I would like to respond to Jennifer K, who wrote an unflattering review 9 days ago. 1. Your husband had a Wagyu burger, not a Waboo burger. Perhaps that is why he didn't care for it, he was expecting something that doesn't exist. 2. That Wagyu burger was cooked perfectly Medium. If he didn't want any pink, he should have ordered Well or Medium Well. They forgot veggies and Mayo, that happens, but if you brought it home, surely you have a microwave to nuke it for 20 seconds without the bun and Mayo to slather on it once it has been killed to his liking. My husband had this burger tonight and it was the best burger he ever had. The bacon mixed with the ground Wagyu still cooks up crispy and delicious, and it is so flavorful, you don't need condiments on such a great tasting meat. 3. I have never had the Gluten-free Chicken Piccata because it is Gluten-free; and I would certainly never expect it to be served over Angel Hair pasta. Really, did you read the menu? 4. You are correct on one point, the Tortilla Soup is unlike any Tortilla Soup we have ever tasted. It doesn't have chunks of chicken and soggy tortilla chips in a thin, brown broth like I'm sure you were expecting. It was thicker and creamier, almost like a cheese soup, with big chunks of hand shredded chicken and crispy tortilla strips. It had just the right amount of spice to it. I don't even like soup and I thought it was delicious. 5. Baine, the owner, personally came to our table and asked us how everything tasted, and then we learned that he does that all of the time. He even bought us dessert, the very same Tequila Bread Pudding that you complained about. When I tell you it was one of the best desserts we have EVER had, I mean it. And we're fat, we've had a lot of dessert, we know what's good. 6. You went during the week, when the kitchen closes at 10pm. If you live as close as you say, how is it you just got home with your food at 10:30? Any food that sits in a Styrofoam container for more than 30 minutes is going to be soggy and not nearly as tasty as it is when it's fresh. First ever visit to watch the Allen Americans in the 2021 playoffs. The place is very warm and friendly, the atmosphere is fantastic as is everything that comes off the grill. The wood-fire pizza was basically perfect, and they were wonderfully accommodating of my wife's food allergies, even going as far as separating her burger from the rest of the grill. Our server, Brandon, was a great young guy, perfectly attentive and friendly to our entire party as he made his rounds. The manager, David, is one of the friendliest people I think we've ever met at a bar & grill and a fellow Allen hockey fan! He personally spent time with our party to make sure everything was perfect. The hockey game ran late into overtime, well past their closing time, yet the staff encouraged us to stay! David and some of the staff even started watching the nail-biting game with us! I've never experienced service like this before, they absolutely went above and beyond and David made sure we got the full experience we wanted to watch the game. David, if you see this, without a doubt, you guys have earned repeat customers and I making it my mission to send even more customers your way. You run a great crew and it shows. I've been coming here for a few months now, and I am yet to be disappointed. The food is always great, and the service even better. It is a bit casual, but after a long workday it's great to relax and have a meal out. I strongly recommend; one point to note that on Saturday it gets a bit noisy / chaotic due to the bar area. Never been here but figured we'd give it a shot. Heard about it another establishment I frequent. You can tell it's been around a few years but nothing wrong with that as they have survived in such a Franchise-Driven World. My wife and I ordered the Fried Pickles as an App and I ordered a Route 66 Amber which was really good. We weren't that hungry so we ordered a Chicken Chimichanga to split. I go to Two Rows regularly and I've never been disappointed. Whether you're carefully watching what you eat, or in a "what the heck" mood, you'll find something you'll enjoy. Their menu covers the gamut, from wood-fired pizzas and burgers, to grilled steaks and seafood, pasta, Tex Mex and more - so it's a great place for groups. Something for everyone! My friends enjoy sampling the wide selection of locally brewed beers, including nearby Nine Band Brewing and McKinney's Franconia, as well as all of the usual favorites. They also have their own house brews, including non-alcoholic root beer and cream soda. My personal favorites are the Greek Chicken, Fish Tacos and, if I'm feeling indulgent, Sour Cream Chicken Enchiladas. If you're feeling really indulgent, Baine's Brownie Explosion is a real production and delicious too. They are very accommodating to groups, organized or otherwise, and the patio is a great place to hang out. My brother purchased a Groupon for Two Rows and said lets go try it. So we all got together excited to try somewhere new. We were happy to see there was no wait at all on a Friday night. We should have known there was a reason why. The bar side had plenty of people, mostly drinking and watching the game. At 7:30pm on a Friday night, we were one of 2 tables on the restaurant side. Service: Our young server was sweet and tried her best. We sat for some time without Rootbeer refills. We asked for them she said no problem and then we waited some more. He walked around talking to everyone. He started talking to my brothers baby girl as if she were an adult & totally joking with her. He was dressed in professional clothes and wearing a TON of those crazy rubber bracelets the kiddos love. He began teasing her with them, it was hilar. Let me start by saying that I started going to Two Rows 17 years ago, at the original location on Greenville Avenue. Two Rows was once a very good restaurant and brew-pub, (even though only Greenville location could brew). The food was consistently good. Now, with only one location and the manager now the sole owner, you would think the food and service would rise to consistently great. You would be wrong. The only reason we made this trip was for the boiled crawfish, which were excellent but served with only corn (no potatoes). Not five minutes after our crawfish were brought out, they brought the entrees. Uh...timing, people. I had the Cali Quesadillas. First couple of bites, "hmmm this is interesting", which quickly became "no---too much of everything". The "bistro sauce" was too sweet and just didn't work with the spiciness of the rest of the quesadilla. The pepper jack cheese seemed more of a processed cheese (like Kraft slices) rather than the real deal. My wife had the Vegetable Garden pizza and it was way undercooked. Soggy throughout the middle. Son had a Grande Burger and it came without any garnish--and the waitress didn't bother to notice or ask if it was desired. He said the meat was bland. Daughter had the Greek Chicken which she said "it was OK...but I don't like Two Rows". Our server didn't inquire if we wanted a refill on our empty beers or our son's soft drink. My crawfish shells sat on the table until the end. Not good. The only good thing that remains are the biscuits (the'yre NOT rolls--Yankees need to know). $87 after tip. Money I can never get back. We used to love Two Rows. We frequented the Greenville location, and went a few times to the North Dallas store and here in Allen. Baine Brooks (the manager/owner) used to run such a tight ship. Vegetarian review: I got the decaf coffee, 3 egg omelette with cheddar cheese, spinach and red onions. Also came with breakfast potates and "fresh fruit" Decaf coffee was pretty good Omelette was excellent, made with fresh spinach Potatoes had an odd seasoning on them, not good, not bad. TwoRows is a great, local, restaurant. They have something for everyone on their menu. The owners, Baine & Juli are great people. They are always walking around making sure you are being taken care of. Very cozy atmosphere too. Portions are fairly large. Food is pretty great! Great Place!! We were on our way back from the outlets and decided to stop in and give it a try, very happy that we did. We quickly found out that they make their own beer and we were pleasantly surprised( barley & pale ale), very good. I ordered the street tacos, very good for a few reasons: each taco had a different meat, they were seasoned perfectly, they were also cooked perfectly! My wife ordered a burger and again-perfect. I have fond memories of the Two Rows on Greenville and this past week we paid the Allen location a first visit. The breadth of the menu and the decor seemed to be a good start. But the food was a bit of a disappointment. The best choice was the kids menu pizza which our daughter loved - we had them add pepperoni and it also came with fries, a litle dish of peaches, and a little dish of chocolate pudding. So she gives it 5 stars. Mom and dad had more of a so-so meal. My wife had the chicken fried steak while I had the pot roast. Both could have been good but suffered from a much-too-heavy hand with the salt. While too little salt is a kitchen sin over-doing it is even more sinful. Overall we are into second chances so we will give it another try one day and go for a different section of the menu. I think I'm giving it 3 stars partly due to the benefit of the doubt due to the other reviews and my experiences at the Greenville location. read more

Swore I wouldn't go back, but I was in town and a friend dragged me in. I watched the kid who was my waiter play around on his phone most of the time, then bring me cold food and warm beer. This poor attitude must permeate down from the top, because the managers don't care either and the owner, some guy with a naploean complex named Baine Brooks, was the worst of the whole lot. I used to work at Two Rows in high school and still eat here when I come home to visit my mom because it is so good. I can tell you from experience that everything down to the salsa is made in house and in a world of "packaged crap" I think that speaks volumes. I have had probably 80% of the menu and like the majority of the dishes I have tried! I have been thrilled to see a growing beer selection over the years and I can never get enough of the beer muffins (yum)! This place is good for the price. Anywhere you can get a meal and salad for $9.99 is OK in my book. The server was nice and very attentive (always had a full drink). If you want a better salad, go to another place where the food costs more - plain and simple. It's good, fast, friendly food, and I think it would be more of a lunch place vs. a dinner place. People are expecting III Forks treatment from a place priced around Waffle House, and that's unfair to this restaurant. It's great for what it is, and great at what it does. The serving sizes are not large, but again, it's inexpensive. I got the fish tacos (best fish tacos I've had... OK, so I've only had them at one other place, but it is better than that one other place!) and the beans were good, too. My friend got the fried chicken fingers and he was pleased with them. (We're both very picky.) He didn't like that his salad only came with two croutons, and that struck me as odd. You can buy a box of generic-brand croutons at the store for like $2 and that's enough for at least 50 salads. The dressing was a bit too strong and it seemed as if it just came from a discount bottle vs. being made fresh, but then again, for $10 for both the salad and the entree, I can't really complain! Baine Brooks has really found his niche in Allen! I LOVE Two Rows! When I lived in Allen, I stopped in 1-3x every week for dinner, drinks or both. The atmosphere is casual, food is moderately priced(you MUST try the margherita pizza!!) and the service is attentive. Drinks are excellent and they have many of their own specially-brewed beers. Margaritas are good and not watered down. I love what Baine did with the bar. It's separate from the dining area with it's own walls, door and ventilation system(for those of us who are allergic to cigarette smoke). There's even a patio for dining al fresco. Also? Apple smoked bacon. Order it on anything. It's their specialty and it's amazing!! There are lots of big screens, both in the bar and dining areas so you can watch your favorite game. The weekend breakfast buffet is good, but the price is WAY out of bounds for what you get. There are only 10 - -12 items on the buffet to choose from (which NEVER varies from week to week) and the price is $12.99 per person. If you buy a drink, your cost for breakfast goes over $15.00!! Come on Two Rows, that's just ridiculous for some eggs, bacon and bread. This limited selection of food shouldn't cost more than $8.99 a person, plus drink cost. We used to love this place. Twice a month at least. Then things started to change and definitely not for the best. The prices went up, portions got smaller, and the care they used to put into making their food went down the drain. We first noticed this about a year ago. My wife always got the ahi tuna and asked for one of the toppings on the side. Not only did they lather it on the top (ok, mistakes happen), but were frustrated to fix it, and then did it wrong again. Next time we came back, same issue. Ok, not ordering that anymore. we decided to give it one more try last week and my dish was just gross. they have stacked enchiladas with spinach artichoke dip spread within. I care enough about my heart that i witheld that. Still it was basically a plate of cheese. The amount of chicken was small, the grease from the melted cheese was sitting atop the entire plate. Service was slow/non-existent and food was dreadful. When we arrived, there was no host/hostess to greet and seat patrons. We stood in the waiting area for quite some time and in spite of several staff members seeing us waiting, no one acknowledged us or assisted us. They were more interested in jabbering amongst themselves. That should have been our clue to leave immediately. The service was generally slow which was surprising given the near empty state of the place. The waitstaff seemed generally disinterested in assisting patrons, making recommendations regarding the menu, or even addressing feedback regarding the poor quality of one of your signature dishes - The Cuban Sandwich that my friend ordered. Additionally, the Jan's Burrito (chicken) dish was just a soggy mess of goo and in all honesty a trip to Taco Bell would have been much better and cheaper. They cooked veggies super-done so I could mash them for my infant grandson. The mac n cheese was devoured by my toddler grandson. The service was great as well.
