MIXED EMOTIONS AND A SOMEWHAT MIXED REVIEW We walked in and were seated immediately. The space was unremarkable. It was at the end of a small shopping strip with a layout like any sandwich shop. The seating was clean and in good condition but nothing special there. There were a few really nice decorations so it seemed like they tried spruce it up. Two of these were the TV screens with a loop of pictures of the owner, the "Florida Boy" and his exploits. Talk about stroking your own ego. It would have actually been a positive accent if it had been clips about what's great about being a Florida Boy or what's great about Florida itself instead of a self love fest. There were TWO people working when we were there. One person waited all the tables and at times disappeared into the back of the kitchen presumably to wash dishes. The other person was on the cook line. That's a lot to put on the shoulders of two maybe teenagers. I felt stressed out FOR them! It was busy too and they managed it well. Great job ladies! The wait times for the waitress were longer than we liked but I blame understaffing for that, not the waitress. Finally the food. It was good! We enjoyed our meals with no issues whatever. The food was the reason for the four star review. Would I recommend trying Florida Boy and would I return? No and here's why: I view such gross understaffing as abuse of the employees, especially younger ones. The ego stroking we saw on the TVs made me believe that the whole establishment existed to feed the self esteem of the owner. I was and am skeptical about criticism being taken constructively. read more

Unique place..gators everywhere including on the menu! Huge Florida Boy painting on the wall adds to the cool vibe! So many great choices on the menu and we narrowed it down to the Florida Cracker Burger and the Del Boca Bista Grilled Cheese Sandwich. The Florida Cracker Burger is a good sized burger to start with and then they add some thick bacon, a heaping pile of BBQ Pork, Cheddar Cheese and Onions...now ranks in my Top 5! The Del Boca Vista isn't your run of the mill Grilled Cheese....they add Birria Braised Beef, shredded mozzarella, chopped onions, and cilantro on a crunchy baguette and a consume for dipping...delicious as well! Great place, attentive staff...Definitely a place worthy of repeat visits!! read more

Can I please give this place 10 stars please!!! Dangerous that they're in the same shopping center that I work in. My first time going there today I found the music to be fabulous. And so clean and the server was top-notch. I'm sure he was the manager because he was on top of the game today. The three of us came to lunch from Work # down the sidewalk and we were all impressed from the two cheeseburgers to the one grilled cheese . Now let's talk about those french fries....wow! My only complaint Yep I do have a complaint even though I've given it 5 stars because I do think they're going to correct this, and if they don't, my rating of five stars will not change. Because the food is fabulous. They do not have pickles. Pickle relish does not cut it. You have to have either a sliced pickle or a side of pickle for your hamburger. Please consider. I will be back soon and I hope I see pickles on the menu. Everything else they are killing it. I did not deduct a point or bring it down to 4 stars because of the pickle. Went to lunch at Florida Boy Burger. Our server was very friendly, and service is great. There is a huge mural of old Florida showing life in early day. Snake and alligators processed by taxidermy, stuffing them to look real. Be careful of the gators! There inside and outside tables but opted for the inside table. I had the original burger with fries. Hubby loved the lamb burger with bourbon aioli sauce. Both are cooked to the right temperature and tasty! The drinks are even served in mason jars. Congratulation, Burger Boy won best Mac and Cheese for SW Florida 2025. Hosting by a local brewery, Millennial Brewing, in Fort Myers. The food is sooooo good get the Mac cheese or any chicken sandwich and the service was great

Just left the restaurant. Waited over an hour for our that never came. Place was busy but not crazy busy. The waiter did his best but he was the only one and the food wasn't coming out of the kitchen. The cook was terrible and when other customers complained she had all kinds attitude. She needs to be fired and the restaurant properly staffed. As customers came in they were told to sit anywhere but almost every table was dirty. The table to the left of me was dirty the entire time we were there! The place was a mess. The owner really needs to be more involved or they will be in serious trouble. The table to the right of me were there over and hour before we got there and never got their meals so the asked for them to go and still waited they were very upset themselves and it was their first time there. The menu is large with numerous options. We had the Florida Cracker and the Swamp Stomper. OMG it was all so good. The service was amazing. The bathroom (ladies) was clean. Definitely coming back the next time we are in town. read more

First time trying one of these, there's one in Ft Myers also. Disappointed by the burger prices, we're not cheapskates but there's a lot better tasting burgers in Cape Coral. They wouldn't do my husband's burger medium well, server said there's not a button on her ordering device for that, only medium or well done. They have a lot of different burgers & we each got different ones, they look pretty & present well but all we could taste was the toppings & not the meat, the meat had no taste at all. It comes with fries & to upgrade to Cajun is 50 cents, not bad, to upgrade to truffle it's $3, that's quite a jump....they pour all the seasoning on the top of the cup which is stupid. The burgers are mostly $16-$20. We had 2 craft beers (in cans) & the beer menu says $7 for You're My Boy Blue but we got charged $8 a piece, didn't catch that. So for 2 burgers, the fry seasoning & 2 beers it was 61.76. Again we're not cheap but if we're going to pay that kind of money I'd get a very good tasting burger elsewhere. Personally I don't think they'll make it here, Saturday night at 630 & about 10 people & only 1 server & 1 guy cooking the food. read more

Fun spot with a unique twist! Walking in and seeing baby alligators in a tank was such a cool surprise--the kids absolutely loved it. The food was solid as well, but honestly the real highlight was Dakota. She was friendly, polite, and somehow running the whole restaurant like a pro. Great burgers, cooked just as we asked - bonus part the lettuce is "shredded" and not just a leaf. The gator tank when you walk in has juvenile gators which was a great surprise. Let's Get right to it, upon entering this establishment you will notice a large but not to large center piece tank with juvenile gators and a sign that says to seat yourself which I love that because I prefer window and bar seats instead of a tabletop plus bonus, I can sit closer to the gators. I asked some questions about them and was told they help to raise them and when they reach a certain size they are removed and replaced with smaller gators so right off the top, I love what that represents. I find gators to be a very majestic misunderstood creature. After which I was greeted by Daniel with a smile and positive presence, I had forgotten my reading glasses, so I asked for recommendation's. Daniel asked if I was allergic to anything which I am shellfish, so I went with the Gator bites they were served with swamp sauce which has a sweet yet zesty flavor, to drink I had a glass of the daily brewed sweet tea and i will say it was one of the many highlights of my meal some sweet teas have a flavor on the back end of your pallet which taste almost like a mold theirs did not it had full body with just the right amount of sugar and a lemon which it was good with and without. If you know sweet tea you know you only add lemon if it tastes like it had been brewed at too hot of a temp or the tea sat in it too long definitely not the case here. Now to the main dish lord help me, where do I begin, the burger was more than enough for me it had truffle mayo which I don't like truffle and gave it a shot anyway which i am guessing it really matters how you use it and what you pair it with. My burger was a perfect pink inside which is how I asked as well as it was juicy the bun was fresh honestly cannot find anything at all wrong with my burger at all. and that's not all the fries I don't know what they do but definitely keep doing it although served with their ketchup i didn't even touch it they were a golden crisp on the outside and a perfect texture on the inside. everything came out hot and I give it to them the presentation was very southern Florida! I love the wood platters with our state branded in it I mean come on they really paid attention to the littlest detail while designing this place. Finally, I believe everyone should embark on this experience, I say experience because that is what it is from the live gators to the staff the food, all the way down to the platter your burger comes out on. Also take the time to watch the tv's over the bar and get the feel for the people who own the bar, there is a slide show of all their Florida adventures, this gave it the ultimate touch of a wholesome hometown feel per say an inside look as to who you're dinning with! read more

Honestly the service was nice but the burgers were super salty and it didn't taste good in general. The store also has a tank with 4 smaller gators in it that don't even have enough room to turn around. The tank is also really dirty. It's actually sad to see.
