Working with The Estate Edit was a pleasure from start to finish. Molly was incredibly organized…read moreand communicative, which was especially important since I was coordinating both the estate sale and the sale of my parents' home from another state. She took care of everything, making sure my parents felt comfortable throughout the process. She was especially patient and kind with my mom, who was anxious and overwhelmed preparing to sell their home of nearly 50 years and most of their belongings. The Estate Edit not only advertised and sold several large-ticket items before the sale, but also staged everything beautifully. They even created an INCREDIBLE, customized video that highlighted the items for sale while celebrating the history of our family home--a special touch we'll never forget. During the sale weekend, Molly checked in with me daily to update me on what was selling. What could have been a stressful, emotional process turned out to be smooth, professional, and even more successful than I expected--we sold and earned more than I had hoped, and their services were worth every penny. I can't recommend The Estate Edit highly enough!

The hours ran from 10 a.m. thru 2p.m. we were among the first to get into the house, we got in at 10:04 a.m. We got upstairs before 10:06 a.m. and not one piece of furniture was priced. We were interested in a taller wood dresser and a smaller folding wood desk. The help was not good at all finally a older woman on her phone walked into the room and aked if we were interested in any of the furniture. We told her yes the taller wood dresser and the folding wood desk. She told us all the furniture was italian and very well made that sounded so odd, and that they would be expensive. She said there were 10 people already interested in the dresser and that the folding desk rolls in and opens and closes very easy. My girlfiend told her how is there all this interest in the taller wood dresser since no other customer came in to look at it while we were there and talking to this woman she didn't answer that part. This woman refused to give us a price on anything she left and came back several more time hiding more and more merchandise under the bed. She made comments to another woman that someone was going to pick up the merchandise under the bed at the end of the day. Since this woman refused to give us a price on anything we just left. My girlfriend really liked this furniture so we came back the last day of the sale to see if we could get anywhere with a price. We walked in the same room and saw three other people struggling to get the folding desk open they all said it was broken. We found out this woman's name it is Liz. She said the desk was supposed to be that way everyone said broken. All this Liz did was lie and tell others different prices for the same items. One item had a crack in it Liz said it belonged there all she did was lie and also all the merchandise she his was still under the bed how odd no one picked it up like she told someone they would. Everyone in the room talked about Liz stealing all this merchandise and the majority of the merchandise was still there from day one. Estate Sales Plus is among one of the worst Conniving Liz is a Lier and a Scammer.

When we arrived, we were warmly encouraged to take our time and explore every room in the house. It was a large home, and we spent a considerable amount of time carefully looking through everything before selecting a few items. One of the sisters gave us a bundled price, and because they only accepted cash, we left a $200 deposit and returned later with the remaining balance after continuing to browse. Before paying, I decided to exchange one of the rugs for a different one. That's when everything changed. The other sister quoted me a different price than the first. I wasn't trying to negotiate or get a discount--I was simply trying to explain that I had already been given a different price. Instead of letting me clarify, I was repeatedly interrupted and talked over. Because my mom doesn't speak English, I had to pause occasionally to translate the conversation for her which seemed to infuriate the sister handling the money even more. Rather than showing patience, she became increasingly frustrated. I was ready and willing to give her the amount she was asking for but not after she blew up all of a sudden, very unprofessional and immature. What should have been a simple conversation over a pricing misunderstanding between the two of them quickly escalated into her yelling at me in front of everyone attending the estate sale. I never raised my voice, argued, or spoke disrespectfully. I stood there in complete shock while she continued yelling. My mom had no idea what was happening, and everyone around us stopped to watch. It was one of the most humiliating customer experiences I've ever had. We had spent so much time in the home because we were encouraged to do so, were genuinely excited about our purchases, and then were publicly embarrassed over a misunderstanding that wasn't of our making. As we left, we were told, "Don't ever come back." I asked for my $200 deposit back, and even that became unnecessarily difficult. While we were walking down the long driveway to our car, one of the sisters came after us, acknowledged that she had told us not to come back and apologized , and tried to convince us to return and complete the purchase. By that point, the damage had already been done. After being publicly yelled at and humiliated, there was no way I felt comfortable giving them my business. After we left, I looked up the business online because I was honestly trying to make sense of what had happened. I was saddened to find reviews describing experiences that felt very similar to mine. As unfortunate as that is, it reassured me that my mom and I weren't the only ones who had been treated this way. That made me even more disappointed because it suggests this may not have been an isolated incident. Mistakes happen, especially when items aren't individually priced and totals are bundled. I could have understood a pricing mistake. What I cannot understand is treating customers with hostility, yelling at them in front of a crowd, and creating such an embarrassing scene over a simple misunderstanding. Every customer deserves to be treated with patience, respect, and professionalism. I sincerely hope the owners take this feedback to heart so that no one else leaves feeling as humiliated and unwelcome as my mom and I did.
