Found Twisted Path on a Milwaukee Foods Tour and what a find! There is no street signage so unless you knew it was here, you'd be out of luck. This speakeasy style distillery does everything onsite. A relatively small tasting room, but it has a lager space in back available for tours where the spirits are actually made. The bartender made me an old fashion utilizing rum. Just tremendous! I tasted the rums, gin and the vodka--all were unique and quite good. Brian, the man behind the curtain obviously loves what he does and has a great story to tell about creating the business. Stumbled upon this place after an event and I'm glad I did. We had the 'soup of the day' and it was delicious- the soup of the day isn't on their regular drink menu but that's ok because their other drinks sounded delicious! According to our bartender that night, they make their own juices and use creative ingredients to craft their cocktails because a distillery they have to use everything they make. We do not have the luxury of living near Twisted Path so I made the VERY UNFORTUNATE decision to gift Twisted Path spirits to local friends for Christmas. I placed a 4-pk order on Dec. 8th and neither Twisted Path nor their 3rd party shipper (GLS - I've never heard of them) can track the shipment. One hand definitely does not know what the other hand is doing. So everyone stays in the dark, but mostly the client who now has to scramble. They apologize well, but fall very short knowing what the current situation is; they are at a complete loss. How does their online business stay intact? It's beyond my comprehension. So sitting here not knowing when or if is not a great feeling. Online buyer beware. read more

Good tour, the owner / distiller is very knowledgeable, and open to answering any questions. They have wonderful tasting spirits. Bartenders were friendly. Space is very nice and dog friendly. Would definitely recommend a trip here. Bonus they had a pop up bbq restaurant when we were there. read more

This place was very disappointing! The tiny drinks are very expensive! It was 86 degrees in there and 74 outside. Way to hot to enjoy a drink! The bartender was just horrible. He wasn't talking to anyone and had no personality! He seemed like he didn't want to be there! The owner is awesome but needs better staff to promote his homemade booze! I took the Twisted Path tour with a local tour group before the tasting room opened, and we had a great time. Brian the owner is charismatic, and did a great job explaining how the product is made and why it's so amazing. We now have a few different bottles of their spirits in our liquor cabinet, and they're always our go-to for cocktails. We also had the chance to visit the tasting room recently, and we were equally impressed. The service was fast and the cocktails were amazing! Will definitely go back soon. read more

This is a NYC caliber bar with Milwaukee hospitality and charm. The bartenders are extremely knowledgeable but not pretentious and the drinks are like none I have tasted. The dark rum is simply dreamy, the space is light and modern and the snacks are an absolute perfect accompaniment to the drinks. read more

Wow, what a fun experience! We visited Twisted Path this past weekend, and took a behind the scenes tour. The owner, Brian, was very knowledgeable and informative, and the tour was fun and ended in the tasting room where we tried several of Twisted Path's own spirits. Before the tour, we got a drink at the bar--I chose the PB&J. OMG I cannot wait to go back for another!!! The bartender, Jon, has some very original drinks on the menu. The ambiance is comfortable for all ages, music playing, a great place to spend an afternoon or evening. Looking forward to our next trip to Milwaukee. read more

What an amazing place and excellent spirits! My husband and I took the 5 pm tour on Saturday and it was so informative. And the best part was being able to taste all of the spirits that are available for purchase at the moment. Everything was top shelf and we were blown away by both Gins. I came here on a Friday night, where they had live music (with no cover), Fox fire food truck, and free samples of their chai bottle served in shots! I did not try the food outside, but I did have a couple drinks; they are $9 on average. I ordered the DJ beets first, and was warned by another patron that it had a different after taste. Upon tasting, it was very unique and had an apple cider vinegar taste to it, and you could definitely taste the beet flavor, along with ginger. It felt like I was drinking a much healthier alcoholic beverage, imagine a smoothie fermented into a drink. My next drink of choice was of the banana strawberry variety, which came in a smaller glass, but I can tell you the cocktails are hand-shaken and come with a garnish (I.E. basil or an orange peel) to give a distinct taste. Lastly, I chose the new chai drink, which they have two options: a citrus variety and a coconut milk option. At first, I was served the citrus, which I recalled in our sampling that I did not have a liking for, so I opted for the coconut flavored cocktail instead. This location is on the smaller side, and especially with live music it can feel pretty packed. I was able to secure seating on the very end of the bar, with one chair left and my friend nabbed a seat from the chairs posted up along the wall. There is another side of the place where they serve beer, and that section is even smaller. They have two restrooms, which are unisex. Although this wouldn't be a regular spot for me, it can be a nice little spot for something smaller scale. They also have a comedy show going on next month, check it out! read more

This review is based on service only. Today, although very patient with the three servers neither my husband nor I were able to place an order after sitting at bar for 20 minutes. Last straw was when another woman walks in the door and sits down next to us and she gets helped prior to us. I hope service improves. Bought a Groupon for the distillery tour and tasting and was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed the whole experience. The tour leader/owner was very down to earth, knowledgeable, friendly and had a generous pour. I ordered a specialty drink using their chai liquor and it was the best thing I've had all season. We went their this weekend for my bachelorette party. I didn't organize it, but as far as I understand it, they made a special tour time for us, as we were on a tight schedule! We love going to twisted path . They make the best drinks and always come up with something new for me to try. My favorite favorite is the lemon cello and the cucumber and the orange and the grapefruit . It is s wonderful place to stop and the guys that work there are complete gems!
