I was recommended to use two men and a truck and this location was the closest to me. I felt like they did a great job. I got a quote and they said they would arrive between 8 and 9 and basically got there right at 9! The 2 guys were really friendly and helped me out a ton. They did exactly as I asked and worked efficiently to wrap and package my furniture. They also took all my boxes and miscellaneous things that I had ready to go. I was moving from an apartment to a house so they were able to navigate tight corners and any stairs as needed and I was really happy with the service! My total price came out to be cheaper than what I was quoted which I appreciated a lot. read more

Beware! These people are deceptive and sloppy (if not somewhat dishonest). My wife and I needed to move four wooden book cases from her office to our condo, a distance of less than two miles. My wife repeatedly asked the dispatcher what it would cost and how long it would take. The dispatcher assured us it could be done in an hour and it would cost $184. My wife asked, "Are you sure you can do it in an hour?" The dispatcher said "Yes. Shouldn't be a problem." My wife confirmed the time and price several times. So we booked them. The move was smooth. It was done within an hour. But when the movers handed us the invoice, it was $90 more than the price quoted. We asked why. One mover immediately replied with, "Did you read your contract?" (Which tells us they get that shocked reply often.) My wife said she had not because she was at the office in meetings and they e-mailed it to her while she was in busy. Besides, why would the contract be different from what the dispatcher quoted us 2-3 times and assured us would be the price she quoted? Here's the fine-print catch: They charged us extra for drive time from THEIR office to my wife's office! In other words, they billed us another half hour ($90+) just for driving to my wife's office! What if they had been stuck in traffic? What if construction rerouted them a few miles out of their way? What if they stopped for lunch? What if they got lost and couldn't find her office? We would have paid for every minute they spent getting from their office to my wife's office building. That's the deceptive part. They quote you a price, assure you that price is accurate, but then e-mail you a contract that contradicts the quoted price. If you don't catch the bait-and-switch, they blame you for not reading the fine print. Gotcha! And now here's the sloppy/borderline dishonest part: As soon we paid the new price with the hidden fee, my wife immediately called to complain about the deception. After a while trying to get someone with authority on the phone, she was transferred to the regional manager who said he completely understood the problem and apologized because the dispatcher didn't tell us about the drive-time billing - which, by the way, he rationalized by saying, "We need to pay for our drivers time." Dude, you pay for their time by charging the appropriate amount for the move itself - not for how long it takes them to get their customers! I realize doing it that way makes it look like you have a lower moving cost than other companies. But sticking it to the customers when it comes time to pay is NOT the way to compete in the business world. Honesty is always the best policy. The regional manager promised to refund the $92. My wife hung up the phone feeling relieved that we didn't get ripped off after all. Gotcha #2! He didn't follow through! We waited over 10 business days. No refund. So, my wife tried to contact the guy again yesterday to request the promised refund on the deceptive billing practice. Unfortunately, the receptionist wouldn't put her through to the guy or his voicemail. The receptionist took down the information and promised to give it to him. That was over 24 hours ago. We heard nothing from him. And that's the sloppy part. No follow-through. (Or did he intentionally not follow through until we reached out again? We'll never know. He never bothered to contact us to apologize.) This morning, however, I noticed the $92 had been credited to our account. Look, the movers did a fine job. We would gladly have paid the quoted price of $184 for one hour of their time. In fact, we would have considered it a fair transaction. But the way Two Men and a Truck deceived us, blamed us for not catching their deception, and then promised us a refund that we had to wait two weeks to finally see (AFTER we called them back to remind them!) makes it so that we will NOT choose them again for any move we make in the future. Plus, we cannot recommend them to anyone else, either. If you absolutely must choose Two Men and a Truck, beware the hidden Gotcha! fees. If you don't, you'll be on the hook for any amount they choose to tack on. read more

I'd give them 0 stars -  Terrible - I've moved 6-7 times in my life and have never had such a bad experience.  I've never even had a claim from any other move.  There was no adherence to the companies move standards.  Many furniture items weren't padded or wrapped, the packing was done very sloppily and inconsistently.  The company sent fewer people than required and didn't send mattress bags, carpet or railing covers etc.  This all resulted in over $4000 worth of damaged to furniture and possessions.  Damage was also done to both properties by the move team.   To even begin a claim process (for damaged items) they are demanding payment in full.  Absurd - pay for crappy work and we'll 'file a claim' The Two Men & a Truck customer service line was no better.  You have to pay in full, or this goes to collections.  Feels more like extortion than a rational policy.   I would have had better results with a bulldozer and a dump truck - DO NOT USE THEM!!!! read more

We love Two Men and a Truck! We originally scheduled them to move some furniture around inside our home. We have three levels and at 71 and 81 we did not want to move lift chairs, trunks, display cabinets, dressers etc up and down two flights of stairs or outside the back lower level, in the main floor front door and up another floor. After booking with them we decided to move some belongings from one off-site storage unit to a larger unit in the next row of buildings. When we called to update our needs, the scheduler was able to accommodate the extra time we needed and clearly explained the rate, estimating the travel time that would be charged from their office location to our home and then from the storage unit back to their office. When Bryce, Cedric and Leonard, who was training, arrived at our home, Bryce reviewed the items to be moved, which of course had changed from our initial request, and Cedric reviewed the digital paperwork. He was keen to point out that I had included a $75 protection fee when I signed the contract, and asked if I wished to keep that feature or remove it, which would reduce my estimated bill by $75. I appreciated that since I did not intend to include that feature in the contract. The men were very careful, confident and quick. They displayed knowledge in how to move the items requested and how to work safely and smoothly as a team. We had scheduled for 4-5 hours of moving, Cedric kindly informed me when we headed to the storage unit that we had about 2 hours remaining and let me know about 15 minutes before we approached the time needed to stop so they could return within the 4 hour period. They explained they could continue working but I would be charged for each additional quarter hour plus the 10-15 minutes it would take them to return to the office with the truck. These men were strong, smart and respectful. We have used them before and will use them again. The prices do vary by day and time of day but if you are able to schedule during a lower rate period it could save you a little money while still receiving great service! read more

This was my third move with 2 Men and a Truck and once again I was pleased with the experience. Kaylee and Kristen in the office were very helpful with my fluid moving date (new home construction). Shaun, Austin, and Tyrus, our movers, did a great job, were very friendly, and arrived right at the time expected. They worked quickly and were very well organized about how they moved things out/where they loaded them in the truck to protect our things. They also asked questions to confirm where we wanted things if they were unsure based on my labeling. They also took care to protect the floors in our brand new house from dirt. The cost came in well under the estimate as it has each time I've moved. If I move again, will surely use 2 Men and a Truck. read more

Hired them to move our fridge from our kitchen to the garage 35ft away for a remodel. Movers broke the fridge and Nathan Zorney the manager offered to fix it. That was October 11, 2022. My fridge is still sitting my garage broken and Nathan has ghosted us and refused to confirm any information that he's ever tired to actively fix this issue. Also they charged us to move the fridge back into the house after we had them return to do the reset after the remodel. Untrustworthy liars who careless break your things, then will lie to you about fixing for over half a year with no resolution. Save yourself from these ghouls, go somewhere else. read more

We recently moved into a house and needed help with our heavy furniture. This is the second time we used two men and a truck and both times they have provided us with great service. They are very efficient and do a great job. The two guys were unable to get our dressers upstairs (they are pretty heavy and big), the company sent 4 guys couple days later to help move those upstairs and they were successful! Then we received (two days before this moving date) a notice from our new leasing office that the apartment we were originally set down for wouldn't be ready due to some repair issues. Worst experience ever! I only have a 1,000 sq foot home. I had some things packed up in totes in the attic and a few other things in the basement. It took them 10 hours to move and I only moved 2 miles away. They left 8 items on the wall that I asked them to take. They broke a light and put a hole in the wall at my new place. They didn't put the glass back some of my tables and shelves. They lost a screw that holds on the shade to a lamp. The senior person seemed to have an attitude. I've used 2 men before but this is the worst experience by far. read more

We moved this August and I was really not happy my husband chose this company to move us because I had a bad impression of them. Well that has definitely changed at least based on the young men who moved us out of our previous home and into our new one. Our new place has lots of stairs, three levels, and a quirky floor plan (it was originally a cottage that has had several additions put on). I am the ultimate perfectionist and am very pleased. They arrived on time and most importantly there is not a dent or scratch on anything. Not the walls of our new place or on any furniture and there are several "close fits" in here-like a matter of two inches. The guys didn't just try to shove stuff in. Each piece was moved methodically with one telling the others specifically what to do. Which way to lift, drop, turn their bodies , and what to expect up ahead. I have used Two Men and a Truck about 15 times over the last 20 years and every time, they have been friendly informative and very easy to work with. I have had several add moves where there might be stuff in a storage location and a house moving to another location and moving things that are already there up and down. This company has absolutely been great to work with. Even when I have had a short notice issue where a friend was being unexpectedly evicted, they stepped right up and were there within an hour helping grab her stuff and bring it to a storage unit. The guys are always fast and sometimes scare me at how much they carry up-and-down steps so fast but they are great to work with and always very friendly. I will continue to use them for my many moves as long as they continue to provide the same level of great service that they do now. read more

THIS IS THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I HAVE EVER RECEIVED. The two young men who moved my stuff were below par, one was even smoking while moving my furniture. They went on an hour and 45 minute lunch break during my move as well. I was dissatisfied with my service but was not going to complain or write a bad review because my stuff got from point A to point B without any damage. But now, 2 months later, I am still receiving random charges on my credit card. I moved May 6th and they told me they had charged my card. Then 3 weeks later there was a charge for 100 dollars! I called to ask questions and was told that "My card did not go through on May 6th so they were charging it now". I asked to speak with someone in the billing department, she wasn't there so I left a voicemail. In my voicemail I asked her to call me back so we could make sure the balance was paid in full. No response. Now 5 WEEKS LATER I get another random charge for 25 dollars. I called to talk to the woman. She was rude and unhelpful. It seems like they do not know what they are doing. It should not take 2 months to talk to someone about settling my balance. I would never recommend this particular 2 Men and a Truck! I have used a different Two Men and a Truck in the past and had a great experience. That location was on 28th Street in Grand Rapids. I would encourage people to use their service. read more

Do NOT hire this location!!! We have used this company numerous times and NEVER have received this low of a service level. Had to call for reinforcements to keep the project moving. What should have Been a 8 hour MAX day turned into a 12 hour day and that was With the reinforcements present. A sense of urgency was lacking exemplified by very small loads carried at a time example two beach umbrellas carried at one time. This obviously drag the hours and cost on. Since I was NEVER offered any type of monetary resolution, I think it's safe to say my opinion and attitude will never change.
