My friend and I did Voices a couple of weeks ago and it was pretty fun. We had some technical issues that kept us from escaping, but I enjoyed it anyway. The atmosphere was sufficiently creepy. One major issue. The lighting in the room was odd because the walls don't go up to the ceiling. We missed a major clue because the light coming through the open section made it difficult to make out the clue, and we spent far too long confused. We finally found the clue when the sunlight dimmed. It would help it they blocked the sunlight somehow. read more

Very cool that we have something like this in Lancaster. We had a group of 9 and we're able to get out with a minute to spare. Puzzles were fun and complex. Never thought I'd enjoy an escape room and now hoping to plan my next attempt. read more

ive been on an escape room frenzy. so when i saw there was one in the av i was excited. went on 11/27/2016. got a groupon code which made it even better. it was 6 of us and we had a lot of fun. we tried THE BLACK ROSE. it was pirate themed. and story is very well thought out. puzzles to us where quite difficult but doable. we just overthink it to much. but made sense. you can tell they really dedicated themselves to this. and they have more rooms opening up we didnt escape but we will definitely be going back to try it out again. the staff is great and help out us out a lot on the clues. the explained it to us and everything and once it was explained it made sense. overall great fun for a different experience with a group of friends. read more

We did our first escape room in LA a few weeks back and really enjoyed the experience. That location was more expensive, but we booked the room and were the only people in that room. We thought it would be great to do one more local and so we booked a room and arrived before our scheduled time. I am handing over my credit card when the receptionist asks if we are part of the group of seven? We are not and that was when she informed us that we would be going in with another group of seven people. This is not what we intended to do. Nine strangers in a room does not sound like a very cohesive team to solve problems. I asked for my card back and she started suggesting times that are slower and we "might" get a room to ourselves. First time doing an escape room and it was a great start! We started with the voices and pretty cool room nice storyline.

Was very fun, harder than I thought it would be, we totally blew the 60 minute time limit but since no one was coming in behind us they let us finish. The only reason they did not get 5 stars was we were paired up with 4 other strangers and the fine print when signing up may say something about that fact but if it does it was hidden. It totally changes the experience in the room. We thought when we signed up, it would only be the 4 people from our group in the room. Three out of the other 4 people we got paired up with were great, but there is always one!!! She was bossy, did not listen to any of our group on clues which cost us a lot of time since we were correct most of the time but would not try our suggestions. Also even yanked a key out of one of our hands at one point so she could be the one that opened the lock. If you do not have 8 in your group don't do it. read more

I came here with my daughter and her friends for a birthday celebration. It was our first time at an escape room. Our group didn't escape "The Black Rose" but still had a great time. The staff/owners of Twisted Exit were friendly and helpful in explaining the game to us. They even told us some of the history of how they got started. We will be back in the again! Our 13 year old wanted to do an Escape Room for her birthday and Twisted Exit came highly recommended by my brother in law who had been a few times. We did the "Voices" room. It was creepy and challenging! We ALMOST escaped before the time ran out! It was the fastest hour of our lives trying to beat the clock and escape. Very professional staff and set up! Such an amazing place! We planned a bday party for my daughters 13th bday after my son (16) went with his friends and had a blast in the SAW room! Last I heard my sons team still has the record for quickest time! My daughter (13) and her 4 friends were not very successful but it was their first time. They did the Voices room. It sounded so fun that my husband and I went back and took our friend. The 3 of us were so impressed with how intricate, challenging and clever the Voices room was! We were very close to escaping but came up short. Needless to say we are addicted and can't wait to come back! Thanks to the team for being so accommodating with my daughter and for the fun riddle clues for when my husband and friend did it ourselves. Can't wait to try the pirate room! read more

We did the "Captive" room & our experience was awesome! If you're looking for a fun activity in Lancaster, try this! We escaped with 45 seconds left! The employees there are also extremely friendly & make the experience that much better. I highly recommend the Twisted Exit if you're looking to do an escape room. read more

Our group of 6 tried out the "Captive" (previously "Jigsaw") room. It our first time here, and we had a blast! We've done around 10 rooms, and this ranks up there as one of the "good ones". Half of our group doesn't like anything scary, and while this room had a creepy/dark theme, it wasn't scary (at least for a group of adults). When you start focusing on clues and puzzles, the theme kind of fades away (at least for me). The game-master/staff were friendly, and very timely with communication. You have to ask for clues/hints via walkie-talkie, but they would also give other info if they saw you needed it. They did a great job of making it fun! We'll probably be back to try out the other rooms! read more

Highly disappointing to receive a VERY last minute notice that your groups booking for their escape room has been cancelled due to a fire department violation... definitely not a great way to earn repeat customers... read more

Very disappointed made an appointment for my birthday and the day of my birthday is received an email stating that the fire department shut them down due to some issues they needed to fix ,according to twisted exit they tried to get the issues resolved before my date but they didn't ...now I know it's better to be safe and I'm sure it wasn't Thier fault but I'm very upset I was so excited to take 6 ppl with me everyone took the day off of work to go so I felt really bad not only for them but very disappointing for me to plan this for my birthday and it didn't turn out !!! read more
