My husband and I checked this place out based on reviews, but to be honest we're surprised with how high of a rating they have. We went in and were greeted. Very nice people. They were out of a few of their specialty burgers, which we were interested in ordering, but they didn't bother to say anything until after our attempt to order. In my opinion, and out of respect for customers, that's something that should be brought to your attention as soon as you walk in. Not after you take time looking at their menu, only to find out half is not available. The burgers we ended up ordering were pretty basic. I ordered the California burger and my husband got the Jalapeño burger. All in all, we would have enjoyed In-N-Out more at half the cost. Nice people, average food. read more

More than anything else I love a good hamburger and this is the first place I go to satisfy the craving. Ty's is a sure thing every time and has become a regular spot for me. The owner and staff are friendly, the prices are fair and they have beer on tap. The back patio area is nice and inviting with succulents everywhere. The burgers and fries are always tasty but their menu also offers other great choices. The ingredients are top quality and the location is right on the heart of Mission; with all that overhead I'm impressed that they keep the prices down as much as they do. read more

Probably the best burger I've ever had! I just went with the cheeseburger and my husband got the jalapeño burger and they were both amazing! You could even taste the spices on the burger meat, which I loved! We also got the trio of fries, sweet potato fries and onion rings. All three so good! I love coming here to get bacon cheeseburgers and onion rings they are the absolute best. Definitely do yourself a favor and eat here it is well worth it. I just needed a burger after a week in Baja! This totally satisfied my craving. I had the Traditional, hubby had the Kobe with grilled onions and mushrooms. Yummmm. We ordered the trio of regular French fries, sweet potato fries and onion rings. It was too much for just us two, loved the regular fries, but we weren't thrilled with the onion rings (not crispy enough). Bummed. We go here all the time and today is the day we had a bad experience. Came home from grabbing our take out order to find that our order was completely messed up. We attempted to call MANY times and no body answers. Very annoying. Can't let them know they messed up our order. Can't drive back because by the time we do they will be closed. Very disappointed. Happened across Ty's this past Sunday and my family and I were very happy with the food and the service. Having my favorite beer on tap just sealed the deal. The Burgers and the kid's meals were great and the outdoor seating area in the back allowed me and my wife to enjoy our lunch without worrying if our four boys were disturbing the other guests. Ordered the Classic Burger with Bacon and Haystack Onions. That thing was huge! It was also tasty. It didn't taste anything like a frozen burger from a fast food chain. It was really fresh. Husband and I also ordered the Chili Cheese Fries. I didn't care for them too much but once I got home and had a few glasses of wine they got ate, lol. We also ordered the sweet potato fries and those were delicious. Even though I didn't care for the chili fries i will order them again. Husband and I will definitely be making this our Burger joint and maybe I'll be a little more adventurous and try something different!!! Keep up the good job! read more

DELICIOUS! First time this past weekend I got the California Burger I believe it was, but along those lines it was amazing! Their customer service is great, I believe a gentleman was even off the clock or possibly taking a break but I truly appreciated him noticing the long line and recalling that I've already ordered, without hesitation he asked if he could help me with anything. You don't get that often especially when employees are on breaks, etc. I wish I got his name but he didn't have a name tag. But overall service and food this place is great! read more

Kids had great burgers and I really enjoyed my salad. All in all super yummy and close enough to the beach that we could walk after fun day.

Not sure how the reviews are all so good with this place burger had little to no flavor and the fries just plan old unsalted fries that were on warm. Ordered the bacon blue burger and added mushrooms and pepper jack cheese couldn't even taste the blue cheese just a pile of lettuce and tomato would rather go some where else and save my money. read more

So this is by FAR my favorite burger spot. The quality and taste of the food here is nothing short of amazing. I've tried all sorts of burgers here to include the Mac n cheese burger, The elk burger, The wild boar burger and the grass fed beef burger. My go to is the Elk though. Who else sells this kind of meat? I haven't seen one. Plus the bacon is on point and with the garlic aioli, OMG. Get the garlic aioli with your fries to dip. My family and I have eaten there in the past. The service has been good, not excellent, and the burgers done well. This time, I was alone for the weekend and decided to call in my order. I kept getting the pre-recorded message all night. I finally decided to go in. The place was filled but not bursting with customers. I approached the counter and the lady at the counter told me they were out of fries, that the owner went to buy more. I said okay. Just as I was placing my order he arrives with the stash of frozen french fries. I add that to my turkey burger order. As I'm waiting for my order outside, because they don't have a waiting area, the counter lady decides to come out for a smoke. I don't smoke so I can't relate to the necessity of smoking during work hours. She decides to smoke in front of the building next door. Obviously, burger customers can still smell the cigarette smoke. My order takes about 15 min. to complete. She immediately hands me my order without asking if I'm needing any condiments for my takeout order. Having eaten there before, I had an idea of the usual portions. When I get home, the fries portion was 1/3 of what it is in the restaurant. Were they afraid they were going to run out of fries again? I was very disappointed. The burger was descent, again. Will not be going back again and paying $11 for a burger and 1/3 fries order and bad service. Oh...on the way out I mentioned to the counter lady about the constant recorded message during work hours...her response was "we don't answer the phone when we're busy". I was amazed that they do that. They're probably missing out on customers... certainly me from now on. read more

Their burgers are really tasty from the buns to the patties and the choice of toppings! If you want burgers, definite place to go. The servers are friendly. Fries are good. A casual spot to relax.
