One of my favorite KBBQ spots in the Chicagoland area! There's always plenty of parking since they're located in a strip mall One of the standouts of this spot is the buffet where you can grab all your side dishes to accompany the meats. The options are always fresh and plentiful. The meat selection for the standard menu is not the most diverse in terms of cuts of meat compared to other spots BUT they make up for the lack of variety in meat selections with their sides. My favorite is the cheese corn!! The aunties and everyone working there are always so attentive with when a grill change is needed and they will help you cook the meats if they see you struggling lol. Going to kbbq you will usually leave with the grill smell lingering on your clothes- fortunately, this spot has really strong vents above each table so you don't leave smelly. DON'T GO THIS PLACE!!! Our family visited this place for dinner and ordered the all-you-can-eat option, but it was a terrible experience. The meat had a spoiled smell, and the soybean paste stew tasted like plain salted water. When we told the server that the meat seemed spoiled, they got extremely rude and acted like we were the problem. On top of that, they automatically added a 25% tip and then demanded additional cash for the tip at the register. Completely unacceptable. We went here Saturday night as a guest of my sister & her fiancee w/my wife & brother in law. This place was probably a China Buffet as the layout of the restaurant inside is identical. We were all craving Korean Barbecue. In this respect this is what they provide couple w/a self serve Banchan in the room next door. It wasn't cheap. They had 2 options both were AYCE, one was $29.95/person & the other was also AYCE @ $38.95/person. She ordered the more expensive of the 2 options. The tables all come equipped with hot plates where you cook your own meat. There are vertical tubes that pull down directly over the cooking plate to remove any fumes from the area. We ordered a number of different meats that were brought to our table to be cooked by us w/metal tongs & scissors to cut the meat We ordered 2 each of the following dishes * Pork Belly (pure fat not much meat) * marinated chicken thigh * Beef Bulgogi (this was my favorite item) * Beef Short Ribs (not too bad) * Shrimp (mehhh). Don't bring shrimp to a meat fest lol) They had a little 3 tray dish & each spot for dipping the meat. I really liked the sesame & salt BBQ Garden a prime example of a Buffet, by that I mean QUANTITY VS QUALITY. At $38.95/person you kind of expect a higher quality, but unfortunately it was more about quantity over quality. FYI - They put an automatic 18% on the bill for gratuity. Would I go back again? This is my new favorite Korean BBQ restaurant. We went for an early dinner on a Sunday afternoon. It was not very crowded and our servers were very attentive. We ordered the deluxe menu, which I thought was a good deal at $ 38 pp. Their Kalbi was so juicy and tender. The bulgogi and brisket were also a bit at our table. I likes that the sides were accessible at a buffet station and you could just grab what you wanted for yourself. Today I went with family and friends to celebrate my birthday. It was a wonderful place to have AYCE KBBQ. We did their regular/basic AYCE which is $30 per head. The basic menu had lots of dishes including bulgogi, gizzards, cheesy corn, brisket, pork belly and loads other proteins! The service was good as usual with a call button on the table. I really like how they have side dishes and carbs out for us to grab ourselves since I like to grab my own banchan. They do have ice cream and fruit as well which is delicious after a big meat meal! YUM YUM YUM When I crave Korean AYCE (all you can eat) BBQ, this is the place I go. There are two menu types (standard and deluxe) and a variety of choices to choose from. I always choose the deluxe option because I cannot go out without getting the marinated beef short ribs (LA kalbi). I've brought many friends here over the years and they all agree LA kalbi is the way to go :) I love that all the side dishes are self serve because I hate how most korean places give you all the side dishes and most of them goes uneaten. This way, there is little food waste and you can get what you want. There are a variety of options in the self-serve area from the traditional side dishes to salad to a variety of fruit. You also never have to keep asking for rice because it is part of the self serve area! I've never had a problem with the service and the grills are always changed quickly. The restaurant is spacious, there is an area for big parties and I love that the smoke quickly gets sucked in through an adjustable pipe so that you don't smell that much when you leave the restaurant. This restaurant also always seems to be open. I've been here on Christmas and on July 4th making it a great option on days when most restaurants are closed. Can't wait to go back again! read more

We ordered the deluxe menu. It was OK. The quality of meat was really poor. It looks like an incredible selection but the grade of meat was terrible. They have a huge selection of ban Chan . It's been awhile since I've been back. We wanted LA Galbi and naeng myun (cold noodles) so decided to give it a try. I've been here before pandemic where there was a buffet full of banchan and more. In the middle pandemic, there was no food at the buffet self serve area due to obvious reasons. Now in 2023, when there was some banchan and fruits at the self serve area. Today was first time getting deluxe menu $36 per person to get LA Galbi. We ordered chadol, sam gyupsal, LA Galbi, marinated pork steak, and squid. Personally I enjoyed chadol the most because the marinated meat was too sweet. It felt like it was too sweet. Squid is raw so it takes some time to cook. Service was great and meat refill was quite fast. We also enjoyed corn cheese and steamed egg. Employees changed our grill frequently. At first, walking in, the place was quite empty so wasn't sure if business would last. As I was finishing up my meal, place was quite filling up. Having self serve buffet area is what makes BBQ Garden unique. read more

They low-ball you with their $29.95 AYCE regular menu but hit with a mandatory gratuity of 18%. They are legally required to inform you so they subtly do so by printing it on the bottom of the menu like fine print. Their quality is middle of the road, to put it politely. I like their banchan buffet style concept but some of the items are stale. I almost was going to recommend not returning but to the waitress's credit, she did verbally remind me that the gratuity was already added...covering her ax so to speak. Stopped here to check out their KBBQ after a long drive. When you walk in it reminds me of some typical Chinese buffet layout. They have a cold buffet table with bonchon dish area and then a small area for white rice, soup and Korean rice noodle.They offer 2 different menus and we opted for the standard. I'm a big fan of kbbq and I was absolutely delighted with the experience I had at BBQ Garden. Would 100% recommend visiting here if that's something you're in the mood for. It's an AYCE (all you can eat) experience and I think relatively fair pricing. The sides are set up buffet style, so you need to walk up and grab those yourself, but you order the meat at the table and they'll serve it to you. I thought everything I ate was scrumptious. They also had a bunch of side dishes that I'd only ever seen on tv, so it was fun getting to try new foods at no additional cost. The staff was really friendly and attentive and helped us cut the meat and cook it here and there. We didn't mind, but I do know some people prefer to do it on their own, so be sure to act confident so that they don't come help you The only complaint I have is that I think the place could've been slightly cleaner. It wasn't scary, but it could be better. Regardless, I would return and I would suggest you eat here! read more

The food selection variety and quality are decent. However, the service and atmosphere is a bit dated. They are able to accommodate big groups, which is a plus, since not many kbbq places are able to do this. AYCE Korean BBQ Deluxe (including Kalbi) is about $40 per person. There is a buffet bar for banchan side dishes and soup. The ban chan is pretty good and they give you a nice variety of items. The servers tend to tell you what to order and will try to convince you otherwise when you try to order what you want- the brisket. Also even while you're eating, if you happen to have a pause in eating and getting close to the 2 hr mark, they will aggressively pull up your exhaust fans without a word. Let me start with the beef bulgogi, because it is a must-try! It was tender, flavorful and lean. We also tried the garlic chicken, soy pork and pork belly. I recommend cooking the pork belly first then the chicken so it gets some of that salty flavor. The three sauces they serve are all good, but the buttery one with the garlic chicken is over-the-top. The dark, sweeter one is really good with the pork. The buffet is good. But I need a better dessert option. Fruit purée, chocolate sauce, or something crunchy to go with the ice cream would seal the deal at this place. read more

I've been here at least 4-5 times, I would pick this over Woori Village based on the selection and service. They have a buffet station with side dishes, soups, and ice cream. When I first came here back when they were relatively new, they had more selection for the buffet station. Over the years, the selection decreased. It's decent. Yes, you can grab extra plates at that station. I always go with the more expensive ayce option that is close to $40 per person. I usually go with brisket, beef bulgogi, marinated beef steak, marinated beef short ribs, shrimp, steamed egg, corn with cheese, and soft tofu stew. The pork bellies can be hit or miss, depending on how much fat they have on them. I also ordered white rice and lettuce, it helps with digestion. I would grab a piece of lettuce (they come in big pieces), add some rice, then some meat, and eat it. The service is usually from average to above par. I never had any rude servers or just plain abysmal service. read more

Just got back from BBQ Garden even better than before as they have a lot more banchan options in the buffet than last time I went. I thought the service was pretty decent. They wanted us to only use one grill since we had younger children in our group and after we ordered a ton of meats they told us to just wait till next order after the first are done. I really don't see a need to go to any other K-BBQ in Chicago land, since the meats I think are usually the same so it just comes down to how impressed I am with the banchan and the ability to eat my favorites. I've been to 100 Korean restaurants across the world. BBQ Garden is an absolute diamond in the rough--a true strip mall treasure. Everything about this Korean BBQ restaurant is worthy of five stars. BBQ Garden is a family owned place, and almost all of the servers and hosts are related--and they appear to really enjoy working together. Though their first language is Korean, the servers are always friendly and willing to engage in conversation. BBQ Garden is one of the rare Korean joints that will provide an excellent assortment of tasty banchan in abundance. They'll come back to ask if you'd like more. You can grill at the table or order any Korean classics from the menu. Their meat is good quality, and the marinades are not overly sweet (true of all their dishes), which is rare. Soondubu comes with rich broth and giant blocks of soft tofu. MoolNaengMyun is also delicious and refreshing. I haven't tried it yet, but their buffet is stacked with great-looking options. The dining area is spacious, so come with one or two friends or bring a group of 10-12. BBQ Garden will always have room for you. I hope you enjoy this dining experience as much as I have. read more

I would love to give this 5 stars, but the server we had was just RUDE! She was a small older lady with gray hair, glasses and her attitude was bad. We tried to order additional meats to cook and she said she would not bring us the meat we requested unless we finished what we had on the table. The ONLY thing left on the table was a small amount of thinly sliced frozen beef brisket, which we did finish. We had to ask another server for the additional meat that we wanted which she did bring out. This is an AYCE restaurant and for the server to "hold back" assuming we could not finish what we ordered, is wrong. I understand there are some people that will order more than what they can eat, but to tell us "no, you have to finish what is on your table and then I will bring more", is rude. If you do go to this restaurant, which I would not recommend, I hope you do not get this rude server. read more
