The movers arrived at 9:00 AM without any equipment and did not begin packing until about 20 minutes later after returning to their truck. Once everything was loaded and they were ready to leave at 10:20 AM, the new house was only about a 15-minute drive away. However, they did not arrive until 10:57 AM. This resulted in nearly an extra hour added to our bill due to unnecessary delays, which felt like the time was intentionally stretched. Additionally, scuffs and dents were left on the walls. I was told these would be fixed by the end of the day on the 12th, but they still have not been repaired. We called yesterday to follow up on the repairs and to have someone look into why it took so long to arrive at the delivery location, but we have not received any response from Two Men and a Truck. read more

the slowest most irresponsible group I have ever come across in my moving experiences. 45% of my belongings are either broken scratched or discolored caused me great pain. They are the most horrible. I don't know where they move, but the only thing they need to pick up. read more

Pre-ordered a detailed move and scheduled an afternoon block of time for the move day. Two Men and a Truck repeatedly called the day before and the morning of move attempting to change the scheduled afternoon time slot. Three inexperienced movers arrived and two of the three movers were moving so slow, a call had to be made to Operations. One mover was seen on ring doorbell camera taking a smoke break while the other two were working. They did not lay any protection paper and damaged hardwood floors. It took one mover 45 minutes to disassemble a bedframe, and then left part of the frame. The Operations Manager, Aaron, lacks credibility and is unethical in resolving the damage caused by the untrained movers. He has threatened to withhold insurance check for damages if an attorney gets involved to resolve dispute. read more

A dresser had damage they claimed was from the elevator door, I believe it happened from something rubbing up against it. They dropped the piece hard at my old residence and gouged the parquet floor twice. I asked what would be done about it  repairs? Was told "I don't know I just put it in my report". I Have not been contacted regarding the damage. So its been two days and no contact by company.   Today I unpacked the last of my boxes and one labeled very fragile had 7 broken crystal stemware pieces. Each was wrapped in bubble wrap and the box was stuffed with newspaper. They had to of thrown my box with force to the ground for that to happen. I am very upset with how careless these movers were with my belongings. Update, one week later, I was contacted by a very rude person who accepted no responsibility for my damages. This was prefers the worst moving company that I have dealt with. The drivers were suppose to unload the pods at the pods facility and onto there truck. The drivers took 5 hours to do that moving mostly one piece at a time. Items like exercise equipment, stuff animals or anything not in boxes they would not take. That is apart of moving. After I contact the office and the office manager came out the driver said he was going home because I complained on him. He was just going quit while loaded the truck so unprofessional to do such a thing. It took them almost 10 hours for a 4 to 5 hour job. I have to make 3 trips on my own to take from the pods facility to my home because of things they won't take and I still have some of my things left in a pods because they won't deliver them for me. To add insult to injury I had to help them unload some of my things because they were moving like turtles. Stuff bears, desk, a tire, a table. Vacuum because they weren't in boxes. They charged me almost $2000 for a $500 job. I had not problem paying the $995 that was quoted to me if there was more professionalism and they acted like I was a paying customer. The operations manager Davin stated he would give me a discount because he had to come up to the pods to talk to his crew for a stop the crew made after leaving to stop off and pick up another helper and for them to get lunch. That never happened!!!! Not to mention that Davin threatened to unload my things because I was complaining to him about the poor service. I had sever people witness this situation an couldn't believe how he treated me. After all the taking pictures that the driver did for damages prior to them loading my things in the truck. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! I've moved 10 times across the US and this by far is the worst. "Fragile" boxes thrown on the ground. Furniture scratched. TV cracked with tape on the glass front. The operations guy called me back to say basically I signed a non liability form which means that they can be as reckless as possible and still not be held accountable, oh and it was a long move so stuff tends to happen. Oh and I may not have paid for enough cloth to wrap all the items so the tv may not have been wrapped but they prioritized wrapping canvass pictures over an expensive tv. They will get you moved but your property may not look the same when it arrives. I was harassed by the men that moved me. They were unprofessional and inappropriate. They made comments about my appearance and suggested all my kids friends hit on me. What in the world?? They didn't not wrap or move my to expensive skirted glider chairs properly. They are ruined and they want to offer me $150 off my move or have them cleaned. I opted to have them cleaned they look better but not how the started this move. The chairs are a few years old hardly been sat in. They want to give me some insurance money and pick up the chairs. The number is so far from what I paid for them. Idk where you can buy 2 chairs for the amount they want to give. The have admitted they chairs where not moved correctly however that's their only option to make it right. Jerome Clark was extremely professional and explained all the documentation I had to sign. Their team showed up and was very quick and handled the equipment with care. Mr. T. More and Mr. McDaniel made sure the equipment was counted correctly and placed in a way that would prevent damage in the truck during travel. Everyone double checked behind each other and made sure I was satisfied with the delivery before leaving. Everything was completed in a few hours which is what I valued the most. read more

This is the most unprofessional and unregulated moving service I have ever used. Workers intentionally slowed packing to increase amount to be paid. Management uncaring about resolving sense of urgency with working. Manager asked me to pay bill before job was complete and then instructed workers to unload furniture because I would not settle payment before work was complete. If you use this company you are a fool. I will be lodging a formal complaint with the Memphis Better Business Bureau. Terrible service and terrible customer service. read more

The office staff were excellent. Strong customer service skills, good documentation, good communications and good follow-up and during the job quality control. Prices were excellent. Excellent value and quotes were exact and complete. Moving equipment (van truck) in good condition and sufficient for move. Moving crew and crew chief, polite, properly dressed for the job. Moving equipment was present and sufficient for the move. Crew exercised extreme care, listened to my concerns and their customer care was thorough and compassionate. They did get most of our stuff to the new house and the guys were polite but they damaged several items and broke the glass on a table and picture frame. They promised to correct but it has been two years and no response. I would not recommend them. read more

I called to schedule a move, paid the $125.00 down payment and was told "I had 48 hours to cancel the move and the 125 would be deposited back into my account". The following day I decided to go with uhaul and do it myself, but when I called to cancel the move, I was then informed the 48 hours were conveniently measured in business days. This would have been very good information on the front end, but now I am out $125.00 and I am stuck with two men and their damn truck. STAY AWAY! Man! I wish I had come here and read these reviews before I chose them. I was given an estimate of $475. Immediately upon showing up the movers said "whoever completed your estimate had no idea what they were doing." But of course at that point I was stuck, as I had to move that day. My total ended up being $698.93 a massive difference of $223. I would shy away from using them in Memphis. I understand an estimate is just that, a quote or estimate. But I turned down other offers far cheaper than $698. Upon filing a claim I was called Monday 8/12/19 and told "I will call you back tomorrow." It is now Friday 8/16/19 and I have still heard nothing. Completely unprofessional. If you're looking for movers at a reasonable rate that will be honest look elsewhere. Unfortunately my experience with Two Men & A Truck was absolutely terrible. They showed up 7 hours late to begin the move. When they finally arrived, each one of the guys doing the move smelled heavily of marijuana. They also brought a truck that they admitted right away, was too small. They loaded my belongings into the truck quickly, but couldn't fit everything due to the truck size. They also slightly damaged my dining table (not bad enough to make a claim though). The truck and I left in our separate vehicles to go to the storage facility I was moving my belongings to. It is a 15 minute drive. I arrived at the storage facility and an hour later the truck was still not there. Apparently they had driven to a different city! I made the decision to end the move for the night. The storage facility was closing shortly. Today, they arrived at the new time we scheduled to unload into the storage unit. They got that done in about an hour. During this horrible experience I must say, the manager, Ed Harris, was wonderful to work with. He was very apologetic, sent an additional man to help expedite the move, gave me his personal cell phone number, discounted the move heavily, and thanked me for my patience. My family needed to move across country, so I called Two Men and a Truck because my wife had used them in the past and spoke highly of them. We would use them to help load our moving truck. Our experience with them was absolutely terrible. The team of three men who came to our house were sullen and unfriendly from the get go. The leader did a very quick walk-through the house and immediately informed us that all of our stuff would not fit in the truck (it did, with 5-6 feet of cargo space to spare). They complained and asked us when they would be finished. I ended up hauling many pieces from the shed because the leader refused to walk through the mud to get to the shed to retrieve the final items. They moved our items with no clear plan. They left bulky furniture, like a large chair, in the hallway and tried to navigate around it with chests of drawers and mattresses instead of simply moving it out of the way into the living room. My wife and I had to constantly tell them what to do, and we felt that we did entirely too much hand-holding for a professional company. They did not properly load anything on the truck, and at the end they started tossing boxes and smaller items on top of the heap without any tie-down. They did not inform us that we should use restraining straps, so when we opened the truck at our destination, we found that many items had fallen, shifted, and were crushed or damaged by other items on top. In Memphis, we lived two minutes from a Home Depot and we would have been happy to buy whatever items they thought were necessary to secure our truck, but they provided no guidance about this and did not communicate this possibility with us. About a week after the loading, I called to complain about the service and a manager told me he would investigate and get back to me at a specific time two days later. I never received a call back. This company does not care about its customers. I left two stars because it was pouring down rain and they quickly emptied our house and loaded the furniture and boxes and I felt it was heartless to leave just one star. My family and I recently moved to Memphis, TN and needed help unloading our large rented moving van. After doing an online search and making some calls, Two Men and a Truck had the best price. The operator with whom I spoke was professional and pleasant. Imagine our surprise when the two men, Ian and Shane, arrived at our house the afternoon of "unloading day". Their manner was quiet and terse. They tried to hurry me through the signing of the preliminary paperwork. When I paused to read it they assured me it was in order. I read it anyway. After signing, I gave the young men the tour of the house and the truck. I knew we had only two hours so I wanted the unloading to go as efficiently as possible. And therein lay my error. It is extraordinary how slow these 20-something men worked. They took one, perhaps two, boxes at at time and slowly walked down the ramp of the truck, placing the boxes into the house. They advised me that that job may go as long as three hours (necessitating an additional $109). I assured them that we would require their services for only two hours. They wanted to move the lighter boxes first, leaving the heavy furniture to the end. I asked them to start with the heavy furniture (essentially the reason we hired them in the first place). Reluctantly they approached the furniture in the truck, stood looking at it, and slowly lifted each piece into the house. At one point they had some difficulty moving a piece upstairs. One of the movers started to cuss. This bothered me because two of my four children were in the vicinity at the time. Later, a box marked "fragile" was dropped by the other mover. They glanced at my wife and I quickly and scooped the box and its now tinkling contents swiftly onto a dolly. Now that I think about it, this was the fastest they moved during the entire two hours. We used Two Men and A Truck many years ago to move. The day that we moved, my daughter's school had flooded and i had to go and get her from school and could not watch the movers. I had left several rings on my dresser, thinking i would take them with me, but was distracted by having to get my daughter. After the move, i went back to our empty house to search for my rings. I found my small one, but my wedding ring was gone. I have no proof but im sure one of the movers took it. I searched high and low everywhere on my knees looking for it. I never found it. They also broke our computer desk in several places. I will never use them ever again. read more

I had a very bad experience this time. The movers did not care about my furniture at all. Most of my furniture was scratched or broken. The company did not use enough blankets to protect the furniture and did not care. I paid a substantial amount of money to move from Memphis to Maryland thinking that Two Men and a Truck was going to care. They visited my house and provided a written quote of $1,100. On the day of the move, they wanted $1,700. They claim they sent, after the initial deposit was made, a "pre-move" letter which apparently lets them just increase the price by over 60%. read more

I selected this company after comparing them to 2 other moving companies. I was told to pay a $100 deposit to secure my move and it would be deducted from my total upon completion of my move. My items were under 1000 pounds but I was rates for 2500 pounds per the driver supervising the job when it was time to pay. I questioned my deposit because it did not show on the invoice. The driver called supervisor who states "the $100 wasn't a deposit but a transit fee from their warehouse to my home." I asked how is that when it was verified with your office that it was a deposit and would be taken off at the conclusion of my move. He was short and said she may have misspoke. Please do not use this company for moving. I would have paid more if it meant getting the truth instead of being lied to by the company! In the end I was over charged, under delivered and lied too by one company in the same day!! read more

I needed a heavy china cabinet over from one at red of my house to another. I called to see if this company provided this service as it is very dIffIcult to find someone that will come to your house to move only one piece of furniture around within your home. I was delighted to find out they would complete this service for me and even more delighted that they could get to me the next day. Office staff were professional and courteous and movers were experienced and courteous. They arrived already knowledgeable about my move and came with the proper equipment for my move. Very satisfied and would recommend to anyone. Would use again in the future. read more

I've moved many times before, and no other time was as inexpensive yet careful with my belongings. The movers took great care of my things, and they worked quickly. Who knew moving could NOT make you want to pull all your hair out?!​ I was a little concerned at the beginning when they were loading the truck--that took the vast majority of the time and only one man seemed to be loading (the other was in the truck). Despite telling them I lived on the 3rd floor, I guess the second man wasn't ready for all the steps. However, unloading was fast and easy. They put my furniture where I wanted it, and even moved it again when I decided I didn't like it in the original place. None of my furniture got even a scratch, as far as I can tell. They wrapped everything in blankets and seemed to be very careful. What I paid for this move was half what I paid for my last move (from another local company). I'm very happy overall! Would have given 5 stars if both men worked equally to fill the truck on the load-in (which would have saved me money as well, as it would have cut the time down). They did the work right on time with the estimate I was given, so there were no surprises with total cost. read more

They gave me the absolute worst moving experience of my life, by far! They took 9 hrs to move what they estimated as a 5-hour move. They damaged nearly ALL of my wood furniture, my brand new 3-door Samsung refrigerator, edges of the HDTV, ripped one of my mattresses, scraped the walls of my new place and scratched the hardwoods. Sounds bad? Be glad I can't post pics, otherwise you'd probably write a complaint just for having to see my pics! Oh, and they offered me pennies to fix only a couple of the things I mentioned. For most of the things they said I told them about the damage too late - we're talking 5 days later! Some small print saying you have 96-hours to inform them of all damages... I went back and found this mysterious print on the 18 pages they make you sign before they start (oh but the $240/hr clock is still running, so you better read fast or sign fast), and the wording is not clear at all, but you think they cared? Not a chance. One mover took an hour off to break up with his girlfriend when he should have been moving my things. Another mover told me (in the beginning) to pay him a $200 cash tip for him and his crew, and he'd adjust the hours to be in line with the estimate. I gave him the cash tip and they still overcharged me. Of course I told to director of operations Ed Harris and then owner Drew Bullard about there unprofessional workers (Darrell Dillard was the lead mover) and they both did nothing! I contacted the corporate headquarters, and that turned out to be a COMPLETE waste of time. My things are still damaged and I'm out of $2000. This move should have been under $1200 easily, and I shouldn't have to deal with a 6-inch long scratch in my ($2500) dining room table or dents in my ($3000) Samsung frig, or damage to my sleigh bed, or armoire, or dresser, or entertainment hutch, or mattress, or TV...or 12 other damaged possessions. And yes, I am suing them! Take my advice, don't walk but run fast in the other direction. Im sure they provide decent moving experiences for some people - but why risk it? read more

I hired this company to move me from an 1100 sf apartment into an 1800 sf condo yesterday. The move took a total of 8 hours. This is staggering to me, considering that there were 3 men on the job, I did not have them pack anything, I do not own a lot of stuff (only 3 bedrooms), and 1800 sf is not a huge space. The move was incredibly expensive, due to the time it took. The men took great care to wrap all of my furniture - so one good thing I can say about them is that there was absolutely no damage done to my furniture. But the men were very inexperienced and slow-moving, exhorting me, and each other, to "take your time, take your time" throughout the move. After 7 hours, I finally responded to one of them, "I do not WANT to take my time. Time is money, and this is getting more and more expensive for me, the more time it takes. I would prefer for you to HUSTLE." The move was a miserable experience. It ate up all my spare cash and most the spare time I had planned on having that afternoon to actually get settled in once the movers were through. I will never use this company again or recommend them to anyone. read more

I had a great experience with this small local move. Estimate was prompt and provided a range so I knew what to expect. I hired 2 movers but they sent 3 day of, at no additional cost to me. Movers came in the window provided, called a half hour ahead to let me know they were on the way. The 3 person team had a leader but they all worked cooperatively and the team listened to each other as they suggested best ways to handle various situations. They wrapped carefully, did not give me a hard time as I packed a few extra boxes as they moved furnishings, knew what they were doing as far as getting bulky sleeper sofa out of a tight entryway, etc. The crew was friendly, courteous, professional, and smart in how they approached moving and wrapping items. I have had some rough moves like most people. One of my sons had a not great move with this same company a few years ago. But this move was excellent and so appreciated. Ended up being on the lower end of estimate, helped, of course, by extra person. Zero complaints here. Would/will use again. The team makes all the difference. read more
