Unfortunately of coming here for years and them doing my cloths right came to and and after and accident happened and my pants shrunk, and once I went back to talk to the lady about it she simply told me it didn't happen here and that for so many years it nothing ever happens. She simply told me it was my problem not hers when it was same day pick up and try on after spending 50 dollars for a couple of pants. I wasn't expecting her to buy me pants I was only expecting her to meet me half way or even considering a refund but no. She was very rude and un professional. read more

I rarely need dry cleaning or alterations but I found this place near my house and the service was exceptional. I called on a Saturday to have tailoring done to my suit and requested to have it ready by Wednesday. However, something came up and wasn't able to go in until Monday and the nice lady still took me in and promised it would be ready by Wednesday! That's amazing considering they had many other clients and a pretty hefty order. Prices were fair $12 for a hem, $36 for taper, $36 for shortening suit jacket! I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE OF BUSINESS if you are a person of color!! I questioned the price she was charging to clean my white blazer, and she shoved the blazer back to me and told me to go. I have supported small businesses in Torrance for over 20 years, and never have I been treated with such a lack of self-respect. I would not recommend this place of business, if someone wants dry cleaning. They can not even get out small stains on a t shirts or everything else, the lady always says she'll try her best for the smallest stains. It's like you are supposed to bring your clothes to them clean to get clean, I really don't understand. I been there multiple times but nomore I understand you can't get everything out all the time but for a business to be called a cleaning place to say you'll try every time is unacceptable and to make a new stain were the original was at is not professional. Need dry cleaning? This is the place. This little spot is located behind the famous Steve's on 182nd & prairie. There's a parking lot in front. I've never had problems with parking because they're fast. Everyone there is friendly, and welcoming. I've been coming here for years. I took my son's jrotc uniform in there and his button fell off, and guess what? They fixed it! How many places do that? They even got a coffee stain removed from my favorite blouse. If you want a reasonably priced drily cleaners this is the spot. You got stains that you can't get out or clothes pressed this is seriously the place. I won't go anywhere else. read more

I took new curtains to them to be hemmed. Three panels are okay, but the fourth one is two inches shorter than the others. For $20 per panel, they should have at least admitted that they ruined the one panel and refunded the $20 they charged, but instead they hid it and said nothing. Family run business with great work ethics. When I picked up my cleaning, the lady handed me $40 dollars and I wondered why. Apparently, it was left in one of the pockets of my dirty clothes. I actually went to this dry cleaners this morning and brought two coats and a dress. There was an Asian lady at the counter and she quoted me the following for my items. 1) Coat $25 to dry clean (RIDICULOUS!!) 2) Coat 2 $30 to dry clean (RIDICULOUS!!) 3) Dress $5 to dry clean (this is acceptable) $60 TOTAL TO DRY CLEAN 3 ITEM OF CLOTHING?!!? At first I thought she was joking and I literally laughed but she was serious. I told her that's ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS! I've never been to a dry cleaner that charges $25 just to apply chemicals to your clothes and call it "clean". I AM NEVER COMING HERE! I went to the dry cleaners down the street in Lawndale and they charged me $15 TOTAL for all three items of clothing. Thanks for nothing Smile Cleaners, I would give you 0 stars if I could, never coming here again! read more

I've been taking my clothes here for many years and am still satisfied at not only their service but their prices. The family that owns this place is wonderful, friendly, and professional Recently I brought some silk fabric to them and asked me to make a few scarves for me for gifts. The scarves came out beautiful and they didn't overcharge me despite silk being unbelievably hard to sew. I will Continue to go to Smile Cleaners even though I don't live nearby anymore. Great Cleaners!! Nice Family owned Joint. I always bring my clothes here! they always Do a superb job and always get it ready on time for me, I come here usually to alter my dresses or my pants and dry clean my coats. BUT i knocked off a star cause their prices can be pretty steep. Ex: ill Bring in my jeggings which costs me only $10- and they charge me $7 for it. i use to bring all my stuff here,even the stuff thats costed me a mere $7, the minimum they charge here is $7.00 so some items isn't really worth it to bring here to hem. original bottoms hems costs more.. probably around $12 or so. (NOT completely sure) the place i usually went to back home they charged me $4-5.00 for slacks or leggings, and did a legit job as well thats why i say this place charges pretty steep even for cheaper items. they also own the laundromat next door as well. read more

The crew here is very nice and I haven't had a problem with any order. I've come here for press, steam, hem, spot remover and they have all turned out great! I don't like to do this to them unless it's an emergency but they were able to hem my pants in 1 day (brought them in at 7am and picked up after 4pm). I found this dry cleaner a couple of years ago when I moved into the neighborhood. They have always been helpful and friendly and they go the extra mile to make sure my clothes look great. As an actor, I appreciate their dedication because it makes me look good on set. Their service is fast and their prices are very fair. Recently, I had the misfortune of my dog getting sprayed by a skunk and having her run into our bedroom and rub her nose on our comforter before we knew the extent of the smell. Tend to agree with most reviews but I have had 2instances where close were lost , actually given to other customers. Happened again today but got no satisfaction from owner because # of pieces matched ticket which obviously was counted incorrectly when dropped off. Hopefully the other customer will return it this time also. In the meantime cleaners are a dime a dozen and will never use them again. read more

DO NOT TAKE YOUR CLOTHES HERE!! DISHONEST BUSINESS AND WILL RUIN YOUR CLOTHES. I have been a very very long time customer and today I am no longer one. I am so surprised and disappointed. They are nice and friendly BUT I took 7 pairs of expensive slacks to be hemmed and taken in. I was hesitant because several years back I took a few pairs of pants and they came back really really short. However, I saw a different women at the sewing machine so I thought I would try again. HUGE MISTAKE!! All 7 were way way too short. I came in today to have the hems taken down only to have the owner tell me that they didn't do the work! It was just two weeks ago! I don't go anywhere else! I didn't take these pants anywhere else and the pants were still on their hangers that they use. I also showed her where she took in the pants which I questioned her about at the time. She was pinning the crotch area instead of the sides on the hips. Yet she still said they didn't do the work and showed me their stitching is different and that is the Korean way. I took a dress to this cleaners to get a tiny stain out. My dress did establish that it was "Dry Clean Only". I went in with a smile. I was taken a back by how rude the lady was especially since the place is called "Smile Cleaners". How ironic. Well anyways I took the dress in on a Tuesday and she said I can pick it up on Friday late afternoon. I was not in a rush so I found it as being an okay return time even thought it was a simple request. When I returned to pick up the dress I didn't notice anything really wrong with it since it was in a clear plastic covering which made it harder to pronounce anything tiny. So I paid her and left. A few days later I put on the dress and right as I stepped out the door I noticed a snag on the front of the dress. Looked like parallel rips. Very tiny but that was not there before!!! The dress was new and I wore it once before I took it in! I will never return to this cleaner. I do not appreciate taking my close in for a minor cleaning and then getting it back with tears and rips in it!!! If you are thinking of this place I highly suggest to find somewhere else to go.
