    French toast

We wanted to try something new outside the Phoenix area, and since we were nearby, we decided to stop by -- and wow, what a great choice! The food was amazing. I had the Bacon Skillet, and it was absolutely delicious. My wife ordered the French toast and egg breakfast, which was also fantastic (I even had to get a side of French toast for myself ). Our server, Casey, was super friendly and attentive, making sure we had everything we needed. The place is small but cozy, with good music and a great atmosphere. Definitely worth the visit!

Nice diner in Anthem. We picked it from Yelp reviews and popped off I17 for lunch. Great service. Great menu. You'll be pleased.

    Coffee & hot tea

This was hubby & my first time trying Two Brothers Kitchen in Anthem. It was a Tuesday morning & the place was surprisingly busy, but thankfully not too loud with conversations/background noise. We were immediately greeted & seated. We ordered coffee & black tea while we looked the menu over. I ordered the ham & eggs with hash browns & toast. The eggs were perfectly over easy, ham as tasty but a little dry, hash browns perfectly crispy & toast good, homemade mixed berry jam was amazing! Hubby on the other hand had a less than ideal breakfast. Hubby has severe dairy & pork allergies so breakfast choices were extremely limited we were hoping to have steak & eggs but not an option so he had tea, eggs & fruit. Not the best but it worked. So yes, Two Brothers Kitchen has a good breakfast but limited if you have restrictions. Service was great, Angie was courteous & professional. Maybe next time we'll try lunch.

    Meat lovers skillet

Alright so this place is good. Had the biscuits and gravy, meat lovers skillet and cinnamon roll French toast. Though the gravy does not have sausage, it is uniquely flavored. The cinnamon roll French toast was surprisingly not too sweet, which was my concern. I could eat four slices on my own. The meat lovers skillet, we went with over medium eggs and there were surprisingly great. The server was super kind and the food came out pretty quick. More of a cafe vibe with restaurant menu. The reason for four stars is that for us it is about a 30 minute drive. If you live nearby and have not been, you should definitely go. If you're in similar shoes to mine, stop on your next trip to anthem or north of anthem.

This is our first time at this location & it was very good. I ordered the meat lover skillet and she ordered the bacon pancakes. All I can say for what we ordered come with an appetite because it will fill you up. Ambiance very nice. Waitress was very attentive.

Who doesn't love a breakfast sandwich? Two Brothers, a nice no frills cafe, could be the best. They have a great selection of breads, style of egg, meat, options, and cheese. My server was attentive and pleasant.

Turkey omelette with potatoes and fruit. So healthy and yummy!

The service was good, the food was ok/good (not great) and the atmosphere seemed a bit like a slightly higher end retirement community room. I was disappointed at the feel as the menu would seem to call for white tablecloths and some better looking seats. That would dress it up. I had the Bass or Cod (cannot recall as it was not all that memorable). It actually looked great and the presentation was nicely done, but the flavor was more on the bland side. My wife got the stuffed chicken which was stuffed with a sausage mix. She liked it although I did not get a taste so it is hard to tell. I had an old fashioned which was good and came in what seemed like a better than average portion. We also had a bottle of Cabernet. Overall, we likely won't go back despite it being so close and with menu items that are in the the higher end in town but if it is not made exceptionally well and with an atmosphere that doesn't match the menu, why go? For my money, even with escalating gas prices, I will just take the trek into Scottsdale.

We parked and walked in with our child, where the hostess greeted us. While standing at the hostess stand, we noticed the lobster tail advertised and commented that it sounded perfect and something we would definitely order. The hostess then asked for our name and where we lived, and informed us we could not dine there because we were not members or residents. If this is a members-only restaurant, that should be clearly communicated upfront - before guests are allowed through the gate and into the restaurant. We might have considered membership, but after this experience, we definitely will not.

Roadrunner Restaurant -- Definitely Worth the Trip!…read more We've been supporting Roadrunner for a couple of months now, and I have to say--there is SO much to do here for everyone! They have bull riding, live music, line dancing, and more. The whole place is set up like an old Western ranch, complete with a gift shop, a HUGE dining area and bar, plus an outdoor patio bar with misters and swamp coolers. And there's bull riding, Waylon's, and plenty more to explore! Now for the most important part--the FOOD! Every plate that comes out of that kitchen is packed with deliciousness. I absolutely LOVE the quesadillas! Their burgers are juicy, flavorful, and cooked just right. And wait...there's MORE--they serve breakfast, too! And yes, it's yummy! I truly can't say enough good things about the employees and owners. They are wonderful, welcoming, and make you feel right at home. The crowd can be a little different depending on the day, but that's part of what makes Roadrunner so much fun. There really is something for everyone. If you haven't checked out Roadrunner yet, GO! It's absolutely worth the trip to New River and it's super convenient--just off I-17. Good food. Good people. Good music. Good times. What more could you ask for?

I was happy to see they had a limited cocktail menu. Anything beyond a Bloody or a Mimosa is unnecessary at a bfast/lunch place, but word is they're getting a new full bar in an upcoming renovation. So if you like an Old Fashioned with your pancakes, you're in luck! We had a bunch of stuff, highlighters the million $ bacon. Lowlight was the biscuit bites. Nice flavor but super dry. I am reviewing the North Valley Pkwy location…read more First Watch has been on a downhill slide for a while, and my breakfast here on Friday confirmed it. I was in Phoenix for a work trip and ordered breakfast and drinks for three people. The bill was around $100, which would be perfectly reasonable if the food and service matched the premium pricing. Unfortunately, they didn't. I ordered the Morning Meditation, advertised as a fresh juice made with orange, beet, lemon, ginger, turmeric, and agave. After a long wait, I received what appeared to be plain orange juice. When I asked for it to be corrected, the server brought me a small cup of beet juice and told me to mix it in myself. I then asked about the other advertised ingredients, including the ginger and turmeric. He mumbled something, and when I asked him to clarify, he said something along the lines of, "I can't go to the station; I don't have access to it." He then walked away, and that was the end of it. No attempt to correct the drink, replace it, or remove it from the bill. This wasn't my first visit. I've eaten at First Watch many times (various locations), and the food has consistently been bland and barely okay--perhaps a small step above IHOP--while the coffee tastes like basic hotel coffee. Service is hit or miss, but more often than not, it's a miss. I have no problem paying premium prices for premium food and service. But First Watch is charging premium prices without delivering either. At this point, continuing to return after so many disappointing experiences is probably my own fault. I won't make that mistake again.
