Stumbled upon this place when we were in the same plaza eating ice cream at Handel's. My husband and son's usual barber is out of the country for three months, and they were about due for a haircut so we decided to give this place a try. Not only were the prices extremely affordable, but they did such a great job on both my son and husband! Even though we were walk-ins with no appointment, they were able to accommodate us immediately, and we were in and out of there in 15 minutes. Love a skilled and efficient place. I think we've found our new interim haircut place!

I went in today to get a haircut thinking I was gonna look good for a party I had today but I ended up, leaving with a messed up hairline and the guy still had the audacity to ask me for a tip

Standard haircut ($14) - Great service & value!

Nowadays, I see many reviews and it's all about the "sick fade," or step up, a football logo, corn maze or something that looks like a crop circle from a UFO landing... (sigh) I'm just not that fancy. Also, no skinny jeans, shaped eye brows or manicured nails. LOL - As if my big @ss could ever fit in a skinny jean. At any rate, for the $$; solid spot for a no-nonsense haircut. Store front - https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=VIS3Ah94katPlWN9yhVheQ&userid=O6EBodP3Fgu_n67efSKnBQ Some write ups complained about it being the worst $14 haircut. HA! - What did you pay for it again?... 'And was that with or without a coupon? As the ol' saying goes, "You get what you pay for." The converse is also true, "You're only going to get what you can pay for." This is not Toni & Guy, Vogue, T5 Hair or Vanilla Salon. Twin Peaks is a small, neighborhood barber shop in your standard strip mall. Your average haircut takes less than 25 minutes from start to finish. You're in & out of the seat, then the next customer jumps in the chair. Get in, get out. Now, if you've ever been to one of these bargain barbers before, you know that it does not come without risk. So, do your research & pay attention when you walk in while waiting your turn. (i.e. - yelp* reviews; specific favorite barbers) Prices (Cash only) - https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=Egxgvk2yLRc51H_F5yhdvQ&userid=O6EBodP3Fgu_n67efSKnBQ Overall, Twin Peaks Barber has a solid rating despite the whines from high rollers dropping their Benjamins here and being surprisingly dissapointed. I did a quick read over the reviews prior to driving over to the shop. I walked in just after 8:30am; there were already four people seated in the first, second, fifth and seventh chair. I was greeted by Crystal, the barber @ first chair; I waved and took a seat. Five minutes behind me entered another customer. Again, Crystal greeted him as well. I prefer a scissor cut; it's more natural looking when the hair lays down. I'm glad I arrived a bit later; gave me time to watch and take notes. The other two barbers used clippers throughout most of the haircut for their male customers. However, Crystal had a female customer and was using barber shears which was a beacon of hope to me. I think I just found who I'd like to cut my hair. From Crystal & her client's conversation, the lady was a regular; another good sign. (i.e. - Returning customer) Fifteen minutes passed; the second chair barber was done with his customer and motioned me over. I thanked him but expressed that I was going to pass & wait for Crystal. I told the older customer that walked in after me that he was more than welcome to go ahead of me. Photo - https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=_2TtxL1lvuaINZbG5anEvQ&userid=O6EBodP3Fgu_n67efSKnBQ Ten minutes later, my turn. I took a seat and Crystal asked what I'd like. - "I just need it cleaned up; prefer scissor over clippers. I'm not a fan of the all clipper cut, no fade needed, just a simple straight forward haircut." She explained that she would used the clippers to clean up my sides & back but the rest will be all scissors. (Thumbs up) I also added that I'd like a bit of length so that it can still be styled; not too short. Again, I'm not a very picky guy. If the haircut sucks, I can always wear a hat; give it a month and we'll try it all over again. Unless you make your $$$ as an actor/actress, model or something that involves your debonair looks and locks; get over it... 'And if you're only willing to pay $14 for a haircut with hopes of looking like you're ready for the catwalk; think again Rockefeller. Photo - https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=5rRpIxAOhUnvjekaeCuhXg&userid=O6EBodP3Fgu_n67efSKnBQ Crystal was great; from an efficient, quick haircut to the the small talk. It seemed effortless as if I've been coming here for years. We chatted about Filipino & Vietnamese cuisine, other different foods and the new market that's currently under construction just down the road, Island Pacific Seafood Market - Filipino store & seafood. (Located on Rockfield, across the street from Home Depot; next door to Harbor Freight.) Fast foward, 20 minutes - All pau! ("All done!" - Hawaiian) Was it the best haircut I've had? No... 'But I didn't pay $50 for it either. Was it a good $14 haircut? Absolutely. I'm constantly looking to try new places; from restaurants, dry cleaners, even barber shops and salons. Yelp* has been extremely helpful in helping me narrow down my choices. Although, results do vary from time to time. Get in, get out and "Pick six," while you're at it! (Lotto tickets sold here.) Mahalo Crystal! Photo - https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=Epz5_BzY77RjGWHxk54JsA&userid=O6EBodP3Fgu_n67efSKnBQ - Big Aloha! Service requested today was Regular Men's Haircut for $16 the barber decides to cut it her way because she says new style I do not like it as I couldn't see it until I put on my glasses then charges me for flat top type haircut which I did not request at all costing me $19. Barber please follow next time what your customer want I just wanted 0 sides and back, trim to combover on top what you did is create an unhappy Easter customer haircut bad customer service. 3-28-2024

I would not send my worst enemy here. You get what you pay for. This cut was heartbreaking and soul crushing! Don't go to crystal what ever you do. She probably doesn't even have a license to cut hair. I saw a picture of someone who also went to her. I shed a tear.. if you get crystal just leave.. better yet don't go here at all!

I asked for a .5 all the way up and I style it as a faux hawk so trim it in accordance. This is the result. Wtf?!?!! Might have been the worst haircut of my life. Terrible technique. She gelled my hair up right away. After the fade on the side, she combed my hair up in a Mohawk and just used her scissors to cut the top like a xmas tree and that was it. I got home, washed my hair and this is the turnout. Wow, talk about terrible craftsmanship. Zero skills. Anyone can do this at home. It's not even presents in public. Words can't describe.

    Terrible hair cuts

Do I even have to say anything?! Look at the picture and let me tell you this isn't the first time, I've gone here since I was a kid and the barbers have never been this bad till now, on top of that they raised their prices. Simple request, short on the sides, trim on top. And they mess it up everytime. I even wasn't satisfied with one hair cut and told the barber

Best place in town for a inexpensive haircut . Brandon is my go-to barber and it's only $10 Update of 11-28-19 Brandon has left employment there. Ti' is my new go to barber. She is meticulous and spends double the time on your cut than other barbers. Shy and soft spoken but gets the job done.

Gone here for years. The best haircut in OC. Never had to wait more than 90 seconds and get a quality cut regardless of who you get.

Giving one star is a challenge but here we go…read more.. My 16 year old has been growing his hair out for almost two months. He currently has the Textured Fringe. This hair cut was done at another shop but worked well and he wanted the same. All, I repeat all, we needed was a tiny bit off the top and trim up the sides and back. Our barber was KEVIN and we gave him SIX color photos printed out and left at his station of what the cut looks like. I look down then look at my son and he is bald on the sides and the back. The front is long and slicked back like a greaser. Pompadour style. Soooo not what was in the pics and definitely what we asked for. At that point I lost my cool and went to ask what the heck was up? My teen son had tears in his eyes. I showed him the pics and told him what we wanted. The guy said he would fix it. KEVIN BLEW IT! He literally cut the entire top and gave him the Dumb & Dumber! No joke. This is a nightmare my son said while hiding his tears. I payed Kevin and told him that that is the worst cut we have ever got. Two other barbers were watching as I bailed. After I arrived home I got even more upset and called the shop. Gene answered. He said he was one of two owners. He felt terrible and had seen the horrific cut happen. He begged us to come back (we don't live super close) and have him make it right. I agreed. Gene did a good job cleaning up the disaster. He also made KEVIN give me my $$$ back. My son now has a comb-over with a hard part which he did NOT want. But, at least it is an actual style. He is bummed but at least he isn't sporting the Dumb & Dumber. Good grief. Kevin really jacked up my boy and his summer hair. It will take 3-4 months to get to where we were. For a kid that is a looooooong time. Now I am appreciative of what the owner Gene but please learn from our mistake and DO NOT GO TO KEVIN. Repeat - NO KEVIN!!!!!

This is the exact cut my kid got. So rad for a 16 year old kid. Ask for a Kpop textured fringe and get Dumb & Dumber. Awesome. Thanks KEVIN!

The unique tones, surf‑culture details, and laid‑back ambiance make the space feel open, refreshing, and surprisingly easy to talk in. It's the kind of vibe that instantly relaxes you and makes conversation with your barber feel natural. I met JC after a short wait. Please note than this is walk-in only. JC took care of me and absolutely delivered. JC took his time, asked the right questions, and you can tell he really cares about the craft. He lined up my beard cleanly and handled my difficult bald head with precision. I experienced no irritation, no uneven spots, just smooth, sharp work. JC's technique is on point, and the conversation was just as good: chill, genuine, and never forced. What really stood out is how the ocean theme isn't just décor. It actually enhances the whole experience. It makes the shop feel different from any other barbershop I've been to, and it adds to the relaxed, easygoing energy. If you want a great cut, a clean beard lineup, and a place that feels cool without trying too hard, Offshore Barbershop is the spot. JC is the guy to see. My name is Theron D.
