We live about a mile from Two Cousins Columbia Ave. There are closer pizza/Italian restaurants but we like them best, order carryout 2 to 4 times a month for many years. Tonight we had a rare problem, my wife picked up our order and when she got home and opened it, she found her order was wrong. She called and they offered to remake the sandwich and deliver it. Again this is a place where my family has been long time customers. The pizza is great with just the right amount of cheese, sauce and crispy but wonderfully soft crust. Subs, pasta dishes are popular in our family as well and everything has come out great. I believe at one point we had a mix up and the owner offered to make it right and we ended up getting that item taken off our bill and got it free the next time. As of January 2015, I have no idea what happened here. I used to recommend Two Cousins to everybody in my neighborhood... I live 5 minutes away. Last year I even had my birthday dinner here with about a dozen family members and the service and food was outstanding. (Usually we get takeout, so hadn't experienced the service dining in very often.) But over the past couple months it's taken a sudden and drastic decline. The last few times we got takeout resulted in: - Jalapeno poppers that appeared burned but were actually undercooked inside. (As a former restaurant worker, I know this is indicative of old frying oil that hasn't been changed in a while.) - A chicken parm sub on which the cheese was just this thick plastic-y strip sitting on top that I peeled away, because it was inedible. - A cheesesteak with underbaked, squishy bread (the chicken parm sub was the same with the bread) - Undercooked stromboli filled with poor quality cheese and barely any meat. Overall, the quality is just not there anymore. The bread has especially become greasy and chewy/soggy. We'll probably give it some time and try again in a couple months, just because it's in such a convenient location and the quality used to be there... but if it's more of the same I think we'll have to retire it as an option. read more

I would give this zero if I could. I went here with my friend who has celiac disease...we called and asked for a simple salad...no bread because of a gluten allergy. We get the salad home and as she is eating it notices she ate a crouton. I called them to let them know and the manager wouldn't even talk to me. Kept sending the lady on the phone to me to deal with me. How unprofessional....you are servesafe certified and you can't even realize that croutons are bread. Nothing but a possible discount was offered and that was barely offered. She went to the manager twice and he would not talk to me. I'm extremely disappointed in this place now. Over the past 5 years, the food quality has TANKED. I ordered the Chesapeake Alfredo for pick up. When I opened it at home, the sauce was the consistency of milk. It tasted like hot milk. Noodles were swimming in this hot soupy milk mess. OMG. Didn't even taste like Alfred. No seasoning either. I actually took it back to the restaurant and the three people in the front seemed irritated that I brought my food back. He tipped the container over and I said, is it supposed to look soupy milk? And he started talking to another employee in Spanish, looked at me, and said, this is the way we make it. No apologies, no offer to refund, or make it right . I ended up waiting for lasagna. Which also sucked. I will never ever ever ever come back here. Shame on you guys for serving food like that. It's a rip off. I used to visit the Oregon Pike location every week (I worked in the area) and I always had a great experience. I've only been to the location on Columbia twice but I won't be back. The place is always empty and both times my food was terrible. This time I asked if they would remake it (chicken Caesar wrap was all chicken so I asked if they would add lettuce) and they came back with a sloppy plate with brown lettuce stuffed in the half eaten wrap. I ended up asking to have it taken off the bill and I felt uncomfortable like I had done something wrong. Went here on Friday evening and not many customers there on what should have been a busy time.Food quality has slipped in recent months and the waitress was brutal.She basically threw the menus at us and would disappear for 10 minutes at a time.We had our food and she never check with us again to see how our food was or if we need refills on our drinks.This was at one time our family's go to place,not anymore.If want to go there please rethink this as your option. read more
