The only reason I rate this moving company with 1 star is because a 0 star is not an option. This is the ABSOLUTE worse moving company and is completely UNETHICAL. They sent 5 movers of which 2 had some knowledge about moving the other 3 were pick up day laborer that they called 'trainees' with clearly no experience in moving household furnishing. I stopped them from laying the furniture down on the side and sliding it down the stairs. The stairs are not damaged. I walked through every room and gave them an exact inventory, informed them I would be moving into storage and that I needed to drop a few items at my new address. The 1st day they were still moving at 1:00 am, they informed me I needed to pay that night because they had a number of clients who refused to pay after the furniture was unloaded...what a LIE. The next day a guy who claimed to be a manager came to the storage facility and threatened me - they would keep my furniture - unless I paid the invoice that was almost twice as much as the original estimate. Claimed they had no knowledge of the additional stop, didn't take into consideration the walk or elevator time associated with a move into storage BUT he would go back to the office, listen to the recording and come back to me. I have phoned repeatedly to follow up on the excessive charge and to repair my damaged stairs, there is always some excuse why no one is available. I do plan to file a claim with the BBB, Michigan Consumer Affairs, the TV investigative reporters and any other avenue I can pursue to avoid other consumers being taken by these UNSCRUPULOUS, LYING, INCOMPETENT, BAIT and SWITCH CON ARTIST. With what I experienced yesterday, I can officially say I never had a worse moving experience with a company... Aside from not arriving until 12 as opposed to 10:00 as requested, the movers ran into the cable wire of the housing complex (in the parking lot), knocking it off of the building and leaving the other residence and I without internet or cable. Rather than admit guilt, they proceeded to blame the builders for "hanging them too low." Because they did not initially know that it was the cable and not a power line, I was the one to handle the situation by calling my landlord, DTE, and local police to ensure the hazard would be handled properly, which delayed the start of moving service another 20 minutes. They also left a significant amount of damage to my townhouse including large indented scratches in the hardwood floors, walls, doors, and even left a trail of scraped floor paint in the basement from dragging my storage shelf, which they proceeded to bend and ruin... The movers did NOT use moving quilts (as I was told they would), not did they use the floor protecting furniture sliders which I made available to them. I had explained to the two men that my large, heavy storage shelf could be easily disassembled for transport, and recommended that they do so. However, they ignored my instruction and continued to drag it across the floor, dent the walls and basement door before ultimately bending the metal sides (causing the unit to disassemble), which destroyed my shelving unit. I am APPALLED at what I witnessed yesterday and even more outraged that they had the audacity to request a tip and recommend that I request the same two people to move my stuff in the future! I recently moved my business office to my home and used this service. The movers were courteous but gouged my desk and credenza. The worst part was the immense oil spot left in my driveway by their truck. Despite several calls and promises to clean the oil spot nothing has been done. Now my calls are no longer answered. I used this company for a 6-mile move in late June. I would have given them a 4- or 5-star review if the following had not happened. I am giving facts here and let readers to make their own conclusions. The moving process was smooth except for a few small glitches, such as the truck going to a wrong building at the destination in spite of detailed direction instructions given to them before going there, wasted quite some time. But more seriously, an executive desk was damaged beyond repair, as it was placed in a wrong position on the moving truck during the moving process, and had to be thrown away. Also, you did not select the protection plan for your move when filling out your moving service agreement (page 5 of attached document). You opted to take the standard liability protection which offers you $.60 per pound, per item. Using an average weight of 200-250lbs for an executive desk, your total compensation for this damage would be $150 at most. I have already well exceeded that compensation amount by deducting 1 hour of labor from your move ($285 value). There is no further compensation to be given on this claim. I should have read the reviews prior to hiring this company. One thing is true - reviews do not lie. I am quite surprised that a company with such a low review rating even gets business. If you could pick any company to move your belongings, I would opt to pick any company but this one. Besides the scheduler, who was very kind and professional, I would not recommend the movers or the management team. They refuse to take responsibility for my broken bed. After reporting the damage claim, it took a week for the Operations Manager to come and "assess the damage." Then, after phone calls and email asking for a resolution on the matter, I finally received a response from the GM that they refuse to take responsibility. Time was certainly not of the essence. As a professional in this area who works with movers often, I would categorize this company as unethical. It was evident from my experience with them that they lack the ability to do the right thing. I don't leave negative reviews very often, but my interaction with this company compelled me to share my experience. I started filling out the form for a quote on their website and specified that email was my preferred method of communication. While I was in the middle of filling out the form for a quote, I realized I would be too busy to complete it until later today, so I closed it out and planned to come back later. Within an hour of closing the website, I received a call from an associate here even though I specified my preferred method of communication was email. Oh well, no biggie. I sent an email in response to the call letting the associate know I had planned to fill out the form later and not to contact me until that time. To which she replied: "Do not worry about returning the form, we won't be able to be the service for you now or going forward." So apparently, all it takes to get banned from this business is to request they not contact you on the method of communication you already told them you preferred not to be contacted on. I hired two Men and a Truck to move my family to a home about 10 min from my home. Men showed up on time and were very nice. During the move they broke a dresser and i noticed right away and paperwork was filled out and they said someone be out soon to fix. The following day after the move i found a very large gouge out of my wall coming from the basement. I contacted the office right away and was told Jerid would be calling me back. The following Monday i called again and left a message. Called again and talked to woman in the office but once again no return call. We then had to close on the house and we had to compensate new owners for the gouge that was in the wall. Called again, again and again... no return call. Two Men and a Truck have gone above and beyond my expectations. After getting stuck at a storage garage where my belongings are they dug the manager and themselves out. The manager of the facility was unwilling to help them at all. Then they conducted the second half of my move without reservation. At the end of my moving process they fit me into a very tight schedule with two men down. Plus the office manager couldn't have been sweeter or more understanding. I can't believe I didn't see these reviews prior to booking my move with this company and as somebody else stated, I do not usually write reviews myself but, these complaints are 100% accurate and completely warranted. Horrible company, horrible service and impossible to get a hold of for any type of resolution after the fact. They cancelled my move the day of and had to reschedule for an employee being in QUARANTINE for Covid and another calling off for a death in the family, things completely out of their control, I understand. However, the movers then showed up at my door and refused to wear masks through out the move. They damaged half of the items they moved and now it's been two plus weeks and nobody will respond to my concerns. The reviews on their website are obviously fake reviews written by the employees themselves. I have never written a bad review but feel compelled to Do so because it was a major rip off and they took advantage of my mother who is moving into a senior housing. We told the movers we weren't happy and called and left a message for the manager last week and no reply. It took them seven hours to move a 1 bedroom apartment without any appliances and approximately 50 boxes. The cost and amount of time was almost triple what they quoted! The movers had a hard time finding her place which is just one street down off crooks Road and they messed up on the new location even though they assured me they knew where they were going. They moved very slow but miraculously they started moving faster and bring up bigger loads when we were approaching the evening of the move and they wanted to get home. I've moved several times with a full house in the past in less than this amount of time. As I am not hearing back from the Two Men and a Truck in Troy, Michigan, I am now trying different avenues to get this settled. They sent a repair man out, he fixed what he could. No one has contacted me, no one returns my calls, it's been four weeks now. Two bedroom apartment was packed and organized for the movers. Elevators were booked for 4 hours, the standard for a move in this building.After about three hours I called the office and spoke to Jared, I asked him to send one more person as the movers were slow and were still moving just the boxes. He declined. After unpacking everything a few days later we realized they had not moved all our things. We had paid them to move our storage room as well in the building but they ran out of elevator time so we never went down there. (I paid for that) Looking at the invoice later I see that they charged me for an extra half hour as they claimed to have showed up 30 min before they did. The movers got in an argument with Jared (owner?) over the phone while unpacking at our house. The mover was in my driveway, yelling and cursing at Jared over the phone. The school bus stops right in front of our driveway and the neighbors kids were getting off the bus, hearing all this. He then proceeded to close the truck up, didn't say anything to me. When I confronted him and asked where he was taking my things he said "I got fired, I'm leaving." I asked him how I was supposed to get my things and he said "I don't know. Maybe they'll send someone else later". As we were confronting the movers telling them they could not leave with our things I was also calling Jared. I asked him if he knew what was going on at my home right now and handed the mover my phone. They ended up opening the truck up again. We were now helping them unload. Although now they just piled up all the stuff in our hallway and we later had to carry everything to the rooms it was supposed to go to. As they got to the furniture they dropped and destroyed our armoire. They didn't acknowledge this or show any concern. I realized it was ruined after they left. They sat down and refused to move more furniture, telling me that they were being treated badly by the company and that jobs like this always has three people moving the things. They didn't move anything else until Jared came to the location to help them. Although now when they were three, one of the guys sat down and stopped working. So the job still only had two movers.. this is so weird! I ended up paying $1200 for this. Jared gave me $100 off. I wouldn't call that compensation as a lot of the time was spent sitting around waiting, arguing with him or with us and that first 30 min when no one was here. Not to mention the storage room that they never moved. A repair man came out. He fixed the bed that was damaged, a cabinet and the walls. He was unable to repair the armoire. I never heard from Jared again. I repeatedly called and left messages with the office staff for him to call me. I've explained to them what happened. After a while I left voicemails as they stopped picking up, no one returns those messages either. Although I got Jose (manager) on the phone a couple of weeks ago. Told him the story. He promised Jared would call me back. A friend just cancelled their move with them due to our poor experience. They told her that the only notes they had about my move in their computer was that I thought the movers were nice but slow. Over the weeks they have called me twice. I am taking them to small claims court as I have a voice mail of the driver calling me and telling me they still had my new tv on the truck. (In the chaos of moving an entire house I didn't notice before they left) I called him back and the company and emailed Stephanie multiple times and no one will call back. When I then disputed it with my credit card they sent a signed affidavit that there was nothing left on the truck. I did not actually even get to a point where this company moved my things. I was trying to hire movers to move me from the Detroit area to Columbus OH. I put in a request online several weeks in advance and did not hear back from them. I called several times and left voicemails and did not get a response. The week of my move they called me back. The had the audacity to tell me that the move was "last minute" even though I had been trying to get a hold of them for weeks. I finally did set up a date for the move (later than intended) and was told that someone would be in touch with me to set up a consult and finalize prices. The day before when the last option for the consult was supposed to be, I reached out to them to confirm the time. They then asked if they could come do the consult a few hours from when they got back to me, rather than the following day. Every email that I received from them had typos in it. They lack some seriously important communication skills and often do not even respond to you. You would have thought they did not want my business at all even though I would have been paying them several thousands of dollars for the move. I finally decided to just recruit some friends and do the move myself since now it is last minute and I wouldn't be able to hire another company to help me. I sent them an email explaining why i no longer wanted their services and no one ever even responded to me. Don't waist you time or let them back you into a corner. The price I was quoted was much lower than I ended up paying. The move took way longer than expected (meaning I paid more in hourly costs), and I even paid for the hour the movers took for lunch! After unpacking, I noticed some of my furniture and items to be damaged as well as a few gashes on my new ceiling/walls. They left odd items in middle of walkway for me to fall onto and injure self! They did not finish the job and left shelves apart and put furniture back together wrong. They literally broke the wood in half on my Entertainment Center. I watched them try to shove a bed frame through a hallway for 15 minutes destroying my ceilings and walls because they were too lazy to take it apart as it needed to be moved. And the worst of all...I paid for extra insurance and they assured me everything would be repaired....1 month later and nothing is repaired, they have not even returned any of my several phone calls! My walls and ceilings (which were freshly painted before the move) have paint chipping everywhere with possible LEAD PAINT which my children are being exposed to!!! The rating would be zero stars if possible. We hired them for a move across town 6 weeks ago I purchased the insurance (which I never do) just in case something was damaged. The movers punctured the leather headboard and stretched the leather due to the way they grasped it. I have been trying to settle with them for the damage and I can not get a call back. I hired Two Men and a Truck to move a large sideboard that took me 3 years to custom build. The result was a damaged wall, water stains a scratch on the furniture piece, and very neglectful treatment by a manager of Two Men and a Truck named Mary. I would not recommend them and if you are the franchise owner, I strongly suggest that you find another manager to handle customer issues. My wife and I Two Men and a Truck pick up the sideboard and deliver it finisher in Roseville. We felt as though we needed a professional to ensure it arrived without any incident. Since this piece was custom made and it was not greater than $10K, the minimum required for extra insurance, we did not purchase extra insurance. The movers arrived early in the morning and had the job of moving the piece up a straight flight of stairs, into the garage, and onto the truck. They explained to my wife that they would not wrap the back veneered plywood panel until it was loaded into the truck. My wife was at the bottom of the basement stairs while they moved the piece out to the truck. When she came upstairs, the driver asked her to come outside right away to sign the paperwork so they could be on their way. They also asked for a tip, which my wife tipped them 15%. My wife left our house after they were finished and when we returned home from work that evening, I noticed chipped drywall on the kitchen wall and the furniture finisher called me to tell me that there was a scratch and water stains on the back panel of the sideboard. The result was a damaged wall in our kitchen, water stains and a 6" scratch on the back piece of the sideboard. My wife drove down to Roseville to take a picture of the damage the next day and submitted photographs to Two Men and a Truck, as requested by Mary, the franchise manager. Mary was very matter-of-fact and uninterested. She implied that she did not believe our story that this incident occurred, despite us sending the photos to her. Despite having all of the information she requested, she wanted to go to the furniture finishing shop herself to obtain more information, including weighing the piece of plywood so that she could provide compensation at a state-minimum level of 60 cents per pound. To save you the calculator trouble, this would have been about $27.00 to replace a piece of plywood that cost me about $300 to have made, not including my time of picking it up and machining it. We asked her not to go out to the finishing warehouse out of respect of the owner, who said this would be disruptive of her business and would probably cost us more money to pay for her extra time of meeting with Mary. Mary told us a drywall repairman would contact us within 48 hours. After 3 days of not hearing from him, we had to contact Mary who eventually told us he was on vacation for the week. He did show up 2 weeks later and did a nice job with the repair. Eventually, I got tired of dealing with Mary's lack of interest and follow-through and contacted corporate headquarters for Two Men and a Truck. The representative informed me that all franchises are privately owned and any resolution of disputes was left to their discretion. The representative told me that I would hear from Mary within 48 hours. She never contacted me. The representative called me back 4 days later to tell me that Mary agreed to reimburse me $50 toward repairing the plywood and also returned the 15% tip. In summary, the above story clearly demonstrates how this franchise will handle any incidents during your move. I would highly recommend you seek out a company who stands behind their work and is interested in making things right when mistakes are made. read more

Nightmare from start to finish. I called and schedule a move from one house to another and was pleased they could help me on short notice. The movers arrived on time but damaged a neighbors tree trying to get to my house. They were surprised I had boxes as my quote only included all my furniture and appliances. I spoke with a manager and they agreed to not charge me for drive time since I would require two trips. The first trip went well although most boxes were left in my living room and garage with the promise they would be placed on the second trip. The second trip did not get us back to my new home until 1030 and then I was told they had to leave by 11 and would have to come back the next day to put things away. They began running things in and out no longer being careful dining my floors gouging my walls and leaning things everywhere scuffing up the walls. Did I mention this was a brand new home! They were not even able to finish un loading the truck. My family had to sleep on mattresses on the living room floor none of my appliances were hooked up so food is also spoiling. We can't get to our clothes and my mother almost fell tripping over a bed frame. I've left voice mails I'm exhausted and here I wait hoping my things are brought back and that what I contracted them for is completed soon. I know the movers spoke with thier managers throughout the day but no one ever told.me about the 11 pm deadline or my risk of hitting it also managers did nothing to support thier team. Just spoke with a manager he can have someone here by 11 but expects full payment or he won't send anyone doesn't seem to think this is a problem. In regards to the unprofessional reply this review received. I would just like to clarify if added nothing to my move I was misquoted. I reviewed all my large items with the person on the phone and told him I needed a truck to move to a new home. I was never asked about boxes and since I had never hired a mover before I thought they where estimating the boxes based on the size of my home and garage number of bedrooms etc all info that I did provide. I even asked what if it doesnt fit and the person on the phone laughed and said it would not to worry about it. When the movers arrived and realized the error and told their boss the job was much larger than expected no action was taken.I was not nformed beyond the need of second truck that they were very under equipped to manage the size of the job. I hired professionals to advise and do the work they even sent their boss pictures of the first truck and recieved no response. These two kids worked their butts off and no one in their office did anything to fix the problem. DO NOT USE TWO MEN AND A TRUCK - ESPECIALLY THIS LOCATION I had them booked for almost two months. They showed up to my apartment, told me there was nowhere to park, hung up on me when I tried to tell them there was in fact parking, and then cancelled my job. No one listened to me when I tried to tell them there was parking and instead I got a rude condescending tone telling me the driver knew better. Well, considering I'd lived in that apartment for almost a year, I'm pretty sure that I would know. There was an empty lot not 15 feet from the apartment they could have used. I never even saw the driver. He was parked at the end of my street and drove off while I was on the phone with the manager. The manager was absolutely rude to me and told me "we're not the moving company for you" and cancelled my job. I had to be out that day. It was the one of the most stressful situations I've ever been through. Thankfully, my friends and family rallied around me and we moved everything BY OURSELVES. Set up the move two plus weeks ago... come home this morning from a business trip to meet them and they tell me that I did not provide them with the correct information. Bottomline half of my home was moved. Although the guys finished at 2:30 pm and there weren't any additional jobs they could not return to my home to pick up the remaining items even if they were paid. The GM Mary told me she would get me the recordings and that she is sorry that they did not meet my expectations... Now I've hired a second company to come out tomorrow and I'm paying twice for the move.... I would avoid this company at all costs....as they choose not to work with you to rectify issues incurred but rather blame you and offer voice recordings as if that's going to help your current situation. This is the worst movers ever. I wish we would have checked yelp before we got them. The worst experience--these non professionals need to close. I hope nobody has to experience what my husband & I experienced. We booked them 2 weeks prior to our move. They showed up with 2 trucks on the day of the move. The crew said they might need another truck. They called the worst unsympathetic managers ever. The managers came out. Said they didn't have another truck. I said okay can you all just load these 2 & we will figure out the rest. These unprofessionals got into it with one of the drivers. So the driver & 3 guys left with the truck. Leaving us with 1 truck. Do you know these terrible, unsympathetic managers didn't have a plan B & cancelled our move! We had to hand over keys to the new owners the next day. Do u know how hard it is to find movers the same day. But after crying on the phone with Quick & Clean Movers & Juggernauts Moving & Storage saved me. These two companies shuffled their day tp help us move. They were professional, my angels. DO NOT USE THIS LOCATION FOR YOUR MOVE! I had the worst experience I have ever had with a company. They did not move all of my things, even though they were paid to do so. The stuff they did move ended up in my garage, instead of in the house, and they refused to move it into the house. The house was damaged in 3 separate places, 10 days later, still no fixes. They also refuse to send a crew to move the rest of my stuff and move the furniture into the house, even though they told me they would do so. I can't believe how many things went wrong and that Two Men and A Truck refuses to make the situation right, even though they were happy to take full payment from me. If you want your stuff moved properly without being ripped off, look somewhere else. read more

What a waste of time and money. They literally did not move all of our stuff! When the movers arrived, their documentation was all incorrect as to how many couches and boxes to move. They said it happens all the time and it was not a problem. They started packing the truck. Halfway through the move, a manager stopped by, said everything appeared fine, and then left. We thought everything must be fine. Finally, the movers declared they were out of room and we were on our own as to the rest of our stuff. We were stunned. The manager had just left and he had not said anything to us. I had to rent a 15-foot U-Haul that I filled - twice - with the rest of our stuff, including a couch, multiple tables and several big boxes. When I asked to be reimbursed for my U-Haul expenses, the franchise manager, Mary Fisher, said the documentation showed we only reported three boxes and one couch to move. She sent the documentation to me via email, and it showed three couches and 12 boxes were to be moved.! So she either did not read the documentation or she was simply being dishonest. Again, do not expect any help from customer service, as Mary is the franchise manager. They are very unprofessional people at this location who do not put the customer first. read more

My experience with this location was not very good at all. I chose this location based on research and reviews online. I expected that my move would be handled smoothly and with professionalism. Unfortunately that was not the case. I made reservations to move a 2 bedroom apartment and was given a window of 11am - 1pm. I was excited about the move because the employee who took the reservation was very pleasant and easy to work with. This gave me a good feeling about the company. I tried to make the move as easy as possible for the movers by placing all of the items that needed to be moved out in the front room close to the door. The only remaining item that was in another room was a dresser. I also made sure to break down the bed, the dining room table and took the mirror off of the vanity as I had read that not doing this could add time if the workers had to do it. On moving day, the workers were two hours late as they did not arrive until a little after 3pm. They told me that a prior move was the reason. The problem with them arriving 2 hours late is that I had arranged with my complex to reserve the freight elevator for use based on the window of time that I was quoted by two Men and a Truck. The movers went over some paperwork with me before getting started that quoted me a total moving time of 3.5 hours. By the time it was done, the move ended up taking almost 5.5 hours. During the move, one of the movers made a remark to me that they were being interrupted by someone else that was also using the freight elevator and was upset that they were using it. I reminded him that they were 2 hours late and were now cutting into time that someone else had reserved. I was upset that the move had taken so long but did not express this to the movers. Although they were very loud and talkative when completing the move, and although I saw them on their cell phones a couple of times during the move, overall they worked very hard and I appreciated their assistance. I decided to take up my concerns with the manager/owner, Greg. I spoke to Greg and told him my concerns. I let him know that I was disappointed that the workers were 2 hours late and that the move lasted almost 2.5 hours longer than what was quoted which cost me an extra $200.00/plus dollars. Greg was apologetic but told me that since the job had been closed already, he could not refund any money. However, he assured we that he would "talk" to each person who was involved with putting this move together. Thanks, but that does not help me much as your customer. He also said that the time estimation was quoted to me wrong. I understand that but that is not my fault. I agreed to what I had been quoted and made plans based off of that. I should not have to suffer because of the errors of your workers. He then offered to discount a "future move" for me, maybe removing the traveling fee the next time. I found this insulting as this was not making up for the inconvenience but rather it was an invite back to give him more business, despite the unaddressed issues I encountered. Why would I consider using this location again based on the experience I had? So my experience with this Two Men and a Truck location in Troy was not good at all. This is just my experience and yours may be completely different. As far as I'm concerned, this company got my $700.00 but they will never get my business, or anyone else that I know business again. read more
