If you're looking for top-notch seafood, The Twisted Lobster is an absolute must-visit. The New England Lobster Roll can be served hot with butter or cold with mayo -- we went with the warm butter option, and it was packed with sweet, tender lobster meat and served with a side of crispy fries. I don't order this style, but Clam Chowder was creamy and loaded with clams. Fried Lobster Basket: Perfectly hand-breaded cold-water lobster tails, crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside, served with pineapple slaw. The atmosphere was good; we will definitely be back. Stopped in here while on vacation and it ended up being a really solid meal. It's a smaller place and we had about a 30-minute wait, but it was worth it. We started with the Boom Boom grouper bites and they were pretty good -- crispy, flavorful, and a great appetizer to share. I also had a cup of the clam chowder and it was amazing. Super creamy, really flavorful, and loaded with clams. Definitely one of the highlights of the meal. For my entrée I had the lobster with mashed potatoes and broccoli. The lobster itself was good, just not the best I've ever had and a little on the tougher side. The mashed potatoes, however, were incredible and tasted totally homemade -- easily the best part of the plate. The broccoli was simple but good. Overall, a really enjoyable meal with great chowder, tasty appetizers, and standout mashed potatoes. Went early to avoid the wait I had read about and was seated with a smile quickly. Smaller but warm, clean, and vibrant restaurant. Big menu with honestly good prices for the portion sizes. Constant stream of locals and tourists came in so I had faith it would be great. Ordered a mix of seafood and non with a delicious burger for the kid which was big and flavorful. My boom shrimp tacos were delicious but a heavy hand on the sauce really made it hard to taste the slaw or salsa. Although the fruit based pico was delicious when I added in. Grouper bites were big and came out hot and fries were great. Overall a win for the price and easy seafood option. I would come back again and recommend as a good option locally. read more

On a recommendation we decided to take the family here for a nice fish dinner. We were told that we'd probably have to wait, they provide you with pagers. You can, if you want, grab a beverage while you wait. The interior is small and they have an exterior seating area that also isn't too large but both the inside and outside seating are very nice. The menu has good selections and a variety of ways that the fish can be prepared. The food is very good - everything we had everyone really enjoyed. The wait staff is fantastic, friendly, funny and makes great recommendations. We'd all recommend Twisted Lobster even with the wait. read more

A friend and I decided to patronize a local establishment for lunch on Monday. We arrived around 1:00 pm and a line of customers were enthusiastically awaiting their turn to enter the restaurant. We were greeted by the Hostess who informed us that we would have a twenty minute wait to be seated. I'm thinking , oh boy , this place must have delicious food due to the crowd of customers waiting to enter. Well , at last , we were allowed entry and we were seated near the front door. My friend is handicapped and has mobility issues. Nevertheless, we sat down at a small booth and were presented with menus. My friend ordered oysters and Clam chowder soup. I ordered the Shrimp basket and I also ordered a bowl of Clam Chowder soup. The soup arrived first and I thought it was amazing ! It was savory and rich with flavor. My Shrimp quickly arrived and I took a bite of one of the Shrimp. Awwwe , I was disappointed. The Shrimp was breaded but seemed somewhat undercooked. Nevertheless, I filled up on the bowl of soup and managed to consume 3 of the breaded Shrimp. I was full and gave my companion the remaining Shrimp in my basket. My friend devoured the Shrimp. Our waitress Christina was busy , yet quick and efficient in rendering service to our table. The restaurant is small but cute and somewhat charming. I'll come back for the Clam Chowder, it was amazing. I'll have to try a different entre other than the breaded Shrimp basket. I live close enough to the Twisted Lobster for a return visit , if only for the soup. I give this place 3 Stars for now. Clam chowder was great , the breaded Shrimp not so much. read more

We met friends for lobster rolls and luckily had a reservation. This place is crowded and a bit loud , but service is quick and staff is nice. Lobster rolls were good, but the hot one with just butter was super. We're always looking for the perfect one, but it's tough to compare them to those up in Maine, tho they do a good job. read more

And bacon bits add that little something extra. I ate this as a meal. Shuck Club members can enjoy the Twin Tail Special on Wednesdays ($18.99). Two four ounce lobster tails were joined by a flavorful cole slaw and corn on the cob. My wife is a lobster fiend and loves this dish. Great tasting lobstah! Thursdays offer several Trio Specials ($15.99) for Shuck Clubbers. I had the Full Rack N Shrimp with Fries and Slaw. So the rib rack is not the huge rack the length of a cookie sheet pan that we all know. This is dinner plate size rack. Maybe a small pig? Great flavor and tender. 5 nice size skewered shrimp sit atop fries and are joined with slaw. Shrimp can be prepared several ways - I chose blackened. An excellent meal. First time trying The Twisted Lobster! We got a local beer from Ft. Mayers called High Five IPA (delicious)! As an app we ordered Thai Calamari (also delicious)! And for food we ordered the Triple Tail Reuben, Blackened Mahi Tacos (the coconut rice is amazing), and Gulf Grouper! The restaurant is decorated cute. I visited the Twisted Lobster during a trip to visit some friends in Fort Myers. I love seafood and this restaurant did not disappoint. We sat outside and were sat immediately so I did not get a good look at the inside of the restaurant but it was very busy. The outdoor seating area was clean and there were fans to keep diners cool. The staff was very friendly and quick. The food came out within 10 minutes of ordering and was super tasty. The lobster was fresh and hot. The fried white fish and chicken tenders were also fresh and delicious. Must try their chocolate cake. Huge portion! The lobster tail sampler is a little pricey; however, their are three tails and they were all very tasty (even the warm water tail). Service was good once you were seated, but it took a while to get seated. The restaurant was loud but was going for the lobster and not a dinner meeting. Be prepared as it is noisy until about 7:15 when there were a couple of empty tables. The vibe is exceptional. Staff is quick and to the point. I slowed their routine as it was a first visit. Popped back in today for "dunch." We had the vivacious LORA as our diligent server; great service/kind lady. The sesame tuna appetizer was tasty; the soft-shell crab handheld that my husband ate was wonderful; and I LOVED the bourbon salmon with shaved brussel sprouts and sticky rice. I haven't finished a full meal in a couple of years, but these dishes were so good, we did not take any "people boxes" home (LOL). Again, my only negative comment (as noted 1.75 years before) would be that this place needs to EXPAND. It is a well-known, well-loved, local establishment, with great food and nice people, that is so popular that tables at 2:45 PM was scarce, and there was already a waiting line when we left, closer to 4 PM. (Can you imagine what happens when traditional dinner time rolls around?). Another great touch is that the kitchen leaders/chefs come out regularly to check on how/if people are enjoying the food. There was a little bit of a wait because the line for this place was around the corner of the building, but the wait was definitely worth it. Service was great, I didn't even have to ask for a dog bowl after a woman saw me trying to give my dog water in the bathroom and she immediately brought one to the table when we were seated. The food is delicious, we barely spoke a word as we inhaled our meal. Be sure to check what's on special as they have some really great deals daily. Calamari was delicious. Great Lobster place. This restaurant is very close to my assignment project. This restaurant also part of my bookmark sometime. Perfect time to try it. I am here to try their lunch special. I have the fried lobster basket. This basket has three lobster tails with 2oz warm water lobster tail. The tails are delicious. They have sliced the shell and the meat is exposed. Very easy to eat. Meat is fresh and magnificent. This dish also come with fries and slaw. I also got a clam chowder. The chowder is good. But the clam is not chunky. Service is really good. Love the lobster.
