There is also a bar area with TVs, which felt a little different from the typical Italian vibe, but it did not take away from the experience. Service was friendly, but it was a busy Saturday night and you could definitely feel it. Everything moved a bit slower, and we had to wait about 10 to 15 minutes for the check at the end because our server was not around. We started with the meatballs in red sauce and really enjoyed them. Simple, flavorful, and a great appetizer to share. One thing I was not expecting was being charged for the bread. It was fresh and good, but it is not something I usually associate with Italian restaurants. For the main course, we had the cacio e pepe. The flavor was there, but the sauce was a bit too liquid for my preference. It is a difficult dish to get right, and while it was good, I think it could have been a little better. The tiramisu was absolutely the highlight. The balance between the cream and the ladyfingers was spot on, and it ended up being my favorite thing we ordered. Overall, good location, nice atmosphere, and solid food. The tiramisu is the one thing I would absolutely come back for.

I was not sure what to expect before dinner at Two Meatballs in the Kitchen (Naples). I've seen mixed reviews, and two members of our party had a mediocre experience there. I was so pleasantly surprised that I want to share my experience. The ambience is bright and pleasant, and our server (Alexandra) was terrific. Special requests from someone in our group with dietary restrictions were easily accommodated (e.g., she brought rolls that did not have garlic and butter, even though that's not normally done), and Alexandra was attentive without being intrusive. Everyone's food was excellent. I had a side Caesar salad that was crisp and flavorful with just the right amount of dressing, mushroom ravioli in Alfredo sauce (a substitution from the sauce it usually comes with), and a mojito to drink. Others in my group had the meatballs and linguini and chicken Francese, and everyone was very pleased. We will definitely go back based on this positive experience. read more

I was excited to try the new 2 Meatballs in Naples, but unfortunately it was a complete disappointment. The dishes came out dirty, and the appetizers were far below the standard of quality you'd expect in Naples -- especially for Italian food. The calamari had a strong fishy smell, and the eggplant stack was not good at all. The chicken parmesan was just "okay," but with the lackluster appetizers and poor service, it really wasn't worth the visit. On top of that, I noticed the owner or manager being extremely rude to other customers who appeared to be voicing concerns about their meals. That was very off-putting and left a bad impression. If you've ever been to college and remember what a cheap, watered-down beer tasted like, that's exactly what my beer reminded me of. It was incredibly bland--no salt, very little seasoning, and almost no flavor. We followed that with a Caesar salad, and I'll give credit where it's due: the Caesar was actually pretty good. Easily one of the better parts of the meal. Then came dinner. I ordered the pistachio and sausage pasta, which sounded fantastic on the menu. What arrived was honestly hard to understand. My wife ordered the beet salad, which arrived essentially "salad-less." She was disappointed as well. I genuinely wanted to like Casa Cotzelli, especially because the restaurant itself has a great atmosphere and the menu sounds promising. Unfortunately, based on our experience, we will not be returning.
