I'm really hesitant about what barbershop I take my kids to because the stigma of neighborhood barbershop environments is true, most of the time. Faint Blends is an exception to the rule! I've taken my son here numerous times and there's never explicit music playing, never inappropriate conversations (around kids), always sports on TV, and everyone is super polite. The actual cutting skills are top-notch. My son has gotten some really trendy haircuts from Danny and Christian (Flaco Fresco) and they're always on point. Found this place not to far from my acupuncture clinic and thankfully it was not too far away from my place. Took my kid yesterday and we walked in without an appointment. The wait was about 10-15 minutes, not too bad for a weekday late afternoon (5pm-ish). Our barber, Leo, did a fantastic job and we couldn't be happier. I came here from a shop that charged $65+ for cuts. They had top notch quality but the cost was too high for me to justify in my current state of life. That's when Faint Blends came into mind. Had some friends in Brea (The Compound Barbershop) that recommended this spot. Off the bat, super clean/trendy spot. Each Barber gets their own chair and the one closest to the door runs and manages it, so you get a warm greeting each time you walk in. I had an appointment with Anthony and wasn't initially sure how it was going to go due to it just being a new experience for me. Sitting down, Anthony took the time to get to know my stye, asking questions and clarifying the type of cut I envisioned. He told me what would look good and gave me his input. I've gone to him a few times since and each time, he's remembered the things I told him and all in all is a great conversationalist. He's made me feel comfortable and ultimately, I've walked away each time floored with how well my haircuts turn out. The rates at the shop are standard, and although they did raise by $5 a few months ago, they are more than worth it. I think the only thing I have to mention, which is a good problem is the fact that Anthony gets booked up pretty easily, so be sure to book fast! read more
