This place is in that 3.5 range. The cocktails are a weak point, the bar staff has been here for years and they will make a bad to okay drink. Wine menu is pedestrian. No big guns, but sone recognizable and consistent labels. Spirit offering could be better, but again it's much better than a lot of other places. Menu has enough to make most people happy and the kitchen is pretty consistent in quality and presentation. Went there today with my daughter. Service was exceptional. Food was exceptional and surprising for a department store restaurant. I had the crab, mango & avocado salad. My daughter had the crispy chicken sandwich with Parmesan truffle fries....both were delicious. We had the Billionaire cocktail & French 75, both were very good and you could taste the alcohol which seems to be a rarity in many restaurants today. We will be going back again soon. read more

It was really good, but a little too salty. I'd give it a 7/10 I ordered the Blackberry Lemonade, which was really good, but I do wish they gave a bigger straw with it (like a boba straw). They put fresh crushed blackberries in it, so they kept getting stuck in the straw, but it was so tasty. 9/10 For the entrée, I ordered the Wild Salmon with Saffron Couscous, which was so tasty. I was greeted and told the bar had open seating, which was perfect because I am shopping alone! I have been to this location previously and have always had a great experience! The bar tender today was great. She told me about the two wines she had on special today. I went with a glass of Chardonnay for only $10! Based on past experiences, I knew I had to get the crab bisque. It came out hot and looked delicious!!! I love the large crouton that comes on top!! It was just as amazing as I remembered!! At the convenience of being in a great department store, this restaurant is a great option for a more refined eating than the food court options inside the mall. My friend got the French onion soup with a caprese salad and the basil with mozzarella was so fresh and yummy! I got the crab bisque and fries and wow! Although the restaurant I feel is more on the pricey side for lunch, the portions of both were large! I had to take some back home with me. Ordered a Nordstrom burger with fries and a three egg breakfast meal. It was all really bad, everything from taste to texture. Breakfast was served super bland and it was a chore to hunt down condiments for the meal. The burger had a super foul taste and the fries and breakfast potatoes lacked good flavor, very bad. We quickly found out this place is only good for a quick cocktail, skip on anything else - trust me. As for food, it was a zero and we will never go back to eat here. I love the idea of this quiet little cafe upstairs at Nordstrom. I've been to several Nordstrom cafes and restaurants in other locations over the years and they've always been nice. We hadn't visited since way before the pandemic hit, so decided to go back. First, I saw the prices and remembered why it's not in our regular rotation. I'm sorry, but $22 for a salad and $18 for a cocktail is too steep for a cafe IN THE MALL. I had the salmon Niçoise salad. So incredibly bland. Way too many greens...not enough of the things that make Nicoise...the potato, the green beans, the eggs, the olives (there were 0 olives on my salad)...it was basically all UNDRESSED, dry greens and a dry piece of baked salmon. For $22 dollars. The drinks: there is a cocktail menu but they were unable to make several on the list with not suggestions on something similar. The chocolates at the end are a nice touch and the cafe is clean and pretty. Definitely crossing this off of my list. read more

I would have thought he could stop by, he just kept leaving the restaurant for long periods of time. Bazille is upstairs on the second floor in Nordstrom. If your looking for a relaxing atmosphere in the mall to eat, this is the place to go. The host let me pick my booth by the outdoor section. They have mostly a new American food style. I ordered the heirloom tomato soup which was layered with flavors (5 star). It came with a long yummy toasted artisan piece of bread. I ordered the Sweet Chili Chicken tagliatelle pasta (4.5 star). It was so delicious with a lighter cream sauce and layered flavors also. The food seems a lil bit gourmet/healthy. There were so many entrees on the menu that sounded great that I just went with the chefs special. I really enjoyed my R&R time There is also a decent sized bar area for the size of the restaurant. I've seen a few clothing stores with restaurants in them and except for Harrods in London, I haven't had the privilege of experiencing one that does both well. So as I was looking for a great place for a late lunch my wife begged me to take her to Bazille. As you may know, Bazille is a restaurant within Nordstrom in the Woodlands, Texas. So I was more than skeptical but she is my wife and she did beg, so I felt obligated to acquiesce. The service was quick and efficient. And although I was a little surprised that the host wasn't wearing Nordstrom-type clothing she was very efficient. (Does efficient translate into courteous but curt? - Just checking. :) ) We were sat in a really drafty booth but our server saw how we were feeling uncomfortable and suggested a better booth in the corner. He was kind and although we were moving out of his section he never let on that we were hurting him financially. The second server was just as polite and courteous. I choose the Bazille Burger and an IPA beer he suggested to pair with the American Style Meal, and I wasn't disappointed. The burger was delicious and moist. I always ask for a medium rare burger and most of the kitchens I've been to, rarely send me what I ask. This one did. And I was surprised. The fries weren't too crisp nor too soggy and the suggested IPA "Voodoo Ranger" complimented the burger perfectly. My daughter had the sauteed chicken with angel hair pasta. I tried the chicken and it was moist all the way through. The rosemary beurre blanc sauce was a little over salted but the pasta balanced it out. Love this place. Chefs are 5 star. My favorite dishes are the cilantro lime salad and the crab bisque. They have great cocktails and the French dip sandwich is not one to pass up up either. Nordstrom's is my favorite store so it's a double treat to be able to dine and looks around in my favorite department store. The restaurant is located on the second floor across from the kids section. I never have an issue with parking and the ambiance is great. First off--it's located inside Nordstroms, however there's an entrance to it from the outside of the mall. It's not mall food by any means. Secondly-it was/is amazing!!! A couple of my friends and I went to try it out today and I must say that it won't be long until we go back. We had the Ahi Poke Appetizer, Chicken Caesar Salad, and the Croque Madame Sandwich and fries. Poke was excellent, salad was good and the sandwich was also pretty good too! We each got a cocktail and they were fairly priced and delicious. Service was great! I also enjoyed that the kitchen was open but was covered by a glass window, sometimes you don't need to hear what all goes on back of the house ;-) All in all we enjoyed our time and can't wait to go back! read more

Ok. Who would have thought of eating literally at the mall. But honestly they do a fantastic job. The service was excellent even with a incredibly busy lunch session. We sat near where all the food comes out so we got to see most everything on the menu. The pizza is very popular. Slightly over cooked on the Bottom. But overall a very good pizza. $11. I also had the crab bisque and I thought it was excellent. My wife had the mushroom flatbread and it was very good. I would say (from observation) that the salads and sandwiches are the shining stars on the menu. For desert we had the bread pudding and it was excellent. There's a couple of things about this place that are good and bad. Let's start with the good! Food was awesome! I had the fig salad with goat cheese and it was just amaaaaazing. Such good flavor! Although this was my first time, everyone else's food smelled and looked great too. They also give a pretty delicious bread as a starter, served warm with butter! Yum! The service was really awesome too. Very friendly waiters. The only cons about this place is that it's in the mall inside of Nordstrom, so of course it's loud and a little crowded. Especially during the holidays, expect about 30 minutes to find a parking (unless you do Nordstrom valet for $5). Another aspect is there were absolutely no vegetarian options, except for soup and salad. Every entree had meat, so just keep that in mind all you veg heads out there. I probably wouldn't come back for these reasons. I just wasn't wowed enough. But I would say this is the best option to eat at the mall for better food. P.s. I've been here before, but what a difference today was..sigh. Bazille Totally Missed the mark on this jaunt. Went to enjoy an easy & healthy late lunch while running a work errand n thought I'd kill 2 birds w/1 stone. Eyes rolled when I requested one of the available and open booths ...huh? Was sat and greeted nicely by Server and after that, I sat and sat and sat just waiting for water to arrive.I thought best to cut my loses early n split because if it took that long for just water, who knows how long it would take to order lunch let alone be served. Perhaps understaffed, bad day or ??? But to me, first impressions are important and i won't be running back to Bazille anytime soon for a weekday luncheroni. Nice if you're shopping and plan to stay in Nordstroms, but the portions here are minuscule at best. Ordered some cilantro chicken tacos as appetizers and I'd never seen tacos so small for $8.50 for two. I wasn't even sure it was large enough for a child. These tacos were about two inches long. We were terrified what our entrees were to come out like and bolted. Based on value for price paid this place is a a no go for me. You would have to spend quite a bit to cure your stomach growls. Trot yourself out to the Cheesecake Factory or PF Chang's if your out at the mall to save yourself some grief. read more

The wait was about 20 minutes, so we decided to walk around Nordstrom before they shot us a text - so convenient. Before being seated, I was introduced to the manager of customer service, Victoria. She's super super sweet & very attentive! Plus, she knows her food. - Ahi Tuna Poke (5/5): One of THE BEST I've ever had. The tuna was very well marinated, fresh & buttery. The Asian slaw was tangy & the seasoned wonton chips.. Oh my goodness. THE WONTON CHIPS. That could be sold in a bag by itself. Everything paired so perfectly together. I couldn't get enough! - Pepperoni & Mushroom Pizza (3/4): This is good if you're a fan of mushrooms with your pizza. I personally am not but this was great. The flavors were very good. It wasn't greasy at all. The crust was fluffy but I wish the dough was a bit crispier, considering that it was on the thinner side. The basil topping added a freshness to it, which I loved. - Flat Iron Steak Frites (4/5): It could have been a 5/5.. but my steak wasn't as medium rare as I'd hope. Nonetheless, amazing flavors! Regardless of it being perfectly seasoned, I always like eating my meat with sauce. The kalamata aioli wasn't very palatable to me for my fries.. Why have I not reviewed them before? Outstanding! The salmon and risotto is my go to on their menu. I've gone many times and each time it gets better and better. If you want something lighter they also have many salads to choose from that keep you full throughout the day, but they taste incredible. The layout of the restaurant is very cool. However, I wouldn't recommend going when they're very busy if you don't want to sit closely to others. read more
