I had to pay extra for a 'professional packer' to pack and move my piano. it was the worst packed of everything that was moved. The boxes they moved were dented. Additionally one of the packers pissed all over my toilet and the floor around it. One other thing, keep in mind that the really low price quoted by the sales agent will change - their own foreman apparently tells everyone the amount will increase by 25% which cancels out that discount to got from the 'really nice sales person' Use this company with caution!!!

This doesn't included all the stuff they damaged which I won't write about cause I don't care compared to the missing TV. To top this all off, they tell you insurance is included but don't explain what that means before you sign. The insurance covers 60 cents per pound of the item. So if my TV weighs 100lbs (which it doesn't) they will only give me $60. This is not acceptable. I paid over $1200 for something that you have misplaced, I should be compensated for actual cash value. Do not ever use this company.

There was no extra charge because it was holiday, no extra charge for less than 24 hours notice. The price was less than a couple of competitors I called. I wasn't looking for lowest price, I was looking for ASAP. By calling Yellow Truck Moving, I got both! Brian and Abraham were great. They were very efficient, fast, professional and friendly. They wrapped furniture & make sure boxed things were handled with care. When I tried to help with the little stuff, Brian said they would get it all, I didn't need to do a thing. Brian and Abraham went above and beyond with the move. If I need movers in the future, I will definitely call yellow truck moving and request Brian and Abraham! The company and movers Brian/Abraham are a perfect team. They all work together to accommodate the customer!

We hired College Hunks (Naperville, IL) for a local move between two homes that were only about five minutes apart. Before the move, we answered detailed questions about the size of the homes, the number of rooms, and what needed to be moved. Based on that information, we were given an estimate of approximately 6 hours of work and an expected cost of around $2,000. The reality was very different. The move ended up taking approximately 13 hours--more than double the estimate--and our final bill was nearly $4,000. We were told the extra time was due to a two-story walk-up and a blocked alley entrance, but these explanations do not justify such a massive difference from the estimate we were given. The men on the team also did not inform anyone that they were going on break and we have no idea when they started/stopped their break. To make matters worse, several items were damaged during the move: * The back panel of a dresser was damaged. * The center support leg for that dresser was lost. * A small piano was broken. We submitted a damage claim during the first week of May and have repeatedly attempted to follow up. Despite numerous calls, we have received no meaningful update or resolution. At this point, the lack of communication has been just as frustrating as the damage itself. I understand that estimates can change and that moving is difficult work. What I do not understand is how a move can take more than twice as long as estimated, result in damaged property, and then be followed by weeks of silence when a claim is submitted. All we have asked for is a fair resolution regarding the damages and a reasonable review of the charges. Instead, we have been left chasing answers. Based on our experience, I would strongly encourage anyone considering this company to get every detail in writing, ask detailed questions about how charges are calculated, and carefully document the condition of all belongings before the move.

I informed them ahead of time that I had several items in the basement, including a treadmill, but no one mentioned it would need to be disassembled before moving day. Instead, I was left to disassemble it on the spot and am not even sure I will be able to reassemble it correctly. The crew also caused damage to both the home we left and the home we moved into, including gouges and black marks on walls and a door frame. They also tracked mud into the house. At the destination, numerous items were not placed where they belonged, creating additional work for me after the move. When it started raining, instead of completing the move properly, the crew piled basement items in my garage, blocking access to my car. Those items could have been taken downstairs using the interior stairs, but they chose not to do so and left them for me to deal with. One item is so heavy that I will now have to pay someone else to move it. To make matters worse, my attempts to address these issues with the company have gone unanswered. Overall, this move resulted in property damage, extra work, and additional expense. I expected far better communication, professionalism, and customer service. I would not recommend College Hunks. If I could rate them negative, I would do so.
