Didn't have a good experience. The people behind the counter just seemed side tracked and definitely didn't want to be there. I got a salad and spud, Mac and cheese and fruit kids meal for my daughter, and my husband got a spud. The spud was ok. I can make a baked potato at home for cheaper and better tasting. I had a coupon for an appetizer so I got the regular nacho basket. They instead brought out the ultimate nachos. My sister has some allergies and couldn't eat it. The guy just said well you can keep this one. Not only did I not want that one, it was more expensive than the regular nachos. They didn't fix it at all. We didn't even touch it. Eating out is so expensive these days, so when I take my family out to eat, I expect good food and even better service. We got neither here. read more

This opened up in Goodyear last year I believe. I have been several times. The food is decent, most of the sandwiches are good. I like the potato salad, which is unusual, most restaurant potato salad lacks flavor. They are a bit pricey, but the place is clean and I like the female manager that I've seen several times. She runs a tight ship and I love that! The staff has always been kind and helpful and it comes out fast. Wow, once again !!! Jianna did it again!, we walked in and there she was with her great smile and friendly greeting! Her attitude brightened our day! Jianna was so attentive to our order and she had no problem paying attention to detail with one of my favorite orders here , Jalapeño's turkey Crunch and perfect fresh garden salad!! So so delicious! Came here for dinner on a Friday night and there were a not a lot of patrons in the restaurant. I ordered a spud and was very disappointed. I haven't been here in years, and this was my first time since moving back to the valley. My baked potato was not cooked all the way, and there was an ick spot on both ends, so I had to cut a good portion of the potato off before I could actually eat it. I have a dairy allergy so I was not able to use sour cream or cheese, I asked for extra butter, and the butter was very oily and disgusting. My family was also with me and got their orders wrong. My niece's kids mac & cheese was at room temperature, borderline cold, and they also brought my sister the wrong nachos. When she told the guy that it was wrong, he said, can I just bring you a dessert? The reason why she ordered a particular plate was because of my allergies, and he didn't even do anything about it. A great combination of food and service. I just had a basic Reuben sandwich which was surprisingly thicker and juicier than expected. Loaded with pastrami and a great value. I've only been to MacAllister three or four times mostly because it's kind of far from me. But where I live I'm pretty sure delis are banned. I cannot understand why There are no delis in the West Phoenix valley. I know I know everyone will tell you, Goodcents firehouse mr pickles (gross) Jersey Mike's, blah blah blah... those are not delis. those are sub shops. for those that don't know delis are like a mini market that have amazing sandwiches on any kind of bread you want. not just a hoagie roll. And many many meat options that are fresh sliced, from a deli case, and dozens of toppings to choose from. Anyway, McAllister's is the closest thing to a real deli that I have found in West Valley so far. That said of the other two or three options that are so-called delis McAllister's is the best for two reasons, one price and two variety. My sandwich soda and side cost $15. not bad. The so-called deli across the street would have cost me over 30. In fact the last time I was there it was 35 for a sandwich side and a drink but that's another story. This time around I got the beef and cheddar with horseradish sauce. Really good. I was not even hungry for that when I came in there, but I saw it on the menu and had to have it. I will say the cucumber salad was a little disappointing. they should just call that tomato salad. And their sweet tea was good as well. Service is really good and the place is clean. McAlister's is a favorite of ours and this was the first time at the 8215 W Bell Road location. It was busy, but our order was taken promptly by Kiley. She was friendly and efficient. Our food was delivered to the table by Michelle. Michelle was great, and we enjoyed chatting with her. She came around later to collect our dishes. We are fans of McAlister's soups and baked potatoes. Being a rewards program member got us $2.00 off on today's meal. The Peoria location and the staff didn't disappoint. This was our first time at this McAlister's location & it was what you expect from the McAlister's restaurant. The staff members quickly welcomed us when we entered, provided answers to questions & took excellent care of the customers & restaurant. It was after lunch time so not overly crowded or noisy but enough customers to keep staff busy. Hubby had his favorite French dip sandwich, the roast beef was a little dry but the auju sauce helped with that. I had the chicken salad sandwich & it was delicious. The only thing we weren't 100% happy with was the unsweetened ice tea. It sadly was lacking in world famous flavor. Maybe it was old, maybe we are just tea snobs either way neither of us asked for a refill which is completely unheard of with us because we usually take a gallon home with us but not this time. Building was clean, service and food were ok. Kind of reminded me of a higher end Subway. They bring the food to your table. One person ordered a sandwich without mayo but it came with mayo. First time here and we loved it!!!! Walking in, it is such a nice cozy feel. Didn't expect it to look so nice inside- I assumed it was plain. The service was great, very friendly staff. Even while eating we got offered a free refill on our iced teas. It's a nice touch that they pick up your plates. We ordered the Italian and harvest chicken salad sand which. Both were excellent. Ordered chicken Caesar wrap. This was bye far the worst chicken Ceaser wrap ever . Globs of mayo tasting dressing. Thin non tasty chicken. Do not order it , it's horrible. I even paid an extra few bucks to add avocado and they did not put it in my wrap either. They had around 5 people in the back and they couldn't get my simple order right or even know how to properly make a chicken Ceaser wrap. Save your money go somewhere else. There is a small up charge for the Caesar which cashier didn't advise of but gave me a senior discount I did not ask for. Cool. Better half had half Turkey sandwich w broccoli cheese soup. $9.99 EA. Both of us were very happy w our plates. Great food and good portions. I dug into my pastrami on marble rye (heated w Swiss) and forgot to snap a pic but this thing must have been 3-4" thick. My wife also enjoyed ALL of her sandwich and soup. I like the walk up counter approach where you are given a number, order is made, number assigned and food delivered. Pretty straight forward. Stingy. I ordered the club sandwich from grubhub, and they skimped out on every topping; I didn't get any bacon. They staged the turkey to look like there was more in it than there really was by putting it all in the center, cut it into triangles, and face the cut upward. For the same price, someone at Subways will do a better job, have a better chip selection with more chips, it comes with a drink, and the delivery fee isn't ridiculous. read more

The hubs and I were out and about Christmas shopping for the kids and needed a good quick lunch. We both agreed on a sandwich place (who doesn't love a good Sammy?!). I had been wanting to go to McAlisters Deli and we were in the area so here we were. This is located in the lot behind Starbucks and in n out. It's easy to find and plenty of parking. We walked in and realized this is a walk up and order and you get a number place. There is lots of options on the menu, salads, sandwiches, spuds (which looked delicious ),soups, standard deli foods. I got a pick 2 and you can pick ANY half sandwich, salad, spud, soup which is neat. A lot of places limit to which things you can pick on a mix n match. I decided on the 1/2 southwest chicken and avocado salad and 1/2 McAlisters club. The hubs got a whole McAlisters club on white and a side of Mac n cheese. The total for both was $22. Not bad. We got our number and sat. The food came out within 10 minute or so. Not long at all. Now, my salad was great. The spring mix was fresh and so was everything in it. There was some chicken breast and my husband laughed at the 2 chips shoved in the bowl. I didn't need really any of the dressing cause it tasted great on its own. The sandwiches were really good as well. Nothing out of this world but were fresh and good. Husband didn't care for the spring mix and would've preferred iceberg but he said the Mac n cheese "was on point", he liked it a lot. Seems like a hangout for the local senior citizens of the community. One old guy ordered after me and got his food way before me. That aside, the 2 for 2 lunch I ordered to go was good for 10 bucks. It was half a garden veggie turkey sandwich with melted cheese and 1/2 of the Savannah salad. This had blue cheese, almonds, greens and a decent Shallot dressing. I work in a doctor's office & we've had many reps cater lunch from here. They aren't bad however, why does every sandwich need to have mustard AND mayonnaise already on the sandwich? I haven't ever heard someone complain about having to put their own condiments on their own sandwich. I have heard MANY people complain that they don't like mustard and/or mayonnaise & it's now made the bread soggy. Literally no one likes that. When doing a catering order, please don't put mustard & mayonnaise on the sandwiches, put it on the side & lets us do that ourselves. read more

BEWARE: Their Customer Service regarding their App is the absolute worst. I had acquired over 3000 points last year; enough for 2 adult entrees and either one or two child entrees. Last month overnight all my points disappeared. I sent a message and received no contact. Well over a week later I sent another message. This time I received a response of from a Jean B "sorry points expire after 365 days and there's nothing hey could do". I double checked all my emails folders and I never received anything regarding they were going to expire- like almost all other reward programs. Not to mention not all points were gained in the same day but they all were gone in a single day. This in my mind is terrible customer service! read more

Monday was my last visit here after several years and thousands of dollars over that time. I usually order extra pickles because I love them but apparently that's a serious problem. I always offer to pay for them, but every time prior, they haven't charged me. I asked for 15 extra pickles and when I arrived to pick up my order it had only 10. Yes, I do realize that is a lot, but I have always been clear I am HAPPY to pay for them. When I asked for the 5 additional pickles, some lady from behind the counter started loudly announcing to the entire store to hear that she has to leave pickles off other people's orders because I am demanding all the pickles and her general manager has informed all the employees I must buy a sandwich if I want a pickle! So that would be an average of about 8-10 dollars for each sandwich times 10 or however many pickles I am asking for. My understanding is that restaurants are in business to sell food, but apparently McAllister's has a different business model. Calling out customers for requests they don't like is cause to attempt to humiliate the customer for all to hear like a petulant, immature child. However, I'm an adult. I have worked in several restaurants in my time and I would have been fired if I ever treated a customer like that. Never mind I have offered to pay and my orders are typically around $30. I only go there maybe twice a month at most so it's not as if I'm there everyday demanding free food or something. I hope it was worth it to lose a loyal customer over a special request because they employ hostile, immature 'managers' that think it's appropriate to humiliate their customers. I will not be back so I hope they have all the time they need to run to their safe spaces to recover from the trauma I have caused. Of course they could have easily just ordered and had more pickles on hand, but they frequently are also out of the staple soups they are supposed to have as well. Seems like someone doesn't know how to keep the store properly stocked or treat customers. To that nasty woman, I say that I hope sincerely Mcallisters sees this review and has a word with her regarding her impact on their business. read more
