I chose Firehouse Movers because of their glowing Google reviews, and their initial estimate was very competitive. Unfortunately, the final bill was a complete shock. To begin with, they insisted on a virtual estimate and refused to come out in person and assess the job. This was a 5000 sq ft home full of furniture, and I wanted the most accurate estimate possible. I asked multiple times for an in-person estimate, but my requests were declined. By moving day, I had sold two-bedroom sets and several other large pieces of furniture that were included in the original estimate. Even with significantly fewer items to move, the final price was more than double the original estimate. On the day of the move, I somehow went from needing two trucks, as stated in the estimate, to four. And from 9 to 17 total man hours. At the end of a long day, my husband just wanted them gone, so he reluctantly paid the bill before they could log anymore hours. When I called to discuss the bill, Firehouse claimed I had verbally approved the additional associated costs over the phone, citing a recording, which was completely false. I have asked multiple times for this recording, but I have not received it. That was not a small miscalculation. Our move was grossly underestimated. This whole experience felt misleading and dishonest. Stay away.

Our experience was quite different. I understand that the owners of this company are not present for the moves so they may be unaware, but these movers seemed to be amateurs. After the move was completed, the movers left their trash on the curb of our home, including water bottles, and also left partially empty tea bottles inside the house. That alone showed a lack of professionalism and respect for a client's home. During the move, they spent time talking on their phones, which slowed the process down. Several items were also left behind at the original house, forcing us to travel back after the move was completed to retrieve them. Many pieces of furniture were not placed in the correct rooms, which caused additional frustration and ultimately required us to hire another set of hands to help reorganize and move items properly. There was also damage to our belongings. My daughter's $400 dollhouse was broken during the move, mirrors were not attached back to the bedroom sets, and the bed was not put together properly. In addition, multiple parts of our furniture were left at the old house. To make matters even more concerning, my wedding ring also went missing during the move. This entire situation created far more stress than relief on what was already a very demanding day. I explained that as we hired movers specifically to make moving large items easier and less stressful. Unfortunately, this experience was the complete opposite. I truly hope the company takes these concerns seriously and improves their professionalism, accountability, and care when handling customers' homes and belongings. The owner Kristy reached back out after I left a vm and she credited one hour due to certain complaints expressed but after the movers left, we found several other issues. Christine was absolutely amazing with scheduling the move but there has been no follow up since I've expressed several other concerns.

The lack of communication and poor customer service from start to finish was shocking. My move was scheduled for a Sunday afternoon. I was told the movers had another job earlier that day but coming later that afternoon would not be a problem. Suddenly they finished early and decided they wanted to come much earlier than agreed. That was never the plan. Then the pricing policies were not clearly explained when I booked the move. Later they tried to tell me about hourly and weight charges after the fact. That is something that should be clearly explained when a customer books the service, not later on when confusion already exists. Because things were not handled properly, I had to speak with another operations manager who finally explained the procedures and rebooked the move correctly. But then the truck broke down at their location before they even left to come to my house. Instead of communicating properly with me, the company went ahead and scheduled my move for Monday without my approval or even telling me. I never agreed to a Monday move. Today (Tuesday) I called the McKinney location and spoke with the manager, Jenson, to address everything that happened. Instead of trying to resolve the situation professionally, he had a terrible attitude. When I told him his employees were rude and lacked customer service, he responded by saying, "What are you on the phone with me for? What are we doing right now?" What we're doing is simple. I want my refund and I will never use this company again. Between the miscommunication, hidden policies, truck issues, rescheduling without permission, and rude management, this was one of the worst service experiences I have had.

One of the movers later stated that he had noticed damage to the TV box when he unloaded the tv from POD but did not bring it to my attention at the time, which was very disappointing. However, the owner Joey, took the situation seriously and handled it with genuine empathy and accountability. I was extremely frustrated from the move (it's really a lot to handle) and Joey was kind and patient as he listed to me explain what happened. He suspended the team member involved, made it clear that he wanted to put the customer first, and worked with me to make things right. After I provided the original receipt for my TV, he sent me a check for its full original purchase price and did not waste time to go through insurance. I didn't buy additional insurance, so at most if Joey had went through insurance, I would have received $40/$50 back for my tv at $0.60/lb. He said he wanted to make sure we reached an agreement that felt fair. I truly appreciate Joey's customer first mindset. Although the damage was frustrating, I greatly appreciated how Joey responded. He's been in business for 25 years and stated that accidents happen and what he cares for the most is customer satisfaction. His integrity, compassion, and willingness to stand behind his company ultimately left me with a positive impression. I would highly recommend Eagle Movers and I will definitely be using their services again in the future!

In the beginning the communication was just ok but I figured he was just busy so I didn't worry about it. Blake personally came to my home to give me an estimate, he was very cordial and I got a good feeling about him and his company. I was provided a written estimate $5400 and decided to go with his company. The day prior to the move he and his crew showed up to pack up the trucks, they left a few things so we had a place to sleep and planned on an early arrival the next morning to pack the final few things and get on the road. They were over an hour late but when they finally arrived we got on the road quickly. Blake was supposed to be there but was absent due to a sick child. The head of the moving crew was Ronnie and he was very kind and on top of things. The move went great, they worked quickly and got everything set up, or so I thought. That night when I went to bed something was wrong with the bed. After flipping the bed over I discovered they had taken the legs off the bed to get it in the room and didn't put the bed back together properly and the bed broke. This is an expensive adjustable bed. I reached out to Blake the next morning and he said they would get right on it. That was March 21,2025 and today is June 13, 2025 and nothing has been resolved. Blake passed on the issue to Ronnie and he initially tried to resolve the issue however I was not satisfied with the offer of $250 to replace a bed that cost in excess of $1000. There have been a multitude of texts back and forth and nothing has been resolved. There have been promises made of a replacement of a much cheaper bed frame that I agreed to accept but still as of this date no resolution has happened. 10 days ago I reached out to Blake and he was under the impression it had been resolved and assured me he would have the bed shipped out that week to me. As of today still nothing. I have requested updates and he has not responded . Due to their lack of follow through I can't recommend this company for your moving needs. Don't let their kindness fool you. in order to resolve this issues I will now have to take him to small claims court, which just stinks to have to go that route.

I just want to start off by saying this review is being written based off my experience with Justin during booking. I haven't been moved yet so I will update this after my move. Three weeks ago I booked with another company (All My Sons) and paid a $100 deposit. They told me 2 days prior to my move, they would call to provide the time window for the move. Today, 2 days before my move date they call to cancel me since they overbooked. Distressed and feeling hopeless I called Two Men and a Truck. I knew 2 days prior to a Saturday was a long shot but I had to try. I spoke with a young lady who told me no they didn't have any openings. I asked if they had any contacts for other local movers they could refer me to. She asked to place me on hold so she could go check. Justin came back on the phone. I explained what had happened with the other movers and I was desperate for a referral or something. Justin stated they really didn't have the availability on the scheduled but he wanted to help. He penciled me in for the last part of the day. The level of customer service just during the booking process has shown me this company cares! Please avoid All My Son's (unless you want unwarranted stress and headaches). Update: the move is over! This company did a fabulous job handling my items with care. They were prompt on arrival time and even completed the job faster than originally quoted. I will use them for future moves! read more

I went to an estate sale in my neighborhood to bring home some furniture. The items were too big to fit in my van, but the movers were there to haul away everything that didn't sell. These two men, Grant and Drory, went out of their way to wrap and load my items and drive them to my residence (just a block away) on their way out and unload to my house. I hope they are well compensated by their company and the hiring customer, but I made sure that they were at least tipped well. They were extremely polite and helped me in ways I didn't think of without being asked. Also very knowledgeable about the make of the furniture and how to transport it without causing damage. They even pointed out a missing support bracket on the back leg of a heavy armoire that I hadn't noticed. Without their help, I would have had to go rent a truck and the estate manager would have been waiting on me all day to get the truck and some friends to assist with the lifting. These two men really blessed our family. Super thankful. read more

Though I was not initially impressed with the price, my estimate was surprisingly accurate, and the moving team ended up convincing me that it was money well spent. Most of my belongings are nothing special, but the movers handled everything carefully and while I usually expect minor damages with a move, I've found none at all. All three of the movers that helped me worked very hard all day in 104 degree heat, and remained professional and accommodating the whole time. Because of them, I felt that the service was a great value, and I will definitely recommend using TWO MEN in the future. read more

I've been using Two Men and a Truck for almost 2 decades now, and have never had a bad experience (5 moves? 6?). We moved my father into a retirement facility today, and Jorge and Wyatt were exceptionally courteous and professional and handled his belongings with utmost care. We requested a crew of three movers, but they showed up with four. One of the crew members appeared to be very young and inexperienced, possibly under 17. Instead of helping move items efficiently, he spent a long time trying to dismantle a crib with a screwdriver. I politely suggested that they simply move the crib without taking it apart, since it would save time. Apparently, he didn't appreciate the suggestion and went to speak with the crew leader. To my surprise, the entire crew stopped working and refused to continue until I left my daughter's house. They claimed it was because of "liability," but they couldn't clearly explain what liability they were referring to. We ended up losing about 45 minutes before they finally resumed the move. The entire experience was very unprofessional. Before the job started, everyone was friendly, but once they began working, the pace was extremely slow. It often felt like they were moving one small item at a time instead of working efficiently. A four-person crew took nearly the entire day to move the contents of a four-bedroom house less than a mile away. Based on our experience, I cannot recommend Step-by-Step Moving & Delivery. If you're looking for movers who work efficiently and professionally, I would suggest considering other companies. This photo shows the moving crew standing around instead of working. We waited nearly 45 minutes while the job was at a standstill after I politely suggested a faster way to move a crib.

I contracted Out of the Box Moving and requested a 2-man team to move a 3 bedroom house. Donald and his colleague were efficient between moving out of my old house into my new house. They took care of the cushioning and wrapping for certain items such as the sofa, dining table top, and filing cabinet to prevent damage during transport. They also disassemble and reassemble any furniture that requires it. Everything went smoothly from contracting through final payment for services. Will definitely work with OOTB Moving again for future moving needs.
