I really try to refuse to go to the mall because of how uptight the employees are especially if a customer is shopping alone. I don't enjoy the idea of being policed by other employees even if I'm by myself. Worst bathrooms I've ever seen , good thing I'm not in charge, someone would be fired. Signs all over the place telling you to wash your hands and how to wash them. None of the sinks worked, no soap, stalls didn't lock. Come on people. I've seen biker bars with cleaner restrooms. read more

If you are looking for a mall with fine dining, spectacular commodities, luxurious merchandise, topnotch security and grand mall-updates then sorry, you are at the wrong place. However, it's still a great mall and one of my favorites in the bay area. Tyrone square mall has all the stores I enjoy, my safety is not in question, I find great deals, and I always have positive experiences. Inside the mall you will find your mall basics such as jcpenny, sears, h&m, g by guess, ect and all the stores I love surrounding it such as homegoods, ross, tj maxx as well as restaurants. I come here to leisurely shop and thoroughly enjoy myself each time. Yes, the mall decor is a bit dated and you won't always find the most sophisticated of shoppers surrounding you, however, the mall is appeasing, safe, clean and offers great stores. read more

This is mostly a juniors mall, like apparel for teens to twenties. It is kind of ghetto, especially the food court. They have some good stores like Forever 21 and Traffic, and also some locally owned urbanwear stores. They also have a bubble tea place, but it is really watered down. It is kind of out of the way for folks travelling down I275, so I usually prefer to just go to Tampa, since it takes the same amount of time to get there. read more

I like this mall! I My hometown's "mall" was TINY compared to Tyrone Square Mall so I'm very happy with all of the stores here. It's never really extremely crowded the times I have been and I've always been able to find parking (pro-tip: don't try to park near the main entrance and park at one of the department stores. You'll get in and out much quicker!). Lots of stores to appease me and keep me busy for hours! The food court and restaurant options are not too shabby either. I believe there's a Lee Roy Selmon's, Hooter's, Bonefish Grill, Lime Fresh Mexican Grill and a couple other restaurants located here. Interior of mall is nice and always clean. I prefer shopping here as opposed to International (so busy there!). Smaller crowds and because of this- better in store selection and stock of things I want! read more

While down in St. Pete on vacation, the wife and I needed to swing in to Old Navy and pick up some clothes, and the closest was located inside the Tyrone Square Mall. I was glad to see there was TONS of parking, and we made our way inside. Wasn't blown away by the place, but wasn't disgusted, it was your standard, typical mall. Quiet, clean, and included the usual type of stores you would expect. Food court had a nice selection in terms of types of food (Chick-Fil-A, Chinese, Burgers, Subs, Pizza), and the selection of actual restaurants was also pretty good. If you can't find what you're looking for inside the mall itself, there's something in the area, for sure, I saw TONS of different major retailers within a half mile in all directions. Good mall, not great, but a nice selection of stores in a well-kept mall is always A-OK by me. read more

Tyrone Square - Shopping Centers Near Me - St Petersburg, Florida

I wouldn't know what mall to go to in St. Pete if they smacked me in the face. On a random "Explore St. Pete" day we searched "mall" and this came up. So we went here. Tyrone Square Mall has potential, but settles in somewhere between Tampa's prime jewel University Mall and maybe... Westshore? It wasn't thaaat bad, but it also wasn't great or upscale by any means. Coty had it right that there are a lot of juniors clothing options (but I still wear some juniors clothes although I'm in my mid-20s, don't judge me!). The fact that they have an H&M though- big plus! We also tried a new store called Cotton On that I had never even heard of before (I live under a rock apparently) but I liked the selection. The sales associates at both stores were friendly. I think this mall is alright but it needs a facelift on the outside. The "perpetually under construction since the 1970s" look ain't a good one. I'd probably return if I was in that area again but I wouldn't go out of my way to come back. read more

Having lived in St. Pete all my life, Tyrone mall has been the only mall I've ever frequently visited. When I witnessed more upscale areas such as the International mall in Tampa, I definitely saw the difference in atmosphere, dept stores, and the type of people that visit. And yes, tyrone acts as the "poor man's mall" compared to the international mall and westshore. One thing I can say is that tyrone isn't ghetto as previous reviews claim, however many kids and adults that roam or live there can make it seem like it's ghetto. It makes for a good day of lunch and people watching when you don't want to people watch at Walmart. Various entrances help make getting into Tyrone mall a lot easier. In addition to the main entrance that leads into the food court, as well as small entrances near the department stores, you have JC Penneys, Dillards, Sears, and probably a couple other store entrances that I can't remember. Exterior leaves much to be desired, but at the same time it's only a one-floor mall so you can't do much else to it besides a little work here and there. They have attempted to make the entrance presentable, at least, and for the sake of simplicity I don't think the mall looks bad at all from the outside. The interior isn't bad either. Any entrance point looks inviting, and the mall is always nice and cool inside - a great plus for hot and sunny Florida. If there's one thing I've noticed about Tyrone mall, it's that a good number of department stores are always being switched out, which is a shame because there were many stores that I loved that ended up closing. JC Penney, Sears, and Orange Julius are the only stores that have been there since Tyrone it first opened in 1972. Depending on the season and time of day, it's going to get crowded here, as with any other mall. Florida's the home of old folks, so you're going to see a lot of elderly here. St. Petersburg is also the home of some pretty nasty folk, so you're also going to see a lot of trash here. But the department stores themselves are really nice, and I think this mall is worth browsing through. At least until you get to the bigger and better malls. ;D read more

i have been to this mall a few times, and I like it a lot. It's a good size with stores I don't see by my mall. It's clean and comfy. Some of the stores I like to stop by are Francesca's, Old Navy, & H&M. They also have a food court, Hooters, Red robin, and Ruby Tuesdays. They have a Sears and Macy. Good place for some retail therapy, a break from the beach, or a haven from the rain. read more

I have grown up going to Tyrone Mall. It is a great place to shop, stroll or dine. (Or all of the above). They even have a grocery store and a pet store! It is wonderful to be able to shop in air conditioned comfort and away from summer rains. read more

It's been a year since my past review, and looking back, I was far too critical. I love this place! This mall is just a solid mall. It's not glitzy, but the stores are solid and prices great. Plus, I have good "luck" at this mall. Countryside is really nice, but I always come out empty handed. I love International, but I only love it for the atmosphere and their H&M. Aside from UTC in Sarasota and Westshore across the pond, this is the only mall where I can always find something. Again, the anchors are Sears, JCPenney, Dillards and Macy's. The Sears is going! I'm not sure when, but it'll be replaced by a Lucky's Market, Dick's Sporting Goods, and a few other shops. This might bring some new life into this mall! Anyways, out of the anchors, I'm really surprised to say that JCP is my favorite of the bunch. I always find something good, and while the clothes aren't super trendy, they have tons of great basic clothes and staples that never go out of style. I like Macy's a lot, but it's not as big as other Macy's in the area. I find the associates at Dillards overbearing... The food court is good as well. Nothing has changed, but the former pizza shop has remained unoccupied. I'm sensing some weird vibes there, as nothing there has lasted more than a few months. H&M continues to be a favorite of mine, but Old Navy is up there too. And I occasionally find myself wandering into Hollister...their jeans are great! The Aeropostale is in some state of change...it's not listed on the list of those that are closing due to bankruptcy, but I presume it's undergoing some type of renovation or restructuring, because they're doing a huge clearance sale (with those signs that are traditionally used for closing sales). A Pandora store is being added...maybe this shows a new initiative by the mall owners to make it a little more upscale. On that note, this mall is not fancy. It is clean, but it's only a single floor. It's pretty modern, but the area around Dillards is pretty outdated. Overall, this mall is pretty basic but it's more than adequate. It's always lively, and I don't know what I'd do without it! read more

I loved the Burberry and Mcm and Gucci services they were super nice and they were very helpful

It used to be THE place to be and to be seen back in the 80s and 90s, now it's like watching an aging parent. The stores are disappearing and not being replaced. I saw Cache closing recently and realized that something is incredibly wrong. The highly expensive store for older thin and elegantly dressed women has been around all my life as an unmoving staple. Even S'barrro's Pizza from the food court vanished. A pizza replacement came that I regretted trying. Not sure if it's there anymore. In general, there seems to be an atmosphere of lack of interest in the air. There are good things like the bathrooms are clean, touchless and modern. Halloween is largely celebrated by having the children walk to the different stores for candy providing a safe environment for trick and treating. They still have a good selection of stores and a few years back added H & M which is my favorite. The Charlotte Russe and other similar stores seem to have really made an effort to lower their prices. I hope to see a positive change but it will take work, the right people on their team, timing and a dash of hope. read more

This mall has seen better days. The anchor stores (Macy's, JCPenny, and Sears) all are well kept and serve their purpose, but there are a lot of Urban Wear stores and other places no one has ever heard of. They have at least 4 sports stores, which my boyfriend loved, and he got all of his dolphins fan gear here. So, that's awesome! Unfortunately, this place didn't vibe with me and I was sore that we spent our time here after I saw the Tampa International Plaza. But, we went to Tyrone Mall to get to the closest Leroy Selman's and that was pretty good for sure. Go here for department stores! read more

Not a bad mall. It's got a decent food court, a good clothing store selection and 4 department stores to choose from. It's always clean and I constantly see security guards around. I was sad to see Borders is gone, and there is no replacement bookstore, but maybe that's just a sign of the times. read more

Good mall, it's just quite small. The people that work within the shops in the mall are usually pretty nice though. I really enjoy going to Lime, Hot Topic, and Claire's. That's all I really go there for though. Kinda boring. If you wish to go to a bigger mall with more to do I suggest Countryside Mall that's near Clearwater. :) read more

This is the worst mall I have ever been to. It needs to be renovated. The restrooms were embrassing. Two stalls had no tiolet seat. The locks were falling off the doors. Two sinks were broken and had yellow tape over them. Soap dispensers not working. Very old and worn looking. The mall is ghetto and trashy. I travel the extra miles and go to Tampa if I want a mall. read more

Not sure what the other reviews are about. This is a well kept mall and nowhere near ghetto as another Yelper has noted. This is in Northwestern St. Pete - far from ghetto. Nice stores, safe atmosphere, but as with any mall in any large city, Friday and Saturday nights will bring out thug life who only want to hang with their peeps and mate with the local split-tails. Yes, International Mall is better, newer by 25 years, and has expensive stores which repel poor urban yutes, but this is a mall like any other. While you're here, stop by Hooters and have a bite, see Crystal at the bar. read more

One od the biggest smalls we have in pinellas. Its packed a lot of the time but over all a good quick mall

I like this mall, but I think it could be cleaner. I realize that it's the customers leaving the dirt, but I think they should hire a little more staff for the cleaning crew. Overall, it's not bad, but not as nice as some of the Tampa malls. I think Tyrone should step it up a little since they are the only mall in St. Pete. read more

Getting better every time we go :) The mall has recently invested in some new restaraunts, new build outs, changed the layout of the shopping areas, etc. I think its wonderful to have such a strong security presence in the mall too (call me weird...) and the parking lot has surveillance during the holiday bustle to boot. I was a little disappointed in the overall feeling of the mall. It seems there should be more security. There is no covered parking for protection from heat or the afternoon showers. This is a Simon mall and the anchor stores are Macys, Dillard's, Penney's, oh , and Sears. The mall has all the usual stores like AE and Aeropostale, also Old Navy and H&M. Would give this mall a higher rating but I feel like it is not a 3 star mall. The stores and food court are fine, however it is the people and the overall aesthetic of the mall that really makes this place bad. There are a lot of young hooligans here strirring up trouble. For instance I was here with my friends and a mad teenager starts yelling in our faces because she "believed we had insulted her" Truley a low-class mall. Kind of a okay mall, growing up around 20-30 minutes away we would come here every once and a while and it just seems like the mall went down hill a little, now a few places are being redone so there getting better but there are a few store fronts that they put black paper over so you can't see inside and there just vacant I think. One word to describe it: Generic. The vaping booth in the center and the other elsewhere are a big turn off purely because there's kids walking around and the employees are just taking huge huffs and blowing it to the side without seeing if there's people, and the stores there get nothing special. It's a average mall you will find your H&M (one of the only reason I go here) Footlocker (doesn't get in any exclusive shoes really so just normal), Macy's (it's a Macy's so good selection), JCpennys (Like Macy's just maybe cheaper), and phone stores, Claire's, etc... The movie theater and restaurants going in are slowly making the mall pretty and cool from the outside but the inside still needs work and stores to be better in order for this to become a 4. Side notes: Kind of a ghost town at times and stores double the size of normal ones with nobody in them and as soon as you walk being surrounded by 3 salesmen is not appealing so many stores I don't even enter because of this and everything is generic. Also Sears went out of the mall (like it should have, it was incredibly empty for so many years with no customers) so with this anchor store out I don't know what could fill it but this will either be a stepping stone to grow or crumble for them (it's a Simon Mall so they have the resources to revamp it all but odds are its not financially worth it). read more
