It's been disheartening at best. My scalp issue though has been on hyper drive, so after hearing of a new medication, I started looking for a care provider that could assist. Kelly and I messaged initially to ensure what I was looking for was within her scope and then I made an appt. Kelly was thorough right out of the gate, getting a list of all medicines and products I've used and then I completed a standard profile prior to my appt. Kelly examined my scalp, documented the issues I've been having, checked for skin cancer while reviewing the area and then had me walk her through all the details. Made me a bit emotional to have such undivided and sincere care. It's been a hot min since I've had any of that and it's just not common anymore. My scalp issue will take time and effort to resolve but that's not why I wanted to write a review. I finally had a professional give me their full attention, ask all the right questions, dig in with me to start mapping a resolution and refer me to a dermatologist for some additional care that was out of her scope. I worked with her billing for more than a year, indicating I should not be responsible for the doctors charge. At the end the doctor wanted her $200 even though she missed the spot. If I did that in my profession I would be embarrassed. She took a guess. Bad guess. So I have a scar where she took good meat. I have an issue still there untouched. The receptionist at first said they had no opening for the next two days, but when I mentioned I was a new patient and needed to be looked at right away, they squeezed me in a few hours later! Brand new office located on the border of Vista and Carlsbad. Waiting room is great! It's comfy and there's a restroom conveniently located right in the waiting area. As for my visit, the doc talked my ear off and repeated the same thing to me over and over again. Then I had to tell him my story again because he didn't listen carefully the first time.... nice guy though! But I was on my lunch, so I didn't really have time to linger or to waste. Again, nice doc though.
