On Saturday August 2nd my wife and I joined another couple at the Twin peaks location in Shenandoah, Tx and I ordered the Tyrkey Avacado Smash Sandwich asking for it to be served without onions. This is a sandwhich I have enjoyed at 2 other Twin Oeaks locations here in Austin, Tx at least 3 times in the last couple of months. Upon delivery the sandsich looked "lacking" and before I could check it the waitress was off to flirt at other tables. By the time she returned the other couple had finished their meal and my wife was just about done with heres. I had taken one bite of the sand which immediately noticing that instead of Avacado Smash it was served with a relatively thin coating of a house spicy guacamole that not only totally changesd the flavor I was accustomed to, the guacamole had been made with diced onions that were very prevalent throughout the spread. I pointed this out to the waitress that did not really understand the difference between guacamole and Avacado smash and said I would not be eating it. It also seemed a bit sparse in the amount of turkey it had on it. Off she went to find her manager returning later to tell me it had been removed from the ticket. As she left the table with my credit card she must have overheard me commenting that I expected a manager would have come by to address it as well as possibly extend some offer to make the sandwhich per the menu description because before returning with my card a Manager showed up to ask what the problem was. In discussing what I thought was simply a kitchen mistake he clarified that it was not a mistake and that as a franchise , not a corporate owned store like here in Austin, they were entitled to make changes. In this case I pointed out that it seemed like changes that totally changed not only the presentation but the taste of a menu item they were doing the Twin Peeks Corp a tremendous disservice as quality is very often tied to a brand name. Evidently he disagreed with me saying that their customers enjoyed the sanwhich as served. It would behoove Twin Peeks Corporate to review their franchise agreement with their Houston area Franchisees in regards to quality and presentation as well as better train staff that could have warned me when I was ordering it without onions that it was served with guacamole MADE with onions as well. At least I did not have an allergy I would have had to deal with as a result. If you enjoy the atmosphere as well as the food quality of Twin Peaks in other areas you may want to pay attention to alternatives in the Houston area because you cannot rely on the menu item as described to be what you are served nor will there be any attempt to make offer a solution. The relatively uninformed waitress reflected the lack of quality and attitude of the Manager on Duty at the time. Not far away you can find a Bombshells as an alternative. read more

Typical twin peaks place. Good food and great scenery. Little more interesting on this visit as I am from out of town and was visiting a buddy for his birthday and it happen to take place during the middle of a pandemic, a tropical storm and the Astros opening day which happened To be in late July due to the pandemic. The place was absolutely crowded and packed. Mainly sitting outside. Like other twin peaks we got good service and good food. I got a chicken quesadilla and tried a few Mexican candy shots. I can only speak to the smoked wings with dry rub Cajun spice. These were so salty due to them being completely covered in seasoning to the point I couldn't eat but 3 of 12. I used a fork to remove the skin and seasoning from the 3rd one but it didn't help. Fries were good. read more

The ONLY reason this isn't a 1 star review is because we are small business owners ourselves and just because of a miss management happens we will not bring down the rating of this restaurant. Just get it fixed. This location is LUCKY to have Jojo working here. This is the second time in two weeks that the wife and I have came up here and it took 20 minutes for ANYONE to come greet us. Last week we showed up and got seated, waited 20 minutes before going to the front to go to a manager asking for a server. Another 15 minutes go by and STILL no one. First time we have ever walked out of a restaurant, in reference we have never had to walk out of any establishment. We come to twin peaks about once every two weeks so for this to happen twice in two weeks is absolutely horrendous. The Orginal manager that we spoke to should have in the FIRST instance of telling her that no one has helped us, should have followed me to my table to atleast greet us and get our first order of drinks and then found a server to help us....but no. Miss management will be the down fall to the delicious food and cold drinks. Today, we show up, another 15 minutes go by with zero service. Luckily Jojo saw us while working the bar and came over to greet us. Realizing that no one has helped us, she took our order as well as checked up on another table by us that has been neglected. When arriving around 4:45 PM on a Friday evening, we were greeted by 5 hostess who barely greeted my sister, brother in law, and myself. We were then seated in the back of the restaurant and ignored for the first 10 minutes of being there. We watched as multiple other tables (which consisted of only men) were greeted and given their drinks before our waitress even came over. We finally were able to place our order and received all of our drinks another ten minutes later. We were not checked on again for another 10 minutes when the waitress asked if we wanted food. We had planned to grab a couple drinks, but after how little we were checked on we could only get one, despite our drinks being empty for over 20 minutes waiting for her to come back. I was planning on tipping extra (yes i still tipped) due to not purchasing food, but after being blatantly ignored that was not the case. EVERY time I have asked for something a little different or altered from the menu (grilled onions instead of raw, side of ranch instead of ketchup for fries, or meat cooked a particular way), the chef proves that he's too dumb to pay attention to detail. This has been going on since they opened in 2014. It's pretty safe to order fried food here. Though many of their waitresses are still trying to figure out who's on 1st base, I will give credit to their management because they've always fixed the problems. Hate to give anyone a 1 star but this was not a pleasant trip. Our waitress was fabulous. My wife ate half a burger and upon her final bite tasted something minty and when she looked there was a mint inside the burger. Not necessarily the meat but the building of it we hope. Manager was notified and stated a bag of mints were above the cooks and one fell in. Fact or Fiction we don't know. The entire meal was comped but that really wasn't a solution as our appetite Deminished and we were left hungry. Ambiance is what you'd expect. Ok, so I feel like an idiot. The sign said Eats, Drinks and Scenery. Curious to the scenery because I couldn't image anything scenic off I45 and it looked nice from the road, I stopped. It all seems so obvious now. The scenery is the same as the twin peaks which is to say the ladies attire. Think Hooters with bare midriffs. Hard to take interior pics without looking more like a pervert than sitting here does but I did managed one. So, EXCELLENT tap and very cold beer. This ends the positives. The burger was ok but I had to remove the bacon-way to salty. The fries were, way to salty. The service was good but the girls are under dressed. This place was an awesome experience in the past. Unfortunately, that is no longer true. I wondered why the parking lot was not full as was usually the case in the past. Service was slow to start but improved later. However, the food came out cold and it was nothing to brag about. Staff seemed to be new and lacked experience, so that could improve with time. Service is horrible at the at bar. Got one beer. Tried to order food, 2 girls too busy to attend to anything. Then I decided it best to go eat somewhere else, asked for my check multiple times. Then the manager came around and started shift change. 15 minutes to get my tab, which was only given to me once the 3 new girls came on shift. That's unacceptable and I glad I didn't stay to find out how the rest of my experience would go. Not really sure what happened at the bar last night. Some dudes who I see all the time (never cause problems, always super friendly with staff) were asking for drinks and at some point the bartender flipped out on them. I was on the other side of the bar and couldn't really hear everything but she was definitely losing her cool and made for good entertainment. I know customers can get annoying at places like this, but I don't know that having a meltdown in public while on the clock is ever appropriate. Out of sheer curiosity, I walked over to the dudes later at the other bar and asked about the meltdown. Apparently, Taylor (the bartender) had a bad night awhile ago and popped off at these guys...therefore earning herself low tip. My wife always suggests I be the hummingbird and not the vulture. I have not heard the end of this restaurant selection since last night. Pretty new to TX and have seen this place from the 45 several times. Always looks crowded and the outside looks cool. Outdoors looking. I like the outdoors. Something about, the views. And I keep hoping my kids new friend didn't tell his parents where we took him for dinner. You probably already know. When we walk in the staff attire is noted to be, noticeable. Like, not well fitting, mostly skin. Now. I'm just a grunt, but even I quickly figured out what the views were. My kids reactions were, disheartening. My wife. Even better. So. 1. Don't bring your kids or wife here. 2. Maybe not a date, either. Now. I have not seen too many places with so many TVs. Our waitress. Was super nice and changed several channels near our tables so we could attempt to distract the kids. Waitress was solid and only suggestion would be, be more attentive to drink refills. Have either eaten in, or ordered out, several times now. The ambiance would be considered somewhat of a Sports Bar, although it is very suitable for family dining as well. Its lively to say the least...especially on a game night. TVs scattered about for viewing regardless if you eat inside the restaurant, Or in the patio area. The food has always been consistently good. Their fried pickles are the very best of any restaurant in and around the Woodlands area....or anywhere else really. My personal favorites are the Meatball Sandwich, and the Buffalo Chicken tenders. I highly recommend. read more
