasted a little icy and less creamy than I'd hope but for $7.50 and after a hike, it really hit the spot.

From the outside, this is a cool, old-fashioned and thriving convenience store tucked in the boondocks. I can't tell you how charming Twilight is or how far it dates back because all hubs and I did was get Sorbet, sit on their picnic benches and enjoy it under the summer sun. This is all about enjoying your bite outdoors. Corner lot is a nice focal point right on N. Lake Rd. Plus their colorful and wooden ice cream sign, is another attention-grabber. Twilight was a nice stop after hubs and I'd finished rowing over at the North-South Lake Campground. For a "general store", Sorbet was a more than I wanted to spend and ran at $10 and change for a large and small...but that sucker was real good. And in true "general store" fashion, service was pleasant.

ice cream was fine but i would prefer stewart which are more plentiful in location and much more affordable yet offering a creamy texture VS twilight which is more on the lighter side in flavor. Maybe it has less calories.

The atmosphere was welcoming and there Is a beautiful energy about the place and those who are part of the team. The food was excellent. Each item was not simply a burger or taco, etc, but a mouth watering creation. We couldn't help but insist all 9 of us try one another's food. The additional three kiddos also couldn't get enough! I honestly would be tempted to find an excuse to make the two hour drive from home to enjoy the experience again!

We discovered this place thanks to a lovely bookseller at Briars & Brambles. This was the perfect comfort meal for my birthday. Clean self seated tables and order at the counter. The service was fantastic. The owner/chef came by to check in with us. Everything came out super fast. Reasonably priced, especially compared to the area. Very casual relaxed vibe. The star was the sugar shack mac and cheese (recommended to us). It was maple syrup, brown sugar crumble and bacon with mac and cheese. Definitely unique and well balanced. It's quite sweet and savory but super unique. The chicken tenders were some of the most flavorful fresh ones I've ever had. Like you think chicken tenders are basic but this was incredible. Also thanks to the staff for letting us do a side of hush puppies (it was only part of the Friday fish special). The shrimp basket and fries was a large portion and delicious. Love that you can get unlimited sauces for the food at $.31 cents a sauce. Alcohol is served and reasonably priced. Loved the non alcoholic fresh drinks. Husband had an Arnold Palmer (N/A) that was made fresh. We'll be talking about this meal for a long time.

Talbott & Arding was chosen as our first stop on our girls' getaway journey. Tucked in the Hudson Valley, just an hour from the Berkshires, it was a sweetly energetic beginning to our day. We each chose a sandwich from the counter. My smoked salmon on focaccia was a delight. The bread, airy and light, beautifully happy yeast just bounding with lift, defying the constraints of olive oil which left my fingers gloriously glistening. I haven't had a focaccia as happy as that in a minute. Super thin radish, bright pickled shallot and fresh watercress all gave a nice vibrant touch. Ben's cream cheese couldn't possibly be creamier. And the delicate, silky, fresh, luxurious salmon... What a dream. So balanced. I filled my arms with goods- iberico salami, Aleppo chili oil, Blackstrap coffee beans, local chocolates, and an adorable Talbott & Arding puzzle. I'm sure I could have easily convinced myself to buy just about everything I laid my eyes upon. The cheese counter was an absolute work of art. It's clear that Talbott & Arding is a willing servant to the gifts of the surrounding earth and people. The homage it pays is palpable. Our stop at Talbott & Arding set the tone for an intentional, peaceful, vibrant, cozy, delicious, connected trip. I'll be back immediately.

It's a cute place and I love the wallpaper. I ordered food and the lady that took my order was having trouble focusing/ listening and added things to my bill. When I corrected her; she seemed to be paying attention, I thought she removed the item but she didn't. I order a drink (coffee) also and then changed my mind. When I told her I didn't want it she said she couldn't resell the paper cup to someone else. I know.... I know.. you must be thinking (WHAT it's just coffee!) I explained I didn't see the other sign with special drinks. So even though I wanted another drink that was more money, she kept it on my bill and gave it to me. That was when I decided not to go back ever again. Poor service, then I had added that specialty drink along with the coffee I got stuck with. Only to not ever receive it. I had to bother another girl to get my drink. She did tell me to wait she had to get this family's order first. That was rude. I waitressed before, so I can say that. Meanwhile I had finished my food (which was good) and coffee that I didn't want. I was there at least 30 mins and 15mins before the other family. They weren't busy. There was no excuse for poor service.

First off you can order both outside at the single serve window or inside if people just read the signs instead of complaining. We ordered inside as I had a few menu questions never being there before. We ordered a Mamas Boy Burger, Jersey boy burger, grilled cheese, and tots. We also order two mills shakes the German chocolate cake and black cherry. I made the mistake of ordering two Patti's on my Mamas Boy and oh man it was huge! A single patty is more than filling as the burger patty is easily twice the size of the bun! The jersey boy burger was just as huge and delicious to the point my boyfriend said oh you won't like it simply because he didn't want to give me a single bite lol. The tots were so crisp and well seasoned a must try if you still have room after eating a giant burger! Yes the burgers are a little greasy but that is normal and still edible. We also ordered a grilled cheese which was the only disappoint of the meal for $7 as it was not melted at all on the Inside only crisp bread on the outside. I would've had said something to the staff however my boyfriend just wanted to go home and said he would remelt it there. When ordering our milkshakes the staff were extremely helpful and patient. Highly recommend the German chocolate cake as it was amazing. The black cherry with their hard ice cream was delicious as well. Our whole meal was a little over $40 for a late lunch and well worth the price.

Service was really friendly and our food came out very quickly. I had the impossible burger with onion rings and fries on the side. The impossible burger was good, and I customized it by adding an egg. The onion rings were really good, but the fries I found to be a little lackluster. I recommend getting cheese fries or a dipping sauce if you are ordering fries. Days after my visit and I am still regretting not getting a shake or frozen custard! I also love that they are dog friendly in the outside seating area.
