We usually only go on Saturdays during cosmic bowling and they usually let you pic the music and there usually isn't too long of a wait considering we usually have a group of 10+. Bar pricing isn't too terrible and shes usually fast. And surprisingly the food isn't bad. We've had pizza, burgers, fries, cheese breadsticks, ice cream etc and it all is pretty tasty. Small arcade area but it's perfect for waiting for lanes and something to keep you busy. They have an escape room but we haven't tried it yet. All in all it's always a fun Saturday night! read more

We stopped by because we have seen this place for last year. We waited at the bar with 8 other people all who had drinks. We watched the bartenders high five and talk as well as refill the straws for 20 minutes and never once acknowledged our existence. We are both 15 year hospitality workers and it was embarrassing and unacceptable, not to at least say I'll be right with you. Came with a friend for cosmic bowling and it was so fun. They have music playing and cool lights. They have pizza and other stuff to eat and drink and they have a separate bar area but you can drink while bowling lol. They even have pool tables which is cool. Would come again. read more

This is an amazing place for a kid's birthday party. Our daughter had her birthday here today (4/7/2018) and Kami did an incredible job with the kids. Compared to other parties, this was a great value for 3 hours (1 hour bowling/1 hour for feed and dessert/1 hour game room). We chose this place a long time ago, because it was close to home. We choose to go here now regularly because we are always satisfied with our experience. They usually have lanes open and if they don't, it's only about a 20 minute wait. Colin and Jillian at the front desk are always amazing help for anything we need and to make our experience pleasurable. What a great place! Drove by so many times but never stopped. Took my 9 year old grandson and a friend for some bowling. One of the attendants actually came over and gave an impromptu lesson! My family and I are escape room junkies and this one was great! We have done a few in other arcade type businesses and they were just cashing in on the craze. Not Plainfield Lanes! It was a great room. It has a fair amount of technology, the puzzles were awesome, and the game master was spot on! This is a very nice bowling alley with a bar, food, an arcade, and an escape room. The service was very quick with food and the cheese fries were phenomenal. Been going here for years and was a fantastic time, finally go as a group and have to wait for 45 minutes, but not allowed to leave the building, so I have to spend more money on games to fill the time. Finally my turn comes up and I get two lanes for an absurd amount of money (never before has this place costed this much). We pay for 3 games, but get interrupted by the waiting staff who kicks us out, due to inactivity. One of our players had a medical emergency and we decided to keep the game on hold. He comes back and our lane is shut down. I go and request a refund and the manager very disrespectfully tells us there are none and we should have read whatever fine print he was referring to. He sucks at customer service and clearly has issues at home. Shouldn't be allowed to manage anywhere I certainly wouldn't want him working for me. Gets a key and think he owns the place when he clearly has nothing else in life. All I wanted was a little respect and a refund man. I hope you take that into consideration next time. Everyone else was great except the cleaning girl who tried taking down to me while I was trying to clean up. Still will probably be back but during the day when there's a different staff. read more

We have wanted to try an escape room for a long time. My daughters and I finally went to the one at Plainfield Lanes. I am SO glad we did! We had a BLAST! We were so worried we wouldn't be able to figure out any clues, but the Gamemaster we had was a wonderful girl who made it incredibly fun. It was challenging, but very exciting. Great facilities, clean, newer shoes. They were very accommodating to my 4 year old. The not so great parts were the prices..... ouch! We played 3 games and it was over $35 with shoes for 3 of us. It was also a bummer when our son wanted to play one of the arcade games but you have to buy some sort of card with credit on it and then use that. I am so sad about the new ownership. Had two recent incidents. They have updated the physical aspect of the facility but that personal, family feeling we got with Kevin is gone. My son wanted his bday party there. I called for 5 days with no return phone call. I had to go in to make the arrangements. Because he is a teenager, he just didn't want Pizza, he wanted to add appetizers. They made me order individual appetizers off the menu and couldn't accommodate platters for a group. Every summer the old owner use to allow our kids to use the summer coupon program because they were special needs but would tell us it was okay and encourage us to sign up. So we did this summer and the new owners would not let kids redeem the coupons. KEVIN WHERE ARE YOU. THE FAMILY FEELING YOU BUILT UP WITH YOUR CUSTOMERS IS GONE. Get a clue new guy. The only redeeming factor is the old employees he kept and the remodeling. read more

We went there for our grandson's birthday and were treated poorly. I will never go there again even if they paid me. We were told very rudely if we didn't buy their party package that would could not bring in cake or presents. I can understand the cake but presents? Even though we bought pizza, soda, drinks, bowling and tokens. It gets better, when the pizza comes, I ask the girl if we can get plates and napkins and she tells me to go get up and get them myself. My grandson's 8th birthday party was at Plainfield Lanes and what a perfect place this was! EVERYTHING was included in the price (yes, even the pizza, drinks, cupcakes, bowling, arcade games).....EVERYTHING!! Nick and Kayla, the party pros, interacted with all of the kids, danced with the kids, played games, encouraged the kids, etc., to make sure everyone was having a good time. Once in the party room, Nick and Kayla served the food and drinks, played more games with the kids, and generally kept everyone entertained. From the minute I walked through the doors, where I was greeted for my son's birthday party, to the very last minute, Plainfield Lanes and more specifically my party host, Josh, was amazing! Every minute was planned and Josh and his staff were there to take care of everything. He took care of the boys and entertained them. He explained everything in detail, made balloon animals/hats, showed magic tricks, served the food, played games and awarded prizes. I purchased the Epic package and I did not have to lift a finger. The facility was spotless. The arcade area was clean and every game worked. The lazer maze was a nice addition too. The pizza and cupcakes were delicious. Each child received tokens, 1 trip through the lazer maze and a goodie bag. I highly recommend having a birthday party here! I will be back with my teen for the teen VIP party. read more
