So disappointed with their alteration! Took my pants to be fixed. They messed up horribly one side is longer than the other, the inside is weirdly stitched. Forty dollar winter pants messed- up at their hands.I had to explain to the lady four to five times and she still kept asking me what was the problem. Rude! Gave them too many chances .. my fault. I attempted to pick up my suits/dresses on the pick date and my clothes were not ready. On another occasion my husband went to pick up my another set of clothes and again , not ready. We had to wait 30 mins for it. still charged the full price . Had been going to this mom & pop business for a few years before the pandemic. Went back and was sorely disappointed in their business practices and workmanship. Took them a dress and a suit both had small stains. When I picked up my dress the first time, they did not remove the stain. He requested to keep it so they can try again. I left it. And also left a suit with a small stain. Went back to pick up both items but again the stain on the dress was there. He charged me $10 for it. When I asked why I need to pay for what they clearly did not do, he said they dry-cleaned the dress- kind ironic since I brought it home stain and all. Didn't even offer a lower price for the non-cleaning. As for the suit... you guessed it! Paid full price for nothing. Better believe I am never going back. Sad since they used to do good work. Inside is the typical dry cleaners setup, very plain and also very nice and clean! They seem very well organized. It was very well lit inside which was very nice because the last cleaner I went to was so dim I could barely see into the work area. The guy I dropped my jacket off to was a little quite but polite and friendly. Promised it'd be ready the next day (date emergency). The lady I picked it up from was also a bit quite but polite and smiley. The price was reasonable $4.83 for a wool coat. Turned out perfect. HORRIBLE!!! I dropped off a gown and watched the woman apply pins so she knew where to start the altercations, I received a receipt telling when my gown would be ready. BUYER BEWARE!!! WARNING!!! THEIR SEAMSTRESS DESTROYED MY $168 DESIGNER SHIRT. AND NOEMI (THE MANAGER) AND JULIO VILLATORO (OWNER) TOOK NO RESPONSIBILITY!!! THEY EVEN REFUSED TO REFUND THE $12 TAILOR FEE FOR DESTROYING MY $168 DESIGNER SHIRT!!! I brought three designer Arnold Zimberg shirts to Twins Cleaner & Alterations in Lawndale to be tailored by their seamstress. Each single shirt had a retail value of $168.00 (plus tax). I dealt with Noemi who manages Twins Cleaners & Alterations during the day for the Twins Cleaners & Alterations owner, Julio Villatoro. Noemi had their tailor, a senior latina woman, pin the shirt in the waist area where the shirts had to be taken in. One shirt needed to be hemmed to a 29 1/2" length as I wear that shirt untucked. I showed up the day they were scheduled to be ready and when I arrived the manager, Noemi, asked me if I could return in a few hours because the shirts were not ready yet (it was obvious to me they did not even start with the shirts yet). I arrived three hours later at Twins Cleaners & Alterations I picked up the shirts at Twins Cleaners & Alterations and because I was rushing to get to a wedding on time, I was not able to try them on on-site (which I typically always do when picking up altered items). When I picked up the shirts I paid a total of $36 ($12 for each tailored shirt). During this time they explained no customer service policy to me. Several weeks later I dressed myself with my favorite of the expensive shirts that I had tailored at Twins Cleaners & Alterations and it was hemmed 3" (3 inches) too short and the hem was a 1/2" short on the right side than the left side. I originally asked for a 29 1/2" length and instead the shirt on the left side was at 26 1/2" and the right side was 26". Basically the shirt was destroyed as Arnold Zimberg shirts are designed to be worn tucked out. I later took the shirt into Noemi and showed her their mistake. She saw the error and asked me what I wanted for their mistake. I asked her a refund of my $12 tailor fee as well as them to replace my shirt since it was clearly their error in ruining the shirt. She told me she would check with the owner, Julio Villatoro. Noemi called me two days later and left a voicemail stating that she spoke with the Twins Cleaners & Alterations owner, Julio Villatoro. She left me a voicemail stating that Twins Cleaners & Alterations has a 30 day customer service policy where they take no responsibility for any of their errors or mistakes when performing their seamstress or tailor services. The Twins Cleaners & Alterations manager, Noemi, was extremely unapologetic and rude as well with me during this process. She was combative, argumentative and talked down to me too. I felt bad enough that my very expensive shirt was destroyed and then to have to deal with her antagonistic, nasty behavior has been an extremely uncomfortable and frustrating situation for me. Now I can understand a dry cleaner having a 30 day policy for any dry clean items that are not picked up within 30 days. However, it is unacceptable to have a 30 day policy of reporting for alteration items since if they made a mistake altering an item it is the same mistake whether it is reported before or after a 30 day period. Unfortunately, I have a very busy schedule and this is so annoying and time-consuming for me to go back and forth to replace my item. And now I am forced to take them to small claims court to replace my shirt and refund my $12 tailor fee. After being fed up with being taken advantage of at another dry cleaners (they kept charging me more and more for the same type of alterations because they knew I'd always come back), I decided to try Twins Cleaners on my way to lunch at the vietnamese restaurant next door. Noemi was and has always been so pleasant and accommodating. Since I have a hard time finding the perfect jeans and dresses with perfect hemline length, I have to always get my new clothes altered. When I bring them to Noemi and her seamstress, they carefully listen to my needs and confirms with me about what they will be doing to my clothes before I head out the door. The dry cleaning business is service-oriented and it's really hard to distinguish one dry cleaning job over another. DO NOT GO HERE!!!!! ESPECIALLY for alterations. If their alterations are any indicater of the rest of there service, avoid this place at all costs. If you do not speak Spanish, do not go here. They said they did wedding dress alterations, and I saw a few dresses hanging up, so I decided to go with them especially because they gave me such a reasonable price. I have a very ornate cathedral style dress with a tye in the back which was originally held up by threading. I need the dress taken in a little bit, and the tye to be secure, also a dry clean. They take forever to finish my dress, then when I come to pick it up they try to rush me out without trying it on, but I insisted (thank God!!). First off, when my mom zipped it up, there was no longer a hook in the zipper. She had taken it in and removed the hook and didn't replace it. Then, when I had it on and looked in the mirror, it went from a dress that was flared out at the hip, to a dress that flared out at the knee! The tye in the back was so tight that it sucked in my whole dress, and it was secured with big silver snaps, on my WEDDING DRESS! They assured me they would fix it, so it's done 4 days before my wedding, and still ruined! There was random bulging spots in the corset portion! Not to mention one side of the tye had 8 folds, and she had ripped the bulges out of the other half. And to top it off, their little dressing are in the back is filthy(they had to put a blanket down so I could try my dress), then here comes this little brat (her son) running through the room and STEPS ON THE TRAIN OF MY WEDDING GOWN!!!!! She tells me, oh no, we'll fix it. No way. I tell her I'm taking it somewhere else, and she has THE NERVE to tell me I need to pay FULL PRICE! I end up going to this other woman Naeyer, who is fabulous and is referred by the Beverly Hills Winnie Couture store, and works out of her home. I show up 7/26/17 at 6pm because I needed to commute for work on my motorcycle the next day only to be told it wouldn't be ready until Thursday afternoon. This is the worst place ever!!! First of all my boyfriend took his clothes the first visit and when he went to pick up they lost his Levi jeans and the front lady with glasses told him he can just pay for the other pieces and she'll call him when she gets the jeans back... luckily my boyfriend said no he rather pick everything up together and pay then. After the 3rd call she tells him they can't find them and to go in store and she'll work something out. She ends up giving him store credit for $50 (Levi's are way more than that) and when he picked up his second round of clothes they still were dirty! The only thing that they did was iron, ridiculous. You can still even see some stains on the jeans like they didn't put no effort into cleaning them correctly since it was store credit. Worst customer service ever! You were to think after losing some good quality pair of jeans the first visit they can at least clean your clothes properly the second time around especially for being called the cleaners. read more

I used to go to GQ Cleaners in Redondo Beach for many many years before they closed down. I had trouble finding a reliable dry cleaners till I was referred to Twins. The staff is extremely polite and know everyone by their name. Prices are reasonable and parking is very accessible. I receive the same quality service as did at GQ's.
