Fantastic experience. Carter & Franklin are the Kareem & Magic of moving furniture. I've never seen anything like it before. Seriously these guys are the dream team. They moved everything we needed and even things we forgot about - all in less time than we had allotted. Not only that, but they treated every piece like they were moving their grandmother's furniture for her. And there was absolutely no piece that was too heavy or unwieldy for these guys, we were amazed at how they made giant pieces of furniture move like Tetris pieces around the house. Please do not have this company move your furniture. The movers were unable to get my bed apart. Blamed it on the company that put the bed together. Two days later the manager and the same mover came to take the bed apart and move it. The mover that wasn't trained properly to take down my bed had an attitude when he returned. It's not my fault he wasn't able to to his job the 1st time. It was extremely awkward. Now I'm more than a month in and I'm unable to contact someone to file a claim on my leather couch they damaged. read more

We hired Two Men and A Truck to help us move an hour away My mother and I are disabled and we had only my daughter here to help us. We packed what we could and when the guys got here they did a walk through to see what they had to work with and of course as with any move things are gonna be packed and ready to be put into the truck out of place and it was a maze and they refused the job we got a call they couldn't handle it and they left. I used them to move my things into storage. I was happy with the receptionist Virginia , so I thought. I told her I had two beds with queen size mattress I needed about 12 wardrobe boxes , 15 smaller boxes, a large dresser with a mirror , two end tables , mirrors, a tv and a medium sized dresser. Now all of that and she gave me a quote in the 600s.Really ? Ok. Seemed a little too good to be true So the day of the move the movers are an hour late, I call the store and they call the movers who tell me they are on the way.So they get here they are nice and professional and they DIDNT know they to pack and apologized for being late. .They were cool about it , they were fast very gentle and moved everything into the storage unit. So needless to say since they didn't know they had to pack , my tv box and mattress cover weren't included. So at the storage place I had to purchase a tv box and mattress covers since it wasn't included with them. Annoying. So the move lasted from 10 30 am -7 pm. I ended up paying about 600 over the quoted amount. Overall i am happy and will using them to move me out of storage I would request the two movers I had , jasaun and Tyler. They were great. Just wish the receptionist would have listened more to what I had or maybe not used that tactic to under quote me. read more

Well, I stayed quiet as long as I could, but this company is by far the worst you could ever hire to move your belongings. Number one, they don't talk to you during the move, and make decisions based upon what they want to do totally, regardless of the consequences. The one example I know is that they were hired to pack my kitchen. They were totally unprepared to move to the new location without checking cabinets empty and cabinets or packing properly what was in the cabinets once pointed it out to them. Not only that, they did significant damage to my furniture which is yet to be resolved. I would never consider them as movers on any level. I was convinced that three men could do it quicker and better than two. Unfortunately that cost me an extra $1,000 plus damaged much of my belongings due to inappropriate and unprofessional handling as well as improper packing of my kitchen furnishings. Inappropriate nudes and comments by the staff, they laxidasical and I don't care approach to my move, and inappropriate expectations of myself, due to the fact that they made mistakes, and I pointed them out, but yet I had to correct the mistakes in order to make the move complete, IE, repack my belongings, return to my former residents to retrieve furniture they left behind, and, without any apology whatsoever, except the fact that "sorry that's just the way it is" comment. Good phone interview, good pre-visit - told our piano and Sleep Number bed would be no problem. Then packing day, inadequate supplies, didn't finish, half of kitchen left undone. Moving day, piano and SN bed suddenly a problem, won't do them. Talked them into moving the piano, had to disassemble/reassemble bed myself. Ran out of materials, couldn't finish packing kitchen (this is day 2, packing was supposedly the day before). Not out of old house until 4:00 pm. Finished unloading new house at midnight. Workers surly at overtime, careless. Lots of damage, mostly furniture (some antique), broken glass, bad attitudes. Major damage to hardwood floor in old house. Promised the claim would "make it good." Sent a guy to fix gouges in antique furniture with stain and putty. Damaged finish on dining room table with the "repair." Was Offered $200 for kitchen floor hardwood repair (old house) estimated as a $1500-2000 re-finish by my chosen vendor. Sent estimates from my vendors, told they weren't "approved" vendors and wouldn't be considered. Asked for list of "approved" vendors, received nothing. Not responding to emails or calls, I think hoping I'll just go away. working up paperwork for magistrate court. I paid them over $7000, they owe approximately $2700 back, and if they'd paid it and let me choose the repair vendors we'd be done and all would be forgiven. But they won't. Don't want to be long-winded but I had to do a review. Service was terrible--2 very unprofessional workers came, didn't utilize the dolly but sparingly (just to spread out the $135 per our and juice me out of all my $$), changed time on me prior to coming the day prior, broke my property, and had the audacity to be upset when we complained about everything. Mind you, I never received an apology about the broken furniture--they just assured me that the insurance will handle it. Right! Whomever this Asa guy is (supervisor), you definitely need to revamp your HR department. SMDH! read more

Although I would say your service may depend on your crew of guys, the management overseeing this location is pure poop. Disrespectful and condescending. I know movers do hard work so I tip well and it's worth the price. However yesterday I had a crew of men moving me into a storage unit. It was all on my intake paperwork. An hour into wrapping my furniture I asked if they knew this was going into a unit and they looked at me dumbfounded. Explaining now they would need to unwrap and rewrap my belongings in paper wrapping (at cost to me). After a call to management, the packing paper was comped. Since two men charges by the hour there was also an issue on how much time would be taken to fix their oversight. I was told a running time would be taken at the storage unit. The men arrived at the unit, after lunch. I was given 30 minutes off for their lunch stop. and half the crew was assigned to unwrapping and rewrapping the furniture while the others moved things into the unit. This significantly slowed down my move time and no "rewrapping" time was accounted for. When I called management to discuss what they were planning to do to adjust the time, no responsibility was taken at all. They said I should have preplanned with them before my move with what packing materials were needed. My intake paperwork listed every piece of furniture that was going. Tables, TVs, frames, are kind of a given to be wrapped. Huge missed opportunity on their part, as my things are moving from storage to the new house in 2 weeks. Lewis and Ashley the management were completely useless is assuming any responsibility for mistakes made or time wasted. Lewis is disrespectful and condescending. I urge you not to use this company to move anything you care about. read more

Our experience with Two Men & a Truck was very positive. The 3 guys they sent were very professional, friendly, and took excellent care of our belongings. They were on time and worked hard the entire time. We've moved several times over the last few years and these guys were by far the best. read more
