I came here with a large group of family for Easter Sunday. We were in a back room and were mainly the only party in the room so that was nice. Our server was very attentive and helped with all the accommodations we needed. We did the Easter prix fixe menu. I had the Maryland crab bisque, really good but a tad bit too salty. Then I had the 8 oz Filet Mignon. It was so good. Tasty and filling. We then shared a few desserts. I remember the chocolate cake stole the show. I'd definitely be back!

This was a really good brunch buffet. I met a friend here for their weekend brunch buffet which we both enjoyed. Staff were friendly and the Bellinis were tasty. A very large space inside with lots of seating. The buffet was on the bar side of the restaurant. There was a seafood section, some pastries, main breakfast options, fruit, an omelette and prime rib station, and mini desserts. I did enjoy the seafood although it lacked any sauce (hot sauce, vinegar) which I requested from my server instead. Overall, a very good buffet with plenty of options for people to enjoy.

Location has plenty of parking and indoor seating. Hosts were welcoming and our waiter was attentive. I really enjoyed my pineapple martini and loved my added cherries. Food was flavorful and the bread was absolutely delicious!!! Dessert was ok, but presentation was nice. If in VA we will def visit again.

This is the perfect place to celebrate! My partner & i went to celebrate his birthday and we enjoyed everything from the service to the food. The restaurant gives a intimate and romantic vibe. The food was absolutely delicious and very filling! S/o to our server Lara who gave us awesome recommendations and took very good care of us. We will definitely be coming back and i definitely would recommend!

Went here for dinner the other night. The service was really nice. They did forget my friend's side but brought it immediately once we notified them. Restaurant had decent amount of parking outside restaurant as well as option for valet. We had reservations ahead of time. The place was decently lit and not too loud. The lamb was delicious with a side of mushroom risotto and corn. The carrot cake was huge and really good. My friends said: it was some of the best they've ever had. The crème brûlée was also good (not too heavy).

Went here for a mother daughter date for Valentines Day Dinner. BE SURE TO MAKE A RESERVATION! We went at 6pm and it was packed so thank God we had our reservation. Parking is tight, but they had a garage directly across the street and Valet. Ambiance is very cute and nice. I wasn't too fond of the table we were at as it was flimsy and close to the neighboring table. Oyster Rockefeller was terrible very soupy and taste was bad. Cesar salad was super basic. However, the steak and lobster were good. My martini was perfect and my daughter loved the lemonade. Deserts were a heart shaped chocolate cake which was superb. I will go again on a regular weekend to see how the food compares as valentines was very busy.

Disappointed--French Onion Soup was too salty--too much bread and Cheese was chewy--like gum--Beef rib tips were so overcooked and sparce--Prime Rib was not Prime-not even Choice.

We came here for lunch during restaurant week and it was so packed I definitely recommend getting a reservation! The food was excellent- we really enjoyed the steak frites, crab bisque, and chocolate mousse! The whole restaurant was so pretty and the service was very kind and fast! Definitely worth it

I walked here from my hotel and it was cold outside. When I walked in, I appreciated the warm vibe inside. Since I was by myself, I sat at the bar. The service was adequate. I ordered a bottle of wine and filled my own wine glass. Bartender did check in on me after my food arrived and when I appeared ready to pay. The food arrived a little quicker than I expected, which was great. My steak was cooked perfectly, had great flavor and was tender. I loved the crispy skin on the baked potato as I eat that part too, but did have to brush off a good bit of salt. I like mine with just sour cream, but you can order it loaded. The truffle butter mushrooms were truly delicious.

I've always enjoyed J. Gilbert's, but this visit was disappointing. The service was unusually slow, and when the food finally arrived, it wasn't very warm. The shrimp were overcooked and not as described on the menu. Overall, the quality seems to have gone downhill from what it used to be. Unfortunately, I'll probably look elsewhere next time. The sour cream and onion martini tasted nothing like sour cream and onion

My mom felt very special dining here for her birthday as I made a reservation and let the restaurant know what we were celebrating! All the food was absolutely delicious and definitely the best steak I've probably ever had. The server was very attentive and knowledgable since it was our first time dining here (won't be our last). Thank you J. Gibert's for making our dinner so special.

Recently, Eater DC published a list of what they considered the best steakhouses in the DMV…read more Randy's made the list. We were looking for a place to have our anniversary dinner. After seeing the list, we chose Randy's. Randy's is a Great American Restaurant, and I must say it's so good to go to a GAR with a menu different from the others. In the past, I've written about how one can go to Coastal Flats and get pretty much the same menu as, for example, Jackson's. We made a reservation for 5 p.m. on a Saturday. We arrived about a half hour early, so we asked if they could seat us right then and there. The people at the host stand said "yes". We were seated at a 4-top booth. Thus, there was plenty of room. The booths, which have mohair seat coverings, were a shade of green and quite attractive. The environment clearly says "upscale steakhouse." Our server was prompt in getting to us and asked if we wanted some water. We chose tap water. He gave us time to look over the menu. We decided to not have any appetizers as we didn't want to get too full. To drink, my husband got a glass of Catena Malbec while I got an Espresso Martini. Our server asked if we wanted some bread. We said "yes". The bread basket had 2 flaky, buttery croissants, plus a slice of white bread and a slice with raisins. For our main course, we both got the 7 oz. filet mignon cooked medium rare. We chose to try two sides. One side was "roasted asparagus" which consists of: "poached egg, parmesan (we asked for no cheese and our request was honored), truffled Bernaise aioli". The second side was "Honey roasted organic rainbow carrots," which were "dusted with candied walnuts". As for the food --- We both thought our steaks were properly cooked, However, my husband said his was on the dry side while mine was just right. We both really enjoyed the side dishes. The asparagus was unconventional, to be sure. Never did I have a poached egg with asparagus. I ate the egg, and it was properly cooked. Looking back, I should have thought to put some salt on it as there was none. The truffled sauce was creamy and added nice flavor. The carrots, to me anyway, were a pleasant surprise. The honey added a nice flavor along with the candied walnuts. They, too, were cooked perfectly. As for being "rainbow" carrots, most were orange, with some white and yellow ones. We had some room for dessert, so we decided to share "Tressa's crispy meringue filled with lemon curd and finished with passionfruit coulis". Since it was our anniversary dinner, a dollop of whipped cream was added to the plate. In that dollop was a lit candle, which was a nice touch. I found the coulis to be on the tart side. The lemon curd was mildly flavored. Service was excellent, though dessert took a while ,to arrive. All in all, a nice splurge and we're glad we came here. (Well...we didn't care for the traffic on Leesburg Pike, but the dinner made it worth the trip).

The atmosphere: The restaurant is beautifully decorated, with a warm and inviting ambiance. There is plenty of spacious booth seating, which made for a comfortable dining experience. The food: My table started with the Crispy Fried Point Judith Calamari to share. I have a peanut and tree nut allergy and didn't initially realize that the dish included pesto. The staff promptly remade the appetizer without the pesto, which I appreciated. However, the interaction left me feeling a bit like an inconvenience based on the tone of the response. For my entrée, I ordered the Patsy's 5 Star Reserve Rib Eye. It was cooked to a perfect medium rare and was absolutely delicious. I also added a side of the House Steak Sauce, and it paired wonderfully with the steak. I highly recommend trying it if you're someone who enjoys dipping sauces with your steak! The service: Overall, the service was pleasant. The staff was kind, attentive, and ensured we had everything we needed throughout the meal. While there were a few minor hiccups, I enjoyed my visit and would return to try more of the menu.

The only downside of the experience is at the end when the waiter was boxing up all the food for us. Very sweet that they do this but when boxing up my partners food, they only boxed up the rice and they got rid of the lamb that he was looking forward to eating more of later. As soon as we entered, General Manager Sam welcomed us like old friends. After we were seated, my wife asked if he had previously worked at The Dabney, and sure enough, that's where we recognized him from. It was great catching up as he shared what he'd been doing since then and how his dream had always been to open his own restaurant. Seeing that dream come to life made the evening feel even more special. The restaurant was busy (definitely make reservations), but we were able to enjoy cocktails while we waited for our table. My Grey Goose martini with bleu cheese olives was phenomenal and set the tone for the rest of the meal. We started with the Bison Tartare and the Ceviche. The bison tartare was leaner than traditional beef tartare, and the crispy chips added the perfect savory crunch. The ceviche was incredibly fresh and bright. For our entrées, I had the ribeye while my wife ordered the Dory. The ribeye was cooked perfectly--juicy, tender, and packed with flavor. My wife couldn't stop talking about how buttery and delicious the fish was. To finish the evening, we ordered the 100-Year Port Flight featuring 10-, 20-, 30-, and 40-year ports. Vertical tastings are such a fun way to experience how a wine evolves over time. The 40-year was absolutely outstanding, and the 20-year was another favorite. The 10-year was enjoyable but still showed its youthful character compared to the older vintages. The atmosphere strikes a nice balance between upscale and relaxed. The main dining room can feel a little tight when the restaurant is full, while the bar area has a few TVs for anyone wanting to catch a game. One thoughtful touch that stood out was the women's restroom being stocked with amenities like hair ties and hair clips. We noticed they also offer a tasting menu, and after this experience, that's already on our list for our next visit. Between the outstanding hospitality, exceptional food, excellent cocktails, and welcoming atmosphere, Evelyn Rose absolutely earned five stars.

O my! I don't know where to start…read more.. Chris L. was our serve on this trip and he had wonderful recommendations, like: 1. Golden hour cocktail - It was just lovely! It tastes like the best rum punch you've had. It was perfectly sweet, but not too sweet. Beautiful in color. So good I had to sip this one very slowly...like it was the last or only one ever made. DELICIOUS! He also recommended the: 2. Smoked Old Fashioned and it was served to perfection as well. Nice and smoky and smooove. Then...we had the lobster tacos. I don't like lobster. Well, I didn't like lobster until I tried these tacos. To be honest, the lobster tasted like crab legs and the taco was dressed in all fresh ingredients (avocado, charred corn, cilantro, and a fresh flour tortilla) Alright...then next up was the Panko Crusted Sole. It is not filleted tableside because it is pan seared in the kitchen. It was very filling. I think I had three nice-sized filets. It came pretty much with a light and fresh tomato salad. You should do it! Then there was the Crab Cake, which was good. It was in the sweeter end. It was a large portion. It does not have jumbo lump crab meat, but don't let that deter you. Christ also informed us that the "Accompaniments" (sides) could be ordered in half sizes and indeed we - I - had a half size of the Au Gratin Potatoes. They were very smooth, flavorful, and creamy. Also, shouts out to Oscar who held down the water service and the other little things in between that also made this evening even better. The ambiance...I can't wait to head here again on Friday! I went in Saturday evening and the 3 Bears (band) was the live musical entertainment. They were AMAZING! To be honest, I just want to drop in and get a salad and drink...but everything else was so wonderful that $300 later, I'm writing this review. It was worth every penny - and don't forget to tip the band yall! That's it.

My son is very particular about what he eats, and the fact that a mini filet with French fries was an option made this an easy dinner outing with a 4 year old. He had a fruit plate starter then the fillet and finished with a vanilla ice cream! Top tier! Bravo and Thank you Eddie V's!

My friend got the filet mignon which she enjoyed. Brian was an excellent server, making sure we had everything we need, handled several requests with promptness and professionalism, and had our bread pudding dessert decorated with "Happy Birthday" for my friend. First time: I had the lobster roll which came heaped with lobster chunks. I had to eat the lobster for a while before I could pick it up or risk the lobster falling out - so nice not to be hungry after getting a lobster roll! It came with a generous serving shoestring fries - really good and grilled corn on the cob. We had Aracely and Delilaha, two friendly and wonderful waitstaff, one of whom was being trained and the other had been there for years. My friend told them that it was my birthday, and they came out later with a scoop of vanilla ice cream with happy birthday written in chocolate and a candle in whipped cream. I was also impressed how even a straw wrapper sitting on the table was scooped up by someone coming by. The tall ceilings gave the restaurant an open, airy atmosphere. Next door is the associated bakery where they have cupcakes, pastries, cinnamon rolls, and other lovely treats.

We started with the calamari, which was crispy, flavorful, and paired really well with the lobster ginger sauce (need more of it on the side, please!). We also ordered the Hot Spinach and Artichoke Dip, but unfortunately it wasn't very hot. It came out mildly warm, so it wasn't as melty and gooey as we were expecting. For my entrée, I had the Short Smoked Salmon Filet, and it was cooked to a perfect medium. The Creole mustard sauce added great flavor, and the mash was creamy. The only thing I wasn't crazy about was the asparagus. I wish there had been an option to sub it for another side. The restaurant is spacious, with plenty of parking both out front and in the side garage. Our server was attentive and kept the Ozzies coming!
