We've lived in Allen for 6 years and this restaurant is a MILE from our house, lol. We had driven by Two Rows a million times and never paid much attention. We decided to Yelp 'em and see what they had to offer. The chicken fried steak sounded good to my spouse and the cheeseburger sounded good to me! The chicken fried steak comes w mashed potatoes and plenty of gravy for your steak and your potatoes. I ordered their homemade onion rings w an Old Fashioned Cheddar Cheese burger. The chicken fried steak is the best you'll eat anywhere. And you won't find better onion rings anywhere either. They're so good, I can't eat onion rings anywhere, but Two Rows. Now, we're regulars, we order pickup from there a couple of times a month. I've also had their pepperoni pizza and tried their mushroom/Swiss burger. Both were equally awesome. These guys will go above and beyond for their customers. Our fridge had died, at one point, when we had ordered pickup. When we got home, I opened up my burger, to put all the fixins on it and there weren't any at all. They had forgotten to pack the lettuce, tomatoes and onions for my burger. I called them up and told them my predicament. I mentioned that our fridge was down, so I didn't have any veggies of my own and that I was too tired to come back up there, to get them. So the manager says, he'll just run them over to our house! WHAT?! Yep, he got my fixins and drove them to my house! He even threw in some of their famous bacon, as a bonus! Talk about AMAZING customer service! That made us loyal customers for life If you're like us and have driven past Two Rows without paying attention, you should pay attention and go get an amazing lunch or dinner. Stopped in solely because it was right next to the hotel I was staying in, and had absolutely no expectations or understanding of what might be on the menu. I was excited when I saw a seafood pasta dish that included crawfish, farfalle, and alfredo sauce, which are all in my list of favorite things. I have to say that the pasta was incredibly tasty without being too heavy. And even though they don't logically go with a seafood pasta, I had a cup of the chili as well as a few margaritas because, well, I just wanted them. Both were also fantastic. Went to try their Old Fashion Burger. It has Kobe beef in it! It was cooked perfectly, and was SO juicy! I really liked it and place it near the top burgers in the Allen area. I only wished it had more of the Chargrill flavor. Not sure how they can do that?.... It was cooked medium well. Any longer would have meant it would have been over done. Fries were good, but too limp. Needed a few more minutes in the frier IMO. Kobe Beef served with leaf lettuce, red onions, tomatoes and a pickle spear. The bun was a great brioche bun! read more

we have been regulars at this restaurant for several months with. no issues. Last Friday nite I contracted food poisoning from eating a burger. I contacted the owner and informed him of this and all he wanted to say this was their most popular item and no one else had contacted him about being sick. I explained to him that I didn't care if anyone else had called but I was informing him of this. Tried this place out because my friend said one of the waitresses came into his store and told him that she worked at TwoRows. So we went in, he never saw her there until after we left anyway, so that doesn't really matter, but we're here for the food. We both got a burger, split a pizza, and got some sides. I'll go through each item. The burger I got was the Theta Burger. It was pretty good. Pretty average. It's one of those burgers that's cooked pretty well but the problem is they rely entirely on the toppings to provide the flavor of burger, instead of doing anything to the meat itself. Or if they do, it's not enough. It was still enjoyable, though. The pizza was about average. It's what we expected from a diner pizza. There really isn't too much to go into detail on this one, not anything that really stands out. The onion rings were abysmal. I got these onion rings and most of them were the hard skin of the onion (one is even visible in the picture) and were unchewable and quite disgusting. The candied bacon was fantastic! Of course, this is something that's much more popular down here in Texas than it is back from where I'm from in Chicago, because up until then I've never had this, but I've also discovered that this is more common down here than I thought it was. So the novelty of it disappeared pretty fast. The Queso dip was fantastic. Definitely enjoyed that more than I thought I would, and I hate mushrooms. This quest was definitely delicious and worth it for sure. Between the Queso and the bacon, this place gets an average score. It's worth the shot if you're really just hunkering down for some basic diner food. The atmosphere and the service were both fantastic. read more

We had dinner at TwoRows on a recent Saturday night. My wife and I each had one of the burger platters and they were delicious. The meat was cooked perfectly and the toppings were excellent. Excellent service at this restaurant! Immediately walking in, I loved the pictures of all the well known faces of Dallas. We were seated quickly and our waiter Eric had an amazing attitude that made me even more eager to try the food. The honey pepper bacon was a the perfect amount of sweet, spicy, and smoky. When ordering the chips and dip ask them to not make the chips too cooked because it left a bit of an aftertaste, but the manager Dave was super kind enough to bring us a new batch of chips! The burger was juicy (I also loved that it wasn't too greasy), full of flavor and the brioche bun was soft and buttery. This is a gem in the middle of a ton or restaurants and bars. The food was amazing, and fair priced. We went early so I dont know how crowded it gets during rush but I can imagine its full. Owner came out and told us he wasnt happy with the quality of the special my date ordered and suggested she try something else which I thought was amazing. Staff was friendly, food was great. Maybe forgotten by some who used to frequent the old Dallas (Greenville Ave.) location, Two Rows still exists ... and it's fantastic. DFW doesn't have anything in the way of great pizza, but the pizzas at Two Rows are sneaky-good -- quietly on the list for best in the Metroplex. Try the BBQ Chicken. You're welcome. The last time I went was with a large party, so we sampled a little of a lot of things. Among appetizers, we had Mozzarella Logs (solid), Brewhouse Fries (even better) and the Honey Pepper Bacon, which will change you ... in a good way. I've had several burgers there. The Slap Yo Mama burger (chili, cheddar and an egg) is good, but the chili was a little much -- I scraped some off. But the flavor was terrific. The Ranch & Honey Pepper Bacon burger is simply awesome. Cheesesteaks are like pizza -- there isn't a great one in DFW -- but this one is pretty good, and the Honey Pepper Baked Chicken sandwich is fantastic ... especially if you swap out the Monterrey Jack for better cheese. That's all I've had ... so far. But when blowing through Allen, that's one of two can't-miss stops. read more

In one of my last meals out prior to most of our area going to take out and delivery only due to covid-19, my family all met here for their Sunday Brunch Buffet. It was pretty "meh". The food did not seem like it was being kept fresh very well and the eggs were straight up nasty. The pancakes were old as well and although they had several different flavors, why have them when the are not fresh. Came here for a work happy hour. We weren't aware the bar area was smoking... like seriously? It's 2020, who even does that?! Anyways... the staff accommodated our group and moved us to the patio. They were short staffed but great. The food and drinks were delicious also. I got the blueberry lemonade and the jerk wings. Do not order the winter coat drink though! It's nasty. I can only tell you to follow this rule of thumb. EAT THE DESSERTS FIRST! If you don't you will be sad bc the food is great and you will eat it all and be full. The brisket quesadillas are insane and enough for 2 people or one teenage boy. I've never gotten anything off this menu that I didn't like. It's all Good. The meatloaf, the tacos, the pizza, all great. Also the Mac and cheese is the one! I love getting fat here! Staff is friendly and nice and the order to serve time is actually pretty quick. Food and service was great. Came here for Mother's Day weekend dinner with my husband. We were able to walk over to the restaurant from our hotel: Hilton Garden Inn. We were seated quickly, our waiter was attentive. I ordered bread pudding and as an appetizer we ordered the zucchini spears. The spears were delicious, we would order them again. I love bread pudding but wouldn't ordered it again here. I'm not a big fan of alcohol anymore and the sauce to pour on the bread pudding had tequila. It would be nice to have a white chocolate sauce or something else. I did try the sauce that came with it but wasn't impressed. I added ice cream on the side to help give moisture. My husband ordered the shrimp and grits. I believe next time I will go with my initial thought to order the ice cream with bacon. read more
