I first passed by Txokoa on my way to another restaurant nearby, and I made a mental note that it looked classy and serene. When you've been battling Barcelona traffic, a peaceful location is inviting.
Needless to say, after frustrations at the other restaurant reached my breaking point, I left and walked over to Txokoa. Best decision I made.
Their hosts and servers are welcoming and friendly, and I immediately felt the stress start to fade away. I was seated on the quiet patio, which was perfect.
Feeling the need to eat something other than tapas, I ordered the house salad which was tasty and satisfying with a nice presentation. The main course was a beef tenderloin on a sizzling plate. Just excellent in every way.
I highly recommend Txokoa and hope to return someday. read more
