Unfortunately, they have refused to tow my truck back to the shop to inspect or address the problem. As a customer, I expected them to stand behind their work and help resolve the situation, but that hasn't been my experience. This has been incredibly frustrating and has left me without reliable transportation. I expected better customer service and accountability. I'm not one to go out of my way to write a bad review, but I found my experience with this auto…read moreshop to be particularly bad and want to make people aware of what they will potentially be dealing with. I was having problems with my battery, so I took my car here. They told me I needed a new battery. First of all, the price they wanted to charge me for the battery was significantly higher than anything I could find online, so I asked them to find a cheaper one. They did so, and I chalked that up to not being a car guy and the fact that after all, the shop does need to make money, which I understand. My understanding is that it's pretty standard for the diagnosis fee to be applied to repairs across many auto shops, and this shop advertises that right on their wall. It was one of the reasons I chose to give them my business. So when I saw the diagnostic fee not applied whatsoever to my final bill (400+ for them to change a battery), I asked them why. I got "oh I can do a $70 discount", as if they were doing me a favor. I told them that they advertise applying the diagnosis fee towards the total bill, to which they said "that is not true", and I told them it's right on their wall, which apparently the guy on the phone wasn't aware of. I ended up getting to talk to the "manager", who was pretty argumentative with me, and also tried to deny the existence of the advertisement. When I told him that I saw it with my own two eyes, he then tried to debate me on the definition of "advertising". He then said that the policy of applying the diagnostic fee towards the bill only applies for bills over either 1k or 10k (can't remember which it was). Whatever, I just wanted to be done with them at this point, so I took the $70 discount and moved on with my life. Or so I thought. I recently went to get in my car after letting it sit for a few days only for it to not start up (the original problem I took my car into this shop for). It was dead dead, couldn't even be jumped. I eventually called triple A, and they got it to start with their power jumper. I got a battery test done, and although the battery was fine, there is apparently an issue with the charging system. It sucks, but because of my original experience with this shop, I can't help but wonder if this was the issue from the start.. but obviously, I can't say so for sure, so take it with a grain of salt. I will say, the mechanics and desk workers themselves were quite friendly, but the manager was more interested in debating me than honoring what's on his own wall. Not a great experience overall.

Great, kind, quick service with a dangerous and crucial mistake…read more I'll break this review into two parts. The first part will be about my experience getting serviced by Clarendon Tire, and the second part will be about what resulted. Service experience itself was great. I had noticed a slow leak in my top left tire this past week. At first, I thought it could wait for my regular mechanic to see, but I decided to get it checked ASAP at Clarendon Tire. If it was a nail, maybe it could be patched. I called ahead of time in the morning, and the woman on the phone let me know to bring it by that day before 4, or else maybe it would be too busy. Sure enough, I show up at 3:45, it's getting busy, but they make an effort to take my car in immediately. The mechanic gets to work checking the tire, and the woman behind the desk lets me know a patch fix takes about 40 min and $60, reasonable to me. I go to the bathroom, and by the time I'm out, they flag me down and show me my wheel--no nail, but in fact a small crack near the edge on the inside of the wheel. I really appreciate that they worked so quickly and saved me from preemptively buying a new tire for a non-tire problem. They gave me good suggestions for nearby places that could fix the wheel if I didn't want to replace, and they didn't charge me for their service. I gave the mechanic a $40 tip for his quick and helpful work, and he offered to fill my tire air up before getting going. Overall, very positive experience, and I would have happily returned any time I had tire trouble. 5 star visit, so why the 2 stars overall? Didn't drive for a couple days after, but before I left for work, I went to check my tire pressure to see how much I should fill up to for the day. My tire pressure was more than 60psi. The tire mechanic filled my front left tire up to more than 60psi. Most consumer vehicle tires are rated for around 30psi. My tire pressure meter only goes up to 60, but it stayed at 60 for a while when I was letting air out of the tire. This is insanely high, and dangerous to drive on--my friends exclaimed they're surprised my tire didn't pop on my way home. I would hope that tire mechanics would know the right psi range to fill up a front tire. Instead, I think he filled it up as high as possible or kind of without looking, and it could have caused a really dangerous accident, and cost me a lot of money. The psi is clearly marked in the driver-side door, and I'll need for this place to read that number before filling up tires. Until then, I will not be taking my car here again out of precaution.
