Did you ever pass by that huge ice cream cone on Fry Road and wonder if their ice cream is good. Well, the answer is YES. If a company feels strongly about making their building look like what they serve-you can be assured that they know what they are doing. It's all soft-serve here, and it's very creamy and delicious. During the summer it can get busy and service is a little slow at times but it's worth the short wait. I normally opt for a plain vanilla cone because I want to savor the vanilla soft serve, but tonight I got a medium heath twirl (which is like a blizzard). It was too big-I should have gotten the small. My son always gets a cheesecake shake-his favorite. We even go there in the winter on rainy cold nights--utilizing the drive thru-we have do our part to keep this wonderful business open for more popular summer months. read more

This is my 2nd attempt at having frozen yogurt here. It was definitely not frozen. Only yogurt. Toppings fell all over my car. Cone bottom was broken off. I've been here like 5 times in two weeks. The ice cream is just so creamy ! The workers are hit or miss mostly hit but I've had a few where I guess it was a bad day. I would like to give this place 5 stars but I have to order double sprinkles to get even close to what is pictured for the cone. Also when I get my icecream is always leaning so bad I have to get a cup to flip my cone into or it will fall to the ground. But it doesn't stop me from driving out of my way for 20 min to get the ice cream. Just wish I could have a cone covered in sprinkles like the advertised picture without having to pay more. read more

I love love love this place. I'm from MiamI, where soft serve ice creaM is very popular. When I moved to Houston, it was hard to find good soft serve ice cream. I love that you can drive up and get some amazing ice cream with sprinkles, chocolate sauce. Just old fashioned ice cream. Now I will say, I think the prices are a little high but in the end, it's so tasty and fresh. I wish there was one closer in Katy, because it is so good but then I would live there. Take the kids and have some great ice cream. It's a fun place that you can make some great memories. read more

its november... we had no business going to get ice cream, yet there we were, like 3 kids in a candy store, all stretching our necks out the window to see the menu. tons of awesome options and with great reviews to back it up, we were pretty stoked. I will say for the record, that i am not an ice cream eater. i am more the savory person of the family, but hubby and son were ecstatic. i opted for a plain vanilla cone in a waffle cone. the reviews were right, very smooth and very creamy. but better than even the ice cream was the fresh and crisp waffle cone. hands down the best waffle cone i have had in my life. my son ordered a hot fudge brownie but unfortunately, the ice cream shop was out of hot fudge, so he had to settle for hersheys syrup. that alone would have changed my order as you need hot fudge for obvious purposes. Then he had to scrape off so much whipped cream. he said it had too much and was a waste and probably a way to make the brownie bigger, dont know for sure my husband ordered a banana split. again, too much whipped cream, but what can you do? its not like i would be driving back and reqeusting a different / replacement order because of that. if we go back again, which i am sure we will, if these few things are addressed, i will upgrade my review to 5 stars. read more

Their building is literally a giant ice cream cone! You can't miss it! They have a large variety on the menu making it easy to order for the whole family as I'm sure there is something on the menu for everyone. Can't go wrong grabbing a cold sweet treat on a warm day. Drive thru is quick and hardly ever a long line. You can also choose to order from their walk up window. read more

I love this place. It's a little bit of a drive from where we live but it is SO worth it. The reviews about melting ice cream in Houston make me laugh.. DUH! If it's not 30 degrees outside, of course it will start melting when it's out of the machine. Ice cream that doesn't melt probably isn't what you think it is... anyways. Give this place a try. Cutest little ice cream shop ever. The building is an ice cream cone shaped structure. There is a walk-up counter to order from or you can drive-thru. There is no indoor seating, but there is a patio with a few benches. The ice cream menu is extensive...tons of treats to choose from...cones, cups, sundaes, ice cream tacos, banana splits, etc. The staff are always friendly and polite, the wait isn't usually very long either. Twistee Treat was pretty good. It's super hot outside so they had the windows closed. For a minute I thought that they only did drive thru, but then they opened the window to take my order. The girl was friendly and there was no problem with my order. The kids ordered chocolate malts with chocolate chips. I just had a small vanilla cake cone. It was already melting down my hand by the time I made it to my seat. But hey, it's summer in Texas! My cone was good. Nothing extraordinary, but good. One kid liked the malt, but my picky eater did not. Overall, it's a good place to take kids. We'll be back. read more

The ice cream is great, but the young people they have working here are always SO nice and personable. Destini and the young man (He has long hair...always forget his name, sorry!) are rock stars! Attitudes go along way, and these 2 bring their "A" game when it comes to customer service. I usually visit the drive thru on Sunday nights for an end of weekend treat, and request a malt that isn't on the menu (banana) and a banana split with pineapple only. Always on point, ice cream is smooth and creamy, not stingy on the flavors/toppings and I'm not handed a sticky mess. Please give your employees kudos!!! read more

We love Twistee Treat. I get the Twirl - it comes with 2 no-charge mix-ins - I get peanut butter & Oreo. My kids get the Twirl too. They have kid sizes. We tried an ice cream taco, which seemed more expensive than it's worth. We've also had a banana split. The drive thru is not the fastest but seems on-par with other ice cream places (like Ritters). The staff is mostly friendly, some seem really busy so can't complain and one young man with dreads that is nice, happy and smiling. Compared to Ritters Frozen Ice cream, at Twistee Treat: - Pro: we get ice cream faster (the lines are longer at Ritters & we live closer), - Pro: the staff is nicer, - Pro: the cups are better (my kids break the styrofoam cups from Ritters and we have a mess), - Pro: the prices are better (more mix-ins included and base prices are lower), - Ritters has more stuff like Gelato (but we've not tried it & will not), and - Ritters Custer ice cream is better quality read more
