We had Betsy as our guide. She was not only funny she was so informative. We enjoyed our walk very much and learned a great deal. Six of us took tgw dead sexy tour with Dannal. She was great to she is passionate about a city she loves and it shows. We were a tour of 8 total, and it was a nice size. The cemetery is hectic, with lots of groups in there, she mauvered well and we got to see all the highlights. Other tour groups were very large, ours was perfect. We all felt like we learned a lot, and would highly recommend this tour company to anyone. This was a great tour and we even got to stop for an adult beverage. I'd read quite a bit in advance, and she added even more. These tours were also limited to around 12. That was really manageable & far more preferable than the permissible max of 28. Wasn't sure what to expect on this walking tour (my partner and I did the French Quarter Walking Tour), but it was amazing. Christine, our tour guide, was amazing: friendly, extremely knowledgeable, and funny. I liked how she treats the tour as something she would do with her friends and family, and points you to things you can do later, on your own. It was great to hear about the history of New Orleans, with interesting tidbits thrown in (like the story of the muffuletta). The two hours flew by, and I especially appreciated the pit stop for candy and an alcoholic beverage. Some good laughs, and the tour was completely professional. At the end of the tour, Christine mentioned that she'd be going to a happy hour at the hotel bar at The Westin, as the famous jazz clarinet player, Tim Laughlin, was playing. My partner and I decided to steal her plans, and we thoroughly enjoyed our time listening to some great music (and thank you, Christine, for introducing me to Tim Laughlin), and having a drink with a great view. Two Chicks Tours-- you must know that Loki's Garden District + Cemetery tour MADE my birthday weekend. We took a tour today, Memorial Day, and despite the 80+ degree weather, his energy and engagement was fantastic. He's really a gem. He is so experienced, and fascinating to listen to. As a history major, it's exactly what we needed before heading back to the DMV this afternoon. My only regret is that it wasn't a tour of the whole city, because Loki is the person to be with to KNOW New Orleans. I cannot reiterate enough how much we loved this tour. Amidst all the touristy scammy things you can do, Loki is the light that debunks, sets straight, and makes you APPRECIATE the beauty and wonder that NOLA has to offer. I really loved my walking tour. Two Chicks was recommend by my sister and I did their St. Louis Cemetery #1 tour. Now, I do regret going to the cemetery because it was boring and a waste of my time. But the tour guide, Steve, was great. And he lives in New Orleans, which I appreciate. I don't want a tour from someone who doesn't live in the city. He was funny and knowledgeable and could answer our questions. Plus, I didn't have cash on me and he took Venmo for my tip, which was super appreciated. I would absolutely do a Two Chicks Walking Tour again (they offer a variety of tours to choose from), but just for something I actually want to see. read more

So I did my homework before we went to NOLA and I found Two Chicks Walking Tours, so I knew I had to book a tour with them, and I am soooooo glad I did! It was AMAZING!!!! We did The Garden District Tour with Lafayette Cemetery #1 Tour and had Richard as our tour guide, and let me tell you even though he was far from a "chick" he was FABULOUS!! If you are looking for a good introduction to some good NOLA history, beautiful homes and a tour of a historic cemetery then this is definitely the tour for you. This two hour tour will take you on a leisurely stroll through the beautiful garden district to see some absolutely gorgeous homes. On our tour we passed by homes owned by Anne Rice, Sandra Bullock, The Mannings, Colonel Short, The home where American Horror Story Coven was filmed and many, many more. We then ventured into Lafayette Cemetery #1 to continue our history lesson about the people of NOLA. Some helpful tips: During the tour you will take a quick 10 minute break about half way through (bathroom and drinks). Wear comfortable walking shoes as the sidewalks are bumpy in parts. Take a camera or your phone so you can take plenty of photos!!! Listen, you will learn a lot! Ask questions, your guide is full of information and they want to share it with you! Have Fun!! This by far is one of the best tours I have ever taken! Richard is amazing and really brings the story of the district to life! Val was great on the French Quarter Tour! She is a local who has lived in the area for 20 years. You start off at Cafe du Monde then head up to the riverfront to learn about New Orleans history and importance of the Mississippi River. She then takes you over to the French Market and through the quiet part of the French Quarter. There is so much history and interesting things to learn. There was never a dull moment. Stop and grab a daiquiri before heading out and then on the tour she will take you by a couple places to cool off or just rest your feet. It was a great tour, very informative and Val makes it fun! The Dead Sexy Tour with Loretta was definitely a big highlight of our trip to New Orleans! I appreciated the smaller group setting, but most of all Loretta's evident wealth of knowledge and genuine interest in the city's fascinating history made this tour different than any other. Loretta was super informative, yet funny and oh so entertaining and we learned a lot of interesting trivia that we would not have learned otherwise! Despite torrential downpour towards the last half hour of the tour, I did not feel we lost out on anything as Loretta brought us into a local bar and we were able to take a look at some historical texts and photographs that really tied the walking tour all together. I did the Dead Sexy tour which is a combination of a cemetery tour (St Louis #1) and a historical account of prostitution in the French Quarter/Storeyville. Our guide Karen, is absolutely amazing. Her knowledge of New Orleans history combined her witty sense of humor makes me rank this tour as one of my all time favorites. I'm a Louisiana native and took the tour with my husband and parents. I thought my dad was the expert when it came to our Creole heritage and New Orleans history, but Loki blew us all away with his knowledge, insights and sense of humor. My dad is many things, but easy to impress is definitely not one of them. It was a lovely 2 hours spent strolling around the jasmine and gardenia scented streets with Loki. First of all, you are crazy if you don't join a small group like Two Chicks offers. Those giant tours (28 people!) are ridiculous. These chicks were very knowledgeable - took us in to the secret spots, debunked some, verified others and made for an overall wonderful nighttime stroll. Happened to have a parade in the Quarter, which made for some extra fun. They stopped for refreshments - the first time we took beer and hurricanes to go! No fainting on the tour!! We decided to do a tour at 7 pm the night before and booked it via the website. It was fast and easy. Karen, our tour guide, texted us in the am to confirm location and again when she arrived. (Which no tour guide had ever done before and in the last year, I took 8 different tours in London, Paris, Rome, & Amsterdam.) We went early and had a great breakfast at District Donuts, our mtg point. We started off at 10 am, stopped at historically significant houses, those owned by Anne Rice, some owned by stars, and went to Lafayette Cemetary. Karen was so incredibly knowledgeable, pointing out historical detail, architectural nuances, and pop culture references. She was funny, sincere, and answered all our questions. Our tour was a little over 2 hours, and we stopped about half way through for a water and restroom break. Afterwards, she recommended restaurants on Magazine St, where we had a great lunch. We even ingratiate ourselves and had a drink with her the next night! We loved Karen and cannot recommend this tour enough! read more

My husband and I did a skeptics ghost tour of Nola. I'm not much of a believer in spirits and ghosts and my husband is. I do however love a good scare of hard facts and so I was looking forward to this tour. I read online that Miss Loretta was awesome and I was so happy that she was our tour guide! She was absolutely awesome!!! She texted me about 2 hours before to confirm the location and kept us updated of where she was. She had a warm/spunky personality that was the perfect fit to be a tour guide. She hit all the spots I had heard of and then some and debunked some of the ones that I was a true skeptic of. I think I even heard a little quiver in her voice while saying the stories of the LaLaurie mansion were true. Each time I visit this fabulous city I try a new tour. I'm a sucker for good history and this time, I decided to visit St. Louis Cemetery #1. After reading reviews of other companies compared with the prices, I opted for Two Chicks, honestly, because of the price. It was less expensive than most of the others. I'm not sure why, as our tour guide, Ashton, was INCREDIBLE! She knew her history, she answered all of our questions, and it was a great experience. He was extremely knowledgeable and sprinkled in humor and personality throughout the tour so that it wasn't a dry history lesson. The sites and routes we took were beautiful, and prices were reasonable. This was my second garden district tour. The last one was in 2012 when I was last in NOLA for vacation. I enjoyed that tour. However, my tour with Two Chicks made that one seem like a snooze fest. We had the 1pm tour with Loki on Sunday 3.17.19. He was smart, in my opinion, for laying the groundwork with a recap of the history of the settlement of the area in the 1700s before the tour started. You either need a refresher or an education on the topic to understand the city and the architecture you are about to see. He is an animated, passionate storyteller and the wealth of information that was shared with us was enormous. We were engaged the entire time and really enjoyed it. I booked Two Chicks due to good reviews and the fact that it was a women owned business. Having Loki preside over our tour was a huge cherry on top. read more

This Garden District Tour was the most informative and interesting tour I've ever experienced. Myths were busted and reality was given the front seat. We learned so much history and debunked so much urban legend. I have ONE. WORD. Loki. You want Loki. You want to make sure you get this man. So great! I was in town for a wedding, only was spending a few days in New Orleans and wanted to sprinkle in some education in the middle of festivities. I did the Garden District tour and loved it so much I did the St Louis Cemetery the next day. I did the Garden District tour with Stacey and I thought the mix of informative history with fun nuggets of other info -- myth busting, small anecdotes, and tips on where to go around Nola mixed in. Stacey was super personable, perfectly funny and I loved being a smaller group setting. The St Louis no 1 tour was equally as lovely with Karen as the guide. Loved her 'locals perspective' on all things. The cemetery was fairly crowded (unavoidable!) and she did a really great job navigating through the cemetery. read more
