I had a very sub par experience with my moving crew, however, I think the most upsetting part of this experience is the lack of customer service after the move by the manager, Katie. First of all, let me begin by saying, ALEISHA in the office is the only person that has done any sort of follow up. I feel like she is put in the middle of a tough situation, so I want to make it clear that she has been great. Give her a raise. I have moved multiple times with my job and this was the first time I had to contract movers on my own. I was pleased with the quote from Aleisha which was 3 men for 2.75 to 4.75 hours at $249/hour. The weeks leading up to the move, I decided to take it upon myself to move 90% of my things. I emptied all drawers, packed all closets up. And the only remaining items from my rental townhome was my bedroom suit, (dresser, two night stands, queen size tempur bed) a guest bedroom (queen standard bed on a basic bed frame, two empty nightstands from hobby lobby) my couch, and a small 3x3 pub table and four chairs. Literally only the furniture. Because I did all of the pre work, I expected this move to go no more than 4 hours, because the only "big" things were the items in the main bedroom. Well the day of the move came. And I had only two men show up, and it was apparent they were "dragging" to say the least. I have never seen in my 5 moves across the country movers with so little pep in their step. Would you believe it took the guy downstairs 2 hours to bubble wrap the small pub table and chairs? They also took 2 smoke breaks. Once we finally got to my new house they ended up knocking into my new walls and causing three gouges, and multiple scuff marks. When they packed up my old space they insisted on taking apart the pub table.. when I showed them where it went in the new house,, they "couldn't get it back together" so they left it in pieces. My 78 year old father screwed it together just fine the same day. Unreal. almost 7 hours they wrapped up and left. 7 hours! I should have just done it myself. So, I ended up for the first time calling the office to bring up my experience. The call went very well. Katie (the manager) asked if they could repair the walls, and also offered a refund for some the total because I was unsatisfied. I appreciated that and agreed. Emailed them pictures of the walls and she told me the refund would post to my account within 10 days. Almost two months later and that refund has never happened. My builder ended up fixing the walls for me, to which I emailed Katie and Aleisha inquiring about the refund and letting them know my walls were an issue they don't need to worry about that. No response. I then realized I didn't email the right email address, so I forwarded the email to the right emails, and Aleisha did respond and said she was forwarding to Katie and putting this in my file. Again, at least she has the decency to respond. It has been almost 2 months and I have never received the money I was promised and not even a phone call or email back from her. What I find amazing about this is when Katie and I spoke, she did say to make sure I left an honest review and to mention how they took care of me after my sub par experience. Let me share our nightmare with you. This is the Brunswick location. Moving day came and the movers showed up 3 hours late. At first the dispatcher called and let us know. So we thought, ok life happens, no big deal. The driver finally called and said they are on there way. The driver sounded a bit off on the phone. He actually sounded as though he was under the influence but we had no idea how right we were. When the movers finally showed up, the first two guys come into the the condo and literally stunk up the entire place. They smelled of weed and could barely comprehend what needed to be done. My daughter and I felt uncomfortable and a little scared of the men that showed up. I asked the movers to get out of the condo and I locked the door behind them. We called dispatch right away and advised them of the situation. We demanded a new crew. Their response shocked us to the core. The dispatcher said they are booked for the rest of the day and that the manager will come out to supervise the move. We asked how are you okay with them staying on the clock in the condition they were in. These guys could barely walk straight, we couldn't let them anywhere near our furniture. The worst part of this whole thing is that we never received an apology. This is all absolutely unacceptable. We are sick to our stomach knowing that these guys are on the road putting other drivers in jeopardy. The manager was totally ok with them finishing out the job and being on the road in this condition. Wow!! Just wow!!! Thank God we found another local moving company that was efficient and reliable. They also charged a fraction of the price. I would never recommend this company to anyone. We finally got our deposit back after 2 weeks and a few phone calls. read more

I requested a quote online to see how much it would cost me. They required my name, email and phone number. As a rule I will always include the name of the buisness in my name to make sure my information isn't being stolen. Low and behold several other moving companies are contacting "2movers" about my move. On top of that signing up for the quote doesn't give you the quote. They just tell you to call them at the end anyway. So this company is perfectly okay selling your information to anyone who will buy it read more

I am truly so sorry that I utilized these movers. The two men they sent are very slow ... there are no appliances or heavy furniture being moved and this will still cost more than it should. They walked in the mulch ruining it and were condescending and rude when speaking to me. Nothing I can do now except let everyone know how horrible this move was. My brother hired them to move my 76 year old mother to an Assisted Living facility in May 2022. During the move, a glass panel on her curio cabinet was broken (no worries, these things happen). I was told that they would return the cabinet to us in about a week completely repaired. It was repaired and returned about 2 months later---but the glass shelves and clips were missing. Now we cannot get a return phone call about those items or replacing them. My mom has not been able to unpack 8-10 boxes in her very small apartment. It's infuriating! read more

Finally have some time to write this review. Twice in the past, I used Two Men and a Truck for my moving needs and was very satisfied with their service. For my recent move request (June of this year), I couldn't have been more disappointed with the Brunswick office. In mid-June, my wife and I contacted Two Men and a Truck to assist with our apartment move. We worked with Katie, the Sales Manager of the Brunswick office, and she managed to schedule our move for the coming weekend. On June 16th, she performed Virtual Walkthrough of our soon-to-be vacant apartment with my wife. She viewed the entire apartment, discussed box requirements, and even parking availability. She told her that everything was in order, and that she would be sending us an email later that day, which would include an estimate of the work, the time the workers would be arriving, and a few other important details. Unfortunately, we never received that email. We called the Brunswick office the next morning (June 17th), hoping to speak with Katie, just to confirm that everything was still in order. Katie was not in the office yet, so Casey had picked up the phone. We provided her with the details above, and while we waited for Katie to reach the office, Casey took a moment to look up our information. To our great surprise, Casey informed us that, not only were we Not on the schedule for that weekend, but that she had no record of us in the system. I explained to Casey that, since Katie had confirmed our moving slot, we had scheduled friends and family to assist with our move. Casey then informed us that the mentioned time slot was filled and that there were no other open slots for several weeks. I asked for an exception to be made, as we were scheduled by Katie earlier that week, and were assured that everything was in order. This is when Casey started to get very short with me, stating that a deposit should have been made beforehand, in order to guarantee a moving slot. I explained that Katie never mentioned a deposit (which we would have been happy to pay), and as it had been over 5 years since my last move, I didn't remember this detail. She continued to cut me off mid-sentence, and began implying that we were lying to her, threatening to "review Katie's call logs" to make sure we were telling the truth. She ended the call by telling me she would be closely reviewing their call logs and would have Katie call us back when she reached the office. We never received any calls from your office and decided to go with another moving company; A to Z Moving and Driving. If you were wondering, they were kind, helpful, and understanding. To be very clear, I am 36 years old, and in all my life, I have NEVER had a Customer Service Representative be so rude and condescending to me before. Not only did your company do NOTHING to correct the issue you caused, you blamed it on us, and called us liars in the process. What a low and ugly way to treat people who are trying to pay you for your service. Never again. read more

These people are pieces of crap and deserve to be jailed. They have absolutely no professionalism and zero respect for their customers or their belongings. They deliberately damaged nearly every piece of furniture I own, charged me twice the estimate and have stonewalled when asked to comply with their written policy regarding those damages. The details: I was moving into a 730 sq ft condo so didn't have much furniture to move, no appliances at all, didn't take the bed. I had everything pre-packed. Every drawer, every cabinet and closet was packed up. The movers told me they had never seen anyone so prepared. The elevator was reserved for them ahead of time, the building's biggest elevator with a 10 foot high ceiling. I was standing at the elevator on my floor and saw that the three stooges had stacked my wood furniture up to that 10 foot ceiling without putting a single blanket in between any of the pieces. Of course anyone knows an elevator will jolt and shake a bit and they had a truck fully stocked with blankets. They were stacked to the truck's ceiling, so why didn't they use some of them to protect my pieces? By then the damage was done. Nearly every wood and leather piece not just scratched but gouged. Seven wooden pieces and two leather pieces including a brand new leather couch, all very badly scratched. Dining room table horribly ruined. As far as I'm concerned, this was deliberate. They charged me twice the estimate. The estimate ranged from $487.75 to 845.75. I was billed $1,143.75 mainly due to them taking way too long to move the stuff. They had this elevator reserved to them. They never had to wait for it and there wasn't that much furniture. I believe they squandered their time. As if all that isn't enough disrespect, they add insult to injury when I tried getting them to follow their own written policy regarding damages. In their receipt it states that in the event of damage, "Two Men and a Truck will contact you within two (2) business days to make arrangements to repair damages." But I've called them twice a week for months only to be told the various stories: a) We can't get a hold of the guy who does the repairs. b) Someone will contact you within a week to make arrangements to inspect the damage. c) Could you please re-text those 30 pictures one more time? (I did, multiple times) It's all just stonewalling. They do nothing but give lip service. There is no accountability for the movers and management takes no responsibility for the damages they cause. read more

I booked the Brunswick team to move my home. The day before I received a text message saying they overbooked and we had to move us out 3 days or cancel. I never received a call to discuss. It was very unprofessional. read more

I hired them to move just furniture 2 beds (queen & full) (Full bed was disassembled) 2 dressers 2 nightstands 1 chest Cat tree 2 pantries bookcase (I previously removed all the shelves) lateral filing cabinet TV Stand Cedar Chest They could not get my daughters headboard up the steps so they left in the living room (I removed the legs and took it up myself) nor could they get my box spring upstairs also left in the living room (my daughter and her father got it up the steps) I put my bed back together Was quoted between $500 - $700 Took them 71/2 hours and ended up costing me $879.00 Moved 35 minutes away (travel time for them should have been charged around 1 hr 15 min) Called them to dispute the charge, was told they would review and call me back. Called weeks in advance to get a quote estimate and requested an in person walk thru which they declined. Instead, they showed up today unprepared without any boxes or personnel capable of packing things. They just left my house with only a portion of my things and the management stated "we never quoted anything about packing". The quote clearly states 25-50 boxes need packed and moved. They are now not willing to send out another crew to help with the additional things and we need to be out by 5pm. Never use this company, they are trash. read more

Moved this Memorial Day weekend and used Two Men and a Truck. Showed up on time, incredibly friendly and courteous. Treated my home and items with respect. Wrapped everything. Took 4 hours to pack-up my 3 bedroom home, and only 2 to unpack. Took everything apart, and put it back together perfectly. Cost was reasonable. I will definitely use them again. read more

Where do I start. Well the only up side was their ability to do my move within 24hrs notice. Now on to the bad stuff. First, the 2 movers didn't lay down moving blankets on my hardwood floors. Then they carry more than they should and broke my wife's irreplaceable music box, given by her Grandma. Ok, accidents happen. Right? Well then I go into one of the bedrooms and open the closet to find another belonging broken and tossed inside, out of view by itself. They tried to hide this from me!! Unacceptable!!! I called the Brunswick office and explained what happened to a manager. She was apologetic and said she would look into it. A week passes and I didn't hear back. I call again, only to find that nobody had any knowledge of my complaint. I AGAIN...explain the situation and was offered apologies. I paid $511.70 for 3.5hrs of moving. That was unacceptable by my standards. The manager had no idea how to handle this since I declined their ridiculous $120 insurance policy. I mentioned offering me 15% off my final bill in hopes that I would give them another try. You know...customer service 101 kinda stuff. I was finally given that as a solution.
