    Bronco wrap

We ordered the Bronco wrap and mozzarella sticks from here as takeout for our Sunday afternoon football snack and it was amazing. The wraps were stuffed full of crispy chicken tenders, tater tots, bacon, cheese & bbq sauce. The mozzarella sticks were warm and crispy and made the perfect side. I can't wait to order from here again and try more delicious wraps!

Who the hell gets drunk in Kzoo on a Wednesday night? This guy that's who. So we're rolling around town about 12:30-1am. There's literally like two places on Yelp that's open, this place that looks like a copy cat Menna's, and some Chinese place. Half the car is saying we get dubs. Half the car is saying we get Chinese. Driver maps us to this place. We roll up and GUESS WHAT? Both these places right next to each other lol. Anyways. Everyone opted to try this place out. Menu is simple and straight forward. So we place our order and the food comes out fast, like super fast. With only one guy cooking. One man on the register, AND another employee just sitting there doing who knows what. (We decided that he must be related to the ownership. Just because of the lack of shit he was doing.) I got a bronco wrap with tater tots and a drink for like $10 and some change. This thing is HUGE. Delicious. Hit the spot. However it was heavy on the bbq. Tried my boys cheesesteak. And that's the winner here. Bam. Who woulda thought. Kzoo.

This review is more about the establishment as a whole opposed to their food. I walked in after work to order a wrap and proceeded to use the restroom. When I say their restroom was beyond disgusting, that is an understatement! To top it off, there was no soap what's so ever in the mens room! When I brought this to the attention of the staff, the cashier said they where out! What the heck!? Have their cooks been washing their hands then?? Please get your act together. How can you be out of soap in the restroom is beyond me.

Two Fellas Grill is the best food spot in Kalamazoo (hands down!). It is situated right outside of Western Michigan University, right next to Campus Wok, and across the street from CVS. I ordered The Rich (pictured), which is pretty much a Philly Cheesesteak with Ranch. It is amazing! This grilled wrap comes with swiss cheese, mushrooms, onions, and tatertots on the inside as well. The cook gets your order to you in about 5-6 minutes after you place your order, which is pretty awesome.

I had the "first one on the menu." Really good and filing. I would have given them 5 stars but they don't have diet Coke.

We visited on a Saturday morning for breakfast when most of our area was without power after some…read morebig storms rolled through. Admittedly our first choices were not open due to power outages. This is a new place that we have never noticed before. I believe this building used to house Theo and Stacey's and then Berries. The service was attentive and kind here, however our meals left us with a less than stellar opinion and a lack of desire to return. I can see from another reviews here that the owner says the food is mostly "house-made". I am not certain if this phrasing means the same thing as homemade, but none of our meals tasted at all homemade. I ordered the biscuits and gravy with the added option of eggs and potatoes for an extra $3. Nothing on my plate tasted homemade to my palate. The biscuits were not warm and tasted like a premade item, not like a fresh biscuit, at all. The gravy definitely had a canned taste and appearance - not flavorful or very warm. The eggs were fine, cooked to order. The breakfast potatoes did not look fresh cut and were undercooked and not seasoned as our waitress described. They definitely had a premade appearance. I have ordered biscuits and gravy all over this town, I'm not a rookie in this field. ;) My son ordered a Benedict. It was very basic, as expected, but with a bland, cold sauce. My husband ordered an omelet with the breakfast potatoes and toast. If you order sourdough toast it only comes with one piece, which is fine, but it's not true sourdough from a fermented starter. It appeared to be regular, thin bread from a packaged, pre-made loaf. He also commented that the potatoes appear to be out of a frozen bag, not a homemade appearance, taste, or flavor. The omelet was bland but they do provide salt and pepper as well as one hot sauce choice to flavor things up a bit. The coffee was very diner-esque. Lacking in flavor and strength. However our waitress kept our cups full and warm! There were a couple of larger groups present which kept the atmosphere quite loud during our visit. However the restaurant is cute and has quite a few tables to hold a good sized amount of patrons at once. With a tip our total for 3 breakfast entrees and two coffees was just shy of $60. I know that prices are on the higher side these days, but this was extremely disappointing for the food that we were served. There are so many wonderful breakfast restaurants in our area - another choice might benefit both the tastebuds and wallet! I try to be kind but honest in my reviews here, two stars is generous.

We had the "house tray" intended for 2 or 3. I found the portions of beef and chicken shawarma to be on the small side. The kafta, on the other hand was quite generous. Rice portion was very generous in size. Flavors were very good and very authentic. Service was much slower than expected. The restaurant was not busy, yet we waited for food. A drink order was missed and check-ins by our server were very infrequent. We happened to choose the restaurant because they were having an advertised e-mail holiday special giving 15% off of the house tray. The server was unable to process this discount as her Mgr was not in. Our server did comp our cocktails which was above the price of the discount (for both the missed drink order as well as the discount issue). The issue of not being able to process an advertised discount was experienced by our daughter a few weeks ago. Very disconcerting trend. Ambiance was nice except overall room temp was very (nearing uncomfortable) warm. Rugs in the divan could stand to be cleaned. Overall, we will return. But this step downward has me very concerned.

600 is such a cute place for a lovely meal!…read more We have been multiple times but stopped in on a recent sunny afternoon for some lunch. 600 is so light and airy, we really love the atmosphere!! We had a really great waitress, I wish I would have gotten her name! She was doing the job of hostess and waitress to multiple tables, and doing it all very well! We ordered a chicken sandwich and a salad for our lunch entrees! Both were very good and presented very well! While the food is good and quality feels high - the price is also on the high side. For a sandwich and a salad, waters to drink, we spent over $50 for our lunch! Just something to be aware of! While we had time - the experience was not fast. Something to be aware of if needing a quick lunch. The restaurant was not overly busy but the wait was a little long to receive our order. I ordered a salmon salad - the menu nor the website specify if the salmon is wild caught or farmed. I would really love to know this information - the price would be much better reflected if it were indeed wild caught. :)

Everyone was using their hands to pick up meats and cheese as and jam and fruit! The food was very good and the portion was really large. I am a big eater and this was much. The price was reasonable. The stairs make it difficult for people that need assistance. There is a bathroom upstairs. We had one waiter -the same one- that took the drink orders then took the food orders and took care of the payments! He had bussing help but he was inexperienced and unavailable for guest assistance. The service was horrible! It took one hour to get a cup of coffee. Orders took a long time to arrive another 40 min after coffee. Our check took another 40 min to be produced! After all that a 23% tip was automatically applied!! Wow! Too much under the circumstances. The place is nice with a nice atmosphere and clean. The bathrooms are clean although it ran out of paper. We may try it again but with a different waiter. One more thing... burritos should not be served with toast. Fries or hash browns are a better choice.

We chose Brick and Brine to celebrate a very special Anniversary!…read more Brick and Brine provided us with an absolutely phenomenal dining experience!! Our dinner stretched out over a nearly 3 hour time period, but felt like it flew by at the same time! Never rushed, but intentional and SO enjoyed!! Our waiter was fabulous and made sure that our every need (and want!) was met. He went over and above for us and we loved every moment!! I wish I had gotten his name to mention here! We started our evening browsing the cocktail menu. The offerings are vast! We ordered two different kinds of old fashioned options, always a favorite! One had very unique twist and arrived on fire/smoking! The drink continued to have a smoke effect, but this did not highly alter the flavor! It was delicious and fun! "It adds drama" is how our waiter put it, and he was right! :) It was called "Fire House No. 4". Next we perused the appetizer section. The choices were excellent and we landed on the meatballs, going off of recommendations and previous experience! For meatballs, they were indeed quite delicious but if I'm being completely honest I don't think I'd choose them again. I would venture out a little more. The scallops came highly recommended by our waiter. Also highly recommended was the steak tartare! After our appetizer we ordered a wedge salad. This was wonderful! It mimics what you'd traditionally expect from a wedge salad - this one served with multiple small wedges of iceberg lettuce - but the toppings elevate so nicely! Bleu cheese, the most delicious marinated tomatoes, pickled red onions, and the best, most flavorful chunks of bacon! This was a favorite!! It was finally time to decide on entrees. This was tough! There are many choices I'd like to try and we will definitely be back to try some more. Because this was a special meal and we had heard very good things, both of us ordered the ribeye steak. This is a large piece of meat that arrived with mouthwatering presentation. While the flavors were most definitely evident of a quality piece of meat, I would personally not choose this exact entree again. The meat was well cooked, and done to my requested level, but arrived not very warm. I like my food hot and while I acknowledge that a fine steak presentation likely requires a rest time, my own opinion is put off when I feel like my food is in any way on the cold side. I did not complain about this - and it doesn't affect my rating, but it is worth noting and something I'd like to know when making a decision for ordering! Other entrees that I saw coming out around me that I am SO very interested in trying on a future visit were the fried chicken (WOW! The presentation on this dish is NEXT level!) and the salmon! Everything I saw coming to nearby tables looked quite stunning and I'd quite honestly like to try each dish from their menu! ;) This place is quality, it is very evident! We paired our dinner entree with two side items. The side items are large, intended to serve multiple people. We chose the crispy fingerling potatoes and the Brussels sprouts. Both were perfection! We loved them! The Brussels sprouts had SO much flavor! Even the leftovers the next day were so delectable! We finished our meal with the most exceptional dessert! It was a hard decision but we chose the Chocolate Hazelnut Flourless Torte! AMAZING! It was served with an orange creamsicle ice cream which sounds like a strange accompaniment for these flavors but it fit so very well with the dish. The hazelnut crémeux on the side was also exceptional - just a really great dessert, all around! Alongside our dessert we ordered an elevated espresso that was absolute perfection! One of THE best dessert cocktail beverages I have ever had! I highly recommend this either as your dessert or as an accompaniment! So, so good! Even though there were a couple of things during this meal that I personally would not choose to order again, everything was still superb! I can't choose any less than five very deserved stars!! This was such a great experience at a very fine, local, Kalamazoo restaurant!! Be prepared to spend some five star dollar amounts, but also be prepared to receive a five star, not just meal, but entire experience!! ;)
